Testing the FT-991A in 9600 bps FM Packet mode

The FT-991A does support 9600 bps FM packet mode - with the catch that it can't be done using the USB port - the transmitted audio must come from the RTTY/DATA port. Thanks for the video. Does the USB port on the 991A work for 1200 bps? What are the settings for that. I am trying to use a key at 1200 bps on Winlink but have issues configuring it. Thanks in advance.

It definitely should work, as I have tested my 991A as an APRS I-Gate on 1200. Can't help on WinLink, apologies.

The mixer is VoiceMeeter Banana. The Panadapter/waterfall is HDSDR plus a RTL/SDR dongle.

@@rodrigoabfreire3490 Thank you! And how is this connected to the FT-991A? I want to do packet radio, would I need an additional SDR dongle for that?

@@TheUrbanHam It's connected via the USB port. In order to do packet radio, you will need a modem. There are some software that can act as a modem, so the USB port carries the audio signal that will be sent to the software and encode/decode data. Look for software packet TNC. Good luck!
