I am heartbroken over Tim's misfortune. All the best to You and your family Tim. Your music is part of my being, and its pleasure will be lifelong.. Martin
I keep coming back to this vid... You realize how much of a total genius Tim is and the faith of the band in him and him in the band. Even with everything going on around him he's mentally conducting every beat, with slight hand gestures and facial tweeks and he knows damn well that it's just his own piece of mind he's doing it for.... a completely legendary performance, even after a massive gig and I agree with Thatstidy..i'm a mess after this too. Love him, and Iove the band. Love to all fish
I was there swimming about in the pond with my little fins flapping in the air. I so miss the annual pilgrimage to London to see Cardiacs, get well soon Tim, with all the love in my heart, my hero xxx
This was the wonderful Astoria show 16/11/07, the last ever London date if not the very last (Leeds?). Lots of us were crying tears of joy at the end, including, or so it seemed, Tim. His parting words: "Smashing. Thankyou." No. Thank YOU, Tim! For everything. x
4'40 - 5'04. Watch the crowd turn into blissful underwater plants, swaying in the currents. I have tears in my eyes watching this and remembering the euphoric masses in our little pond. This wasn't the last gig (there were 6 more shows on the tour, ending at Leeds), but this is probably the best documented gig on the tour until Adrian Bell's book comes out in Summer 2011. GET WELL TIM!
@@shrn680 haha that post is 9 years old and the book was released and is now long out of print, but it is called "Aylesbury Bolton Wolverhampton Hove: A Little Man and 101 Cardiacs Gigs"
@MrOBVIOUSART yes it was definitely the Astoria's and the last song. Couldn't believe that they pulled this off. Awesome. (i think I see me!) Couldn't care less about the distortion heliczer, it's an incredible reminder of a very happy day!

You can feel the love the fans have for this wonderful band. And rightly so. I feel privileged to have seen them play live, if only once.

Joy, joy, joy.
Love you, Tim.
Love you, Cardiacs.
Love you, big mangled citrus dogear luminous world on a preening post.
As an American, it looks like this is the only chance I ever had to see them live. Or will have, dammit.
Cardiacs' last gig was at The Woodhouse Liberal Club, Leeds, 24th Nov 2007. This looks like the last Astoria gig to me. Still great though!
I was at the Leeds woodhouse show and only just found out last night that it was their last one 😢
Gawd bless them. Make way for the big ship.........here she comes
I was there, up top and seven months pregnant
Is this Manchester? Surely some tech wizz could match up these excellent visuals with the pretty good bootleg recording?
have you got a link to that gig? I could do that
I always end up in a mess after watching this. THE most psychedelic band ever.
Oh buggery buggery bollocks how I miss the pond
defy belief
