Possibly the most beautiful cardiacs song ever written. When I die and if there's a tunnel and all that jazz I hope this is playing so at least I can have my mind on more exquisite things.
can't put into words how desperately i wish there existed a live recording of this song with comparable audio quality to mares nest, or one of the other live albums. still glad to have this, at least.
The loud bit with all the lights (ie the coolest bit of icing on this the finest of cakes) used to scare my friend. Literally she used to be terrified of it. She didn’t see the lights because it was only audio. Thank you.
I think it's because the Alphabet Business Concern will not allow them to have one. The same goes for a saxophonist, I believe. Best not to ask too many questions, people have a tendency to disappear in the dead of night.
This song and performance is beyond beautiful! No words can describe how euphoric and simply magnificent it sounds. I can't even imagine what it was like to hear it live!
So perfect
A perfect song from a perfect band ..RIP Tim Smith

Amen to that.
I was there, blubbing wet tears on my stupid face.
I really don't know how the original band came up with the more rhythmic sections...the drumming is superb!
You wish the song never ended. Just a lifetime loop of one of best musical moments in history
So true!
Yes, they are. Ever since William Blake left, they've never replaced him and play his parts as from tape. A skill, given the complexity of it all.
Amusing mistype
GORGEOUS.

Some of those hands are mine! Awesome gig, amazing song, incredible band.
that glitch at 3:24 strangely adds to the song!
So much love for this gig, this track and Tim. Just the best gig ever with the best piece of music ever written.
