Good video. I would say that Fellowsfilm Forums is the best place to go for UK-based projects, WIP and released. That's purely because it is pretty much dedicated to British projects and is home of the UKDT and BoTW and Coterell. The developer of London is also a member of staff there. :)
+Tom Howard Thank you! I decided to recommend the Aussiex website at the time due to reliability problems with Fellowsfilm Forums. Hopefully they get the issues ironed out soon.
Yeah, they should be all sorted now. Aussiex seems to be having more issues unfortunately at the moment, Fellowsfilm have not had any issues in the past few weeks ever since they moved servers.
Where can you get access to South London for 3 pounds? I'm excited for the London add-on, but given how many delays...If it's possible to get into the initial project map, I'd love to be able to give it a go.
Great breakdown, had watched this before - this simulator is really lacking in terms of maps, buses are in abundance due to working off a real image but with a map. Gradients, detail of dropped kerbs (especially these) too much announcement of projects that aren't even playable to the developer yet (A real issue with OMSI, too many GCSE kids making stuff that isn't even started) The UK guys are really lacking and a lot of them aren't even out of nappies yet, and can't formulate a team properly and fall out and then the work stays WIP or gets cancelled completely Look at the London addon for OMSI 2, in development divorce for so long due to numerous idiots on Rhys' team who haven't offered anything to the project.
Thanks for the upload. Am brand new to bus simulators and made the mistake of playing Fernbus before OMSI 2, i must say Fernbus seems much more polished, makes OMSI seem like a shoddy rushed pre-alpha early access game. If only we had OMSI's gameplay with Fernbus' polish, that would be an amazing experience. Have heard a map called Bowdenham mentioned in some streams, do you have any experience with that ?
+Kev Rees Hi kev. Surprisingly or not I don't own Fernbus. From what I've seen its features are a bit thin on the ground. Once you get past OMSI's quirks it's amazing how much fun it is. Being able to add content to OMSI is no doubt it's best feature. Bowdenham is a decent map, if resource intensive. The previous versions are easier on your PC. I'd recommend Lemmental V3 and Winsenburg 2015.I've done a few videos on the respective maps so feel free to take a look. Have fun and don't get too addicted!
Thanks for the reply. You are so right about the quirks, i am trying to work through them because beneath is all there is an awesome sim. I did download and install the BOTW, works fine and runs well, i just can't get the route set up and passengers to board my bus, lol. Half tempted to buy the Chicago DLC as can get the stock routes to work fine, just want to have some english language announcements. Have had a look through your channel, plenty there to keep me busy, lol. Subscribed as well :)
+Kev Rees Thanks Kev. Make sure you copy the .hof (depot) file for the map to the bus you are driving. Also try using the OMSI menu to set the destination display if it isn't working. If you want English announcements on other maps I'm sure you can swap the with the defaults although I'm not quite sure how. Enjoy!
Sadly UK omsi maps are all in WIP, with bickering teams who don’t finish anything. The only maps we have that are varied are Yorkshire and Scunthorpe, none of them are based where there’s a comprehensive bus network even fictional maps, we have more German maps that offer much more routing. The hated Gladbeck has been constantly updated with road closures etc, but the UK side is severely lacking.
I have cotterell downloaded, and when I’ve played it for about 5 minuets, the bus starts bouncing up and down uncontrollably. Here is what I have tried. I’ve tried to reinstall the map, I’ve tried to restart steam, I’ve tried to restart my PC and I’ve tried to turn my graphic settings all the way down. If anybody can help me, PLEASE do it!
I think your PC just *cannot handle the map* so therefore the bus bounces up and down. Restarting Steam and reinstalling the map usually doesn't help, but turning the graphics down does, sadly that did not work for you either.
Yeah, looks like the map has been updated, but not on the official forum. Here is a new link: forums.fellowsfilm.co.uk/topic/buses-of-the-westcountry-botw-1-v2-7-1.599
It is part of China, but it has se sort of autonomy which lets this territory act like a country, it has it's own license plates, currency, institutions and so on. This until 2049, when it will not be autonomous anymore.
And now, we have AddOn London, Westcountry3, Gainsborough Phase II and many more. This is such a nostalgic video
I just enjoyed watching this for the cinematics.
QUANTUM same here
People drive on the right side in China I think he meant Japan.
Specifically, Hong Kong drives on the left; mainland China drives on the right!

+Tom Howard Noticed that as well. Hopefully won't last too long.
India also use RHD
Idk how to add right hand drive I all times add was empty map only blue sky...

It's not available anymore, at least to my knowledge. We'll just have to wait!
Can you update the links for the WIP forums
Honk Kong and Japan drive on the left. Not China
TheMarineGamer IGGHQ Hong Kong is China, he didn’t specify it as “Hong Kong, China”.
who was making the plaxton president.
+Robert Hudson the developer was called Daniel, bit he gave up on the project. It has now been taken over by the South England Deign Team.
Signal Box is it still being developed?
There is a new W.I.P. progress topic that can be found here: fellowsfilm.co.uk/threads/dennis-trident-plaxton-president.3195/page-5

Singapore also uses RHD.
Im used to driving on the left. Since i bought OMSI solely to run UK maps. The german maps have been bearly untouched.
What about Keedlestone?
Really nice video, cheers
Thanks!

There are many more countries that drive on the left :P
There are more LHD like Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia
China drives on the right side of the road.
Sorry, meant to say Japan!
Except for in HK ;)
+iomex Simstuff Now I know :)
theres also a TON of Hong Kong & Chinese Based maps avalible...
+wclifton968 Indeed, but this video is focused on the British OMSI scene, although perhaps that is not made clear enough.
oh ok
What happened to aussiex.org
0:34 you forgot 2 more..

SwordSweeper127 My PC is VERY good. It has a HUGE graphic card, so I’m pretty sure my PC can handle the map.
Maybe RAM problem? Is there enough RAM? Try to close other apps while playing might help, i think...
SwordSweeper127 It has more than enough RAM. 16 GB to be exact.
Wow, you have more RAM than me... I only have 8GB bus all maps have no problem!
Well, I don't what to suggest now... good luck!
just to let you know that BoTW2 and Cotterell links don't work.
Thank you, I've updated the Cotterell link but BoTW2 seems to be working anyway.
www.fellowsfilm.com

hong Kong is not china
Hong Kong you mean Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China
It is china
