    Managed to fix and put back my damaged cable in less than 30 minutes. This video helps a lot. The REAL trick is to remember how the cable needs to go via the tension relief lug, this is not done/shown in the video!! I managed to thread my cable incorrectly but even with this mistake and putting the switch back-to-front. It still took less that 30 minutes to complete the refit. So now my 10 year old flymo lawnmower is fully functional and ready for a few more years of service! Saved a few quid too as I was able to repurpose my old cable.
    You do need a Torx screwdriver but they are pretty common and easy to source.

    Ok, by the time I've done all that, bought all that I would need to repair it, it would be cheaper to buy a new lightweight Flymo.
