- The Green party has pledged to raise taxes on the UK's top earners.
They want to raise National Insurance to 8% on wages above £50,270.
It means if you were earning £55,000 you would pay an extra £283 a year in tax.
They want to use this money to transform housing, transport and the green economy and say that the plans would generate £70bn a year to mend 'broken Britain.'

Its time some of these shows looked into Malone's past she's very judgemental and she's not as innocent as she would like us to think , she's a lot to answer for , she truly is an horrendous creature .🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

£50k is far to low. Probably threshold of £100k would seem more reasonable. This would need revising on an annual basis

The tax rate for the majority of workers should be raised. From £20,000 to £40,0000 should pay 10% tax £41,000 to £80,000 should pay 20% £81,000 £160,000 should pay 30% tax £161,000 and above 40%
£50k isn’t wealthy. £120k is where it should begin and taper higher by 2% every £10k about. The challenge is until the taxation for the multimillionaire & billionaires is globally agreed they will just move their wealth elsewhere.
You can tax British citizens abroad if you wanted too. The US has been doing that for decades. I would be even easier for Britain, because Britain is the biggest taxhaven in the world. Britain has access to all the bank accounts.
the thing about those on great money is they are paying some of the highest tax in the world why wouldn't they just leave. they can afford to.

We do have a wealth tax already, capital gains tax, but it's implemented at a much lower rate than income tax. It's not difficult to collect but if equalised to income tax bands would make a sizable dent in tax revenue. Of course, Malone is lying about the Greens as they're proposing to tax the wealthiest i.e. those with over 10 million and biliioaires not the poorest in society.

No. Reduce tax. Anybody paying close to 50% is shocking.
Storm always trips up on her words, struggles with pronouncing words here and there, and also messes up with the autocue. Tangled in explaining/presenting things every show. It's surprising how she hasn't been replaced! As nice as she can be, it's so unprofessional... Matt Allwright is ideal.
