@@mommybear2 Simone is strong, technical, with spectacular jumps, but not beautiful jumps. The position of the body in flight was not perfect, elegant. I see here, at these landings, the order: Rebeca Andrade , Zhou , Simone Bails - in the order in which I liked them more.

I do too. They make the legs look so long and lean! And so elegant on the bars and beam. They just look so good as long as the leg color remains the same as the body of the leo and has just accent color in the design.
It was a form of protest by Germany for female gymnasts to be allowed shorts.

I can see why Simone placed first even as a casual gymnastics fan. Her dismount was so much more complicated. Heck her whole execution is peppered wt difficult stuns and executed so effortlessly. A once in a lifetime talent for sure.

Hated seeing Shilese fall. Her disappointment is clear in slow motion. She’s incredibly beautiful on the beam.
That first uniform is the bomb.
No cheeks hanging out, no fear of things shifting when they are upside down and doing the splits...
I feel that the legless uniforms could sometimes be appropriate in inappropriate venues.

I love the leotards from a performer and fan point of view. We do get wedgies but we just pick them. They look so much nicer too

It must be terrible to be an amazingly talented gymnast in this current era. Those are all wonderful, and then comes along the goat with springs for legs instead of bones. So looking forward to seeing her perform in Paris. 🎉
All of these girls and women trained so hard for so many years, even the ones that didn’t even show up on the list and tbe ones near the bottom of the list. They all put their blood, sweat and tears into learning their craft and becoming masters of it. Truly amazing and such an inspiration. Most of us in the comments will never even work as hard in our lives on anything as even number 8 or number 20 on the list of gymnasts at the Olympics. Incredible humans, all of them, not just the GOAT.

Thank you my 81 yr old Mom makes these and she was the first to sew the GK Elite Sportswear Leotards 42 yrs ago. She still sews them at 32 hrs. A week.
