Got mine (lightly-used, same tank colour with mini-apes and a tidied-up rear end). Totally happy with it. The handling is way sportier than the bike looks, and the torque makes it an absolute weapon for overtaking. Very light feeling and nimble for the weight. Might not have the top-end performance of other bikes, but on real roads that kind of power is kind of wasted. Not a track bike, not for off-roading, not even for real touring, but for anything up to 100 miles each way with fish & chips and a refuel at the turn-around, it's hard to beat.
Picking up mine this week. Already have a 2012 M109R & a 2021 Rocket 3GT in my garage but, I just had to get the Bobber. It is the most proper bobber I have ever seen.
Captain- You know I've been a M/Cist for more than 50yrs. Love "the look " of the Bobber, but- ...I MUST HAVE SADDLEBAGS & a "rear FLATBED" to carry STUFF. IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFUL, you're going to get THE SOUND of that 270° CRANK growing on me. My ancestors were from Wales. Lady Di, was my 33rd cousin. My name, is the same as her Father's. I LIKE Black rims w/stainless spokes. "Red" sent me B/D greetings from Munchen. She & PhilT know I was in Kaiserslautern, before any of the 3 of you WERE BORN. I always say, "eat a bratwurst for me." She said, "I'll eat 65 bratwursts for You." Made my day.
Today almost concluded with the purchase of my fifth Harley, but thanks in no small part to you and your videos I decided it was time for a change ...so in the garage now sits and 2017 Competition Green Bonneville Bobber with exactly three miles on it (I trailered it home). Hope ole McQueen is smiling down upon me! Thanks Captain, a Whiskey and your videos make for a good evening! Cheers mate!
How did you trailer your bike? Because I am getting a Bobber Black, next week, and would like to trailer it back home... Do you have a picture of your trailer/system?
I found some aluminum polish (aluminum, stainless steel, brass and chrome). Diamond Brite truck box polish. I'm in the States but you can probably find something similar in the UK. it polished out the stains or corrosion spots on my bobber covers from the salt. I had to do it a couple times to get them all out, but I am very happy with the results. I loved this review of the bobber and I am happy with my choice. Cheers!
Got my bobber second hand....cracking bike plenty of power....mind Green and Silver .....Brown seat Vance and Hines pipes and Short rear Mud Guard with Indecators Brake Lights Side Lights All in one.....And a Great Sound....👍🇬🇧🤓
Great review, thank you so much for sharing! Sat on one yesterday for the first time ...AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! My current bike is a 2015 BMW R1200GSA, and at 5`7" it can be a handful! Obviously for someone my size the Bobber is a breath of fresh air, it`s a small thing to be sure ...but standing flat footed while stationary inspires confidence! Would imagine this would be a great bike for a lot of women as well as beginners. Thanks again Captain, and please keep the videos coming!
You're welcome Jake! Glad you lied the review and agreed with my assessment.. :-) Yes, very easy to ride for everyone really. Amazed that it is good for tall as well as short.. That's rare... Thanks for watching! :-)
Enjoyable review that covered about everything a person could ask for. Captain Rambunctious and the Missenden Flyer are my two favorites. Loads of fun ! Heading to a Triumph dealer today, I've made up my mind, (thank you). It's the Bobber for me ! TBH 🙌 ✌
You are almost at Bletchley Park on this ride ! .. I am in New England and remember fondly riding in England in the early 1970-'s .I stopped action and saw the sign for the A5 ahead and turning to Ayelsbury . It looks like great roads for riding though I remember how cold the wet air can be (Glamorganshire in January on a 67 Bonny ).Thanks for sharing your ride ..
I normally add conversions but I forgot to work that one out! Thanks for sharing! :-) And for watching... I have plenty of vids of the countryside around here for you to watch! Enjoy and thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment... :-)
Ah ha! Another person who loves the look! It really does seem to split opinion but ultimately, it turns heads regardless and handles brilliantly! :-) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment... :-)
What a beautiful bike! I still can't decide between the Bobber Black, the T120 and the Speedmaster. I'm leaning heavily towards the T120 because it reminds me so much of the bikes I grew up on in the 70's. But then the Thruxton-R with its bad-ass cafe racer looks intrigues me too. Hmm, tough choice. Hoping to make up my mind after a test ride or two. I do love the pipes on this much better than the pea shooters on some of the other Bonnies.
They ARE very nice pipes... The Speedmaster is probably my favourite once my knees get tired of the Thruxton position. It isn't extreme but I have a bad knee so one day I'll have to change to a position with more legroom... The bobber is the most fun but least practical. If you want to take luggage, then the bobber has a small space for a little pannier and you can always wear a backpack, but no where for a pillion if you want... So the Speedmaster with straighter bars would be the winner for me! So much fun... Watch my video of Motorbike 3 way where we ride the Tiger 800, bobber black and speedmaster and we come up with quite a lot of conclusions that might help your decisions... Thanks for watching and for the comment! TBH!
Thanks for the review, entertaining as always. I like the green and silver myself. I would like one of these in the shed with the Thunderbird and a Thruxton R thrown in
That would be an excellent stable. Might I suggest the new Speedmaster 1200 instead of the TBird? But then you would have 3 of the same engine... Hmm... Maybe a Rocket III? ;-)
Splendid review and super steady clear images in the walk around, thank you. Makes me want one far more than I first thought. Maybe... just not that tank colour, tank being the word, now the army cannot afford new ones they don't need green paint, slap it on a few trumpets!
Yes indeed! Gunmetal grey works well for the Navy though, maybe they could fund them... :-) Thanks for watching and for the compliments... I do try... TBH!
Really looking forward to your forthcoming (😉) review of the 2018 Speedmaster! On paper it aims to be the attached practical persons Bobber, looks gorgeous, first ever cruiser to really grab my attention. T-B-H!
Captain Rambunctious I gulped a bit when my local Triumph dealer told me that the likely price was £13k plus and orders taken at the end of November were already looking at late August 2018 delivery! Creating demand? We will see!
My local dealer didn't let me test ride one cause i told him i wasn't buying one that day. Since then i test rode an Indian Scout and that was a blast. I ended up buying 1983 Yamaha xs650 that i will make into an awesome "triumph" twin
Lovely Ride and Review Old Chap! the more I see the Bobber the more I like it, I still think it's the sort of thing that should be built in a shed, lol, but I also see that it's perfect for those that want a bobber that's reliable, not homemade, and they either can't do it themselves or don't have the space too, keep up the good work buddy and RS.
Nice review. Sounds like it's made for a little taller people. I got a chance to sit on one and thought the bars were an inch or two too far forward. Bar risers would fix it. Was really surprised how low it was. That low center of gravity is probably why it's so nimble. On tighter roads, those low pegs will probably get decked a lot. No big deal really. Can be fun to throw sparks.
Yes, sparks will fly, but if you lean over, the bike barely needs to! A great fun bike... It's just down to the looks as to whether you buy one really... Thanks for watching! :-)
Been waiting for this... thanks for the review Captain! I've narrowed my choice down to the Thruxton R or the Bobber and need to get a little ride time in before making a final decision on what my next bike will be.
Would love Triumph to make a retro with a triple engine. I know they did the Thunderbird 900 in the nineties but I think something like a Hurricane 900 or similar would go down a treat.
Bobber is an American term derived from the ladies "bobbed" hair style which was a term applied to the chopped rear fender. The stripped down "bobber" bike was the garage mechanic's personal build.
Rode this and quite liked it, very grin inducing though I too thought the brakes were pretty bad. My only issue is that the T120 seems to be even more bike for less money, bigger tank, dual guages, twin discs up front and it has that engine too, plus as a six footer I don't look like an ape on a circus bike.
You're right about getting more bike with the T120 but it just wasn't as much fun! I'm 6'1 and don't think I looked too bad at all. Obviously if you get the ape hangers, then you deserve to look like that! ;-) I think that if you have no reason to carry much luggage or have a pillion, then get the Bobber as it is more fun to ride, tuned differently, and will get people talking more, for good or bad! Enjoy whatever decision you make and thank you for watching! :-)
As you know Captain i am a brit bike lover, but i cannot take to this bike. They will sell by the boat load thats for sure. But for me i prefer *whispered tone, the h/d street bob :-( (With or without hazard lights) But thanks again for a great vlog, you always cheer me up.
No worries Si! This was always going to split opinion, and even if I loved this bike (which I'm still quite indifferent about from a looks point of view) I wouldn't be upset if others hated it. It's all about how a bike makes YOU feel as an individual! Harleys ARE good for some people... I had a HOOT on the softtail slim, just wasn't for me for everyday riding, but it isn't built for that. It's just that this bike has the looks for some people but is much easier to live with... Thanks for watching! :-)
Looks good. I thought I saw in another video someone adjusting the seat on the fly, but maybe that was on a prototype. Probably would have been better served to have it slightly more back, although I cannot say. Maybe someday someone will make a two up single seat like in the old days, with some high mount pegs. That'd be a hoot. All tolled, I think it will be a good seller. Kind of a love it or hate it thing, but either way, it's all good.
That would be cool... That's what it's all about though, making it yourself after Triumph provide you with a Bobber platform... It's already pretty much sold all of this year's quota already! No way of adjusting this on the fly, although you can adjust the angle of the clock whilst moving as long as you haven't tightened it too much... Thanks for watchign and for taking the time to comment! TBH!
Nice video as ever sire! Looking forward to having a go on one of these myself. Shocked to hear about your engine cover corrosion issue - how can that not be covered by the warranty?? Wonder if the shiny chrome finish on my beloved T100 is prone to the same issue.....you need to get out with the ACF50 matey and pronto!!
TheMissendenFlyer Triumph say that the dealers are meant to tell all customers that they are bare brushed aluminium and need protecting. Most dealers don't know this... poor communication! I assumed the only bare aluminium on my thrusty was the lovely one piece aluminium head stock, but all the brushed bits including the sprocket cover and faux air intake covers are as well... Your chrome ones will be susceptible too but not as much as the brushed I've been told. Yes, ACF50 as soon as they are sorted... Thanks for watching! I look forward to your thoughts!
I think it's pants! Surely Triumph could have lacquered them or something (...and just to be clear, I had to give the T100 back, I don't actually own "my beloved T100" - its more a statement of affection for the class...loved that bike).....
Yes, and their attitude is to say that they've never been covered before so it's my problem... It's the one criticism I have of Triumph, their warranty side. Saying that, they were excellent when replacing my condensing clocks...
Awesome! Thank you. I got a speedmaster myself, basically a practical bobber but got the bobber straight bars!! Thanks for watching and enjoy when you get it!
Evening Captain. super review looks fun, to ride. so when are Triumph going to make a 1920's style bike with current engine with bobber style seat & little square pad seat for the pinion? after all the right style battery box, fake carbs clever rear suspension has now been done
Great review, Oh Rambunctious one! If 'herself' passes her test and ergo no longer requires an occasional perch behind my rump, I'm tempted to get one of these when I eventually tire of my T120 - no time soon then :) Re: 'the debate'... Being an old fart, I do recall that there were similar angsty howls from those who thought Kawasaki were wrong to make the Z750 LTD. Hey, it's called progress. ;-)
Ha ha! You never know, she may surprise you! :-) Yes, it IS called progress, but a lot of the sports bike brigade are concerned about the hipster direction... I think that it's more to do with really enjoying the looks and feeling a bike gives you, not just speed anymore...
Nice enough. Kinda curious about the single disk front brake, being a 1200. But i guess being a single rider bike, T figured a single disk is fine. Is the rotor larger diameter? Seat looks a bit restrictive for butt movement . I like the bar end mirrors, i bought a pair for my 2005 t, but they are so tiny, not sure they'd show much view. To bad they didn't make the baffles in the pipes removable. Course maybe that'd be too loud. I've got outbound slip ons on my bonneville T 100, and they do sound out. That seat looks just too small for that style. Maybe not though. Another thing,,,no knee pads on the tank. To me,,a Triumph just isn't,, without the pads. Looks nice though. Thanks Capt. Nice advertising 😁. I'd be curious how many sales are racked up just due to your s and your brother s in the reviewing world. You definitely sell the thrill. Ride safe,
I'm torn between Bonnie Bobber, the Thunderbird Storm or Rocket...decision decisions...if you had to pick one as a "near daily driver" which would be your choice?...as usual too, you do a really great job on these reviews! Be well.
Excellent review as always Captain! Will get my test ride booked asap. It would make a great 3rd bike for me hahaha Really looking forward to the new Scrambler video, whenever that may be :) Tally Bobby Ho!
did wonder about the laquered ally covers. my Speedmaster forks and heayoke tarnished like your thruxton covers. spent two hours with wirewool and Solvol Autosol and problem solved, needs a quick buff every few months. 9ltr tank!!? jeez thought mine at 16ltr was a joke. Cheers
Oh it's fine. It will still do 150 miles on a tank. Excellent fuel consumption, unless you are hooning it around. Then expect about 110 miles I would say... Similar to my old tuned 865 Thrusty... Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! :-)
cant agree it will do 150 miles on 9 ltrs unless its been driven like a moped, anyway thanks for replying. after watching this I steamed down to the dealers. thought it looked cheap and felt it was an opportunistic marketing gimmick . I think I'll stick with the Speedmaster even though it uses 11 litres to do 150 miles on its 865cc engine.
Yes, I rode the Speedmaster the other month and loved it! This bike does split opinion very well! Maybe that's what Triumph were going for all along with all the hype! Thanks for the comments and for watching! :-)
Went to the launch last night of this and the new scrambler, I was quite sceptical about it but the bike looks amazing in person I really wanna ride one now!
The Scrambler was what I was more interested in to be honest, it looks and felt really good cant wait to try that out! I have a feeling that I'll probably end up buying one.
Went to see it today. Was gonna book a test ride . But because of seating position didn't bother ( long story but my left leg has only 90deg movement. So needed to be a bit higher and further back (further back position is lower ! ) I ll stick wi my bonny Great review though !!
Not the bike for me but it seems to go well. More than enough for the ride to a trendy coffee n muffin shop. Now I will enter into the argument "it aint a bobber because it was not built by a oily herbert in a shed" the same can be said for cafe racers, race replica's, streefighters, choppers and lowriders. Some people don't want a old clunker re-built, they want new, with a warranty, spares and repairs back up etc.
Very true Russ, and that is also my side of the argument (owning a cafe racer replica myself of course!)... Thanks for watching! We will have to see what the majority of comments are like! So far only a few dislikes for the video. I am never sure if they aimed at me or the bike in question!
Well if you aren't averse to PCP deals then you could always use the Sprint as your deposit... (Devil on your shoulder)... Thanks for watching and for the comment! :-)
Brilliant review as always and I would love to own a Bobber (green & silver). Just one thing, after Woburn's back passage, you referred to "mustard Mitt".....new colour gloves to match the thrusty?
Regin Lamson ah, that’s the old raven jacket that started off a distressed black and ended up a browny grey. They do new one called the Raven 2 which should tarnish the same... from any of the Triumph dealers... Thanks for watching! Tally Bally Ho’
'Sure is a prurdy bike'😊 great review, MCN and the others need to give up as you do it far better. When I sat on one at the show, I'd wished they had gone for full feet forward rather than the 50/50 they went for.
Absolutely. As I mentioned elsewhere, my arthritic hips and knees mean I need a taller seat to stretch my legs to the peddles, but having demo'd the T120 down that road from the good folk at Pure Triumph in Woburn I can understand how hard it is to resist. The engine is superb.
Yes, I sat on the Scrambler at the launch, and since, and just love it, but no demo bikes atm. Anyway, I've decided to keep the Street Twin and scramblerise it - bench seat, high V&H pipes, after market tail tidy etc. So seat somewhere between stock ST and Street Scrambler. Let's be honest, the 900 engine is a peach too and more than capable on our twisties. Come on sun. Time to get off my Tiger :)
Where do you keep that "Selfie-Stick," when NOT In use? I have a Bose 3 Way bluetoothed to my phone. Remember to pay attention to Mt Rushmore, 7/4/20. John Spencer Long Beach, Ca. U.S.A.
I can see why, after all I used to own one. Amazing machine, but I prefer the slim tank so that my legs aren't stretched outwards so much. The wind resistance at speed used to give me groin strain! Thanks for watching! :-)
I love the Triumph Bobber but damn, it is geared too high. Shifting to 5th gear (@4500 RPM) is 154 km/h. Shifting to 6th gear (@4500 RPM) is 171 km/h. Except for the track, where can you ride that fast?
I take your point, but also, I find I’m changing too much anyway… and first has acceleration in under 5 seconds anyway… so any shorter hearing and you’d be changing too much!! I have to admit to going in to triple figures of mph quite often on my Speedmaster so the gearing is fine for me…
Better than the Speedmaster but of course the speed master would be more practical due to the pillion seat and possible panniers... It all depends what you would be using it for. As a weekend ride to the pub or cafe, perfect... Commuting or touring, not so much.. ;-)
Fair points... The light IS very good though... Especially if you put a better bulb in too... Anyway, yes, a larger tank would be good, but it should still do at least the same as my old Thruxton did before the light came on (104miles or so)... I had tuned it rather...
You seemed to really enjoy this bike, which reminded me of the fun you had while reviewing the Thruxton. So, which would you recommend for an easy to achieve thrill?
"I'll be taking you up Woburn Abbey". Is that a uphemism? Expensive for what seems a simple bike, although seems well executed. Makes Thrux R look cheap. I know which I'd have. Interesting point about the corroding covers, thought that would be the case, couldn't live with that I'm afraid.
Brendan McCabe yes, they are meant to tell customers at the point of sale that they are BARE brushed aluminium and therefore need protection before salt. The irony being that I have ACF50, I just assumed they were protected at least a bit!! If cared for, not an issue in the slightest... Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!
Got mine (lightly-used, same tank colour with mini-apes and a tidied-up rear end). Totally happy with it. The handling is way sportier than the bike looks, and the torque makes it an absolute weapon for overtaking. Very light feeling and nimble for the weight. Looks awesome. Looks like Triumph's answer to those who might be considering a sportster.

Picked my black one up last week. Incredibly cool, smooth, comfy bike. Love it. It looks great beside my Tiger 800XCa. Grin...
Superb to hear! Well done Mark! :-)
Only current Triumph bike that really fits me. Can't wait to try one out!
I ordered myself a Triumph Bobber after watching your review. Thanks for sharing Captain!!!
Thank you for your support! I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did! Even more so if you are owning one! :-)
Let me know what you think... :-)
always good to watch your latest video.Made me smile.
Thanks for watchign Darren!
A little late to the party but finally got to watch! It just looks absolutely glorious. I need one...
Ah ha! Another person who loves the look! It really does seem to split opinion but ultimately, it turns heads regardless and handles brilliantly! :-)
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment... :-)
Well I for one love the look of it! Wish I could ride one.
Keep watching, my garage may soon look like a Triumph shop!
It already does doesn't it?! ;-)
Thanks for watching sir! :-)
Just, keep watching, that's all I'm gonna say at this time......
watched last night and went and bought mine today. great review.
Thanks Jay! Have you got it yet? Everything you thought? Was my review an accurate assessment for you?
Thanks for watching.

Wow, I've seen and sat on this thing in person and didn't even notice the exhaust and cat... very well hidden, Triumph!
Same as on all the new classic Triumphs, except the Scrambler, where it is hidden under the leg heat shields... Very neat...
Thanks for the review, entertaining as always. I like the green and silver myself. I would like one of these in the shed with the Thunderbird and a Thruxton R thrown in

Thank you Kevin. Yes, not long... Just need to edit... :-)
Thanks you for watching... :-)
Best review of this sweet bike, Thanks Captain

Very nice and funny review. Congratz. This bike is cool
Thanks Gabriel, and thank you for watching!
This guys voice is beyond fantastic
Why thank you! ;-)
My wife says 'try living with it'.. :-)
I love your videos captain. You're a ton of fun ! And, you offer a lot of very good info. Thank you !
Been waiting for this... thanks for the review Captain! I've narrowed my choice down to the Thruxton R or the Bobber and need to get a little ride time in before making a final decision on what my next bike will be.
aesonvirus hope you found it helpful... yes, such different bikes you really need to ride both...
Would love Triumph to make a retro with a triple engine. I know they did the Thunderbird 900 in the nineties but I think something like a Hurricane 900 or similar would go down a treat.
It would certainly go well!
If you have the money, go for the Thruxton R. Better performance, better equipment and better looks!
250frederic
The Bobber has a unique look, Thruxton is a beauty as well but very different look..
Most enjoyable review as always. What a bike!
Thank you and thank you for watching! :-) It helps when the bikes are fun to ride! :-)
Fantastic Captain
Thank you! :-)
Thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment! :-)
TBH!
Hey superb reviews and thank you. I pick my dark cherry red one up in a couple of days. Louisville Kentucky
Very good explaining from this guy👍
Thank you Jasper! I try my best! Sometimes a little wrong but I try!
Obviously if you get the ape hangers, then you deserve to look like that! ;-)
I think that if you have no reason to carry much luggage or have a pillion, then get the Bobber as it is more fun to ride, tuned differently, and will get people talking more, for good or bad!
Enjoy whatever decision you make and thank you for watching! :-)
I really enjoyed that review. Thanks Capt!
You're welcome Cazzy. Thank you for watching and for the comment! :-)
TBH!
Thanks for another great review Captain!!!
Nice review Captain. Ordered mine in green and silver with a cheeky wee brown quilted seat. However i get it in June! Hey ho. Thanks for the vid 👌
Ooh! Perfect colour! Nicely done! A black quilted seat would look good on that! Did you order any other accessories at the time of ordering it?
great review captain ...orderd mine amonth ago ...green and silver ..carnt wait ....pick up in april ...happy days. great youtube channel ...
Thank you Ben. Very well done! Beautiful colours... Bravo!
cheers captain ...safe riding mucker
You too chap! Try not to lose your licence! :-)
What a nice film. Thank you! "Two is best...sometimes four is two much"! Ha ha!
Thanks John. Thanks for watching as always! The Scrambler review is next! :-)
Keep the band well paid , enjoy the bike too . Thanks
I'll try! :-) Thanks Shannon. And thank you for watching! :-)
Marlin Jumps l
Test rode one last spring, nice bike but my rear end was sore after 45 minutes.
I love the triumph jacket you ware 👍
trash talking rear axles? thought I was listening to jeremy clarkson for a second!! Hahaha! great vid captain. I want to ride one!
Yes, as I get older, I get more and more a cross between Rik Mayall and Clarkson... Oh dear, God help my wife and family...
TBH!
i ordered mine in December getting it in may but with the high bars , been waiting for your review, brilliant
stash1150acerocker thank you. Glad you found it useful!
They are having issues with the ape bars. Rubber mounting is not good and they will be changing to solid bushings I would assume before any are sold.
Hmmm...
Only just seen this review.. best one on the net... I get my Morello Red Bobber in a week !
Awesome! Thank you.
I got a speedmaster myself, basically a practical bobber but got the bobber straight bars!!
Thanks for watching and enjoy when you get it!
You lucky scoundrel :D
It's such a beatifull bike, but out of my reach for now.
thanks for the great video.
You're welcome! THank you for watching and for taking the time to comment! :-)
Evening Captain. super review looks fun, to ride. so when are Triumph going to make a 1920's style bike with current engine with bobber style seat & little square pad seat for the pinion? after all the right style battery box, fake carbs clever rear suspension has now been done
Thanks Vince... No idea! A 1930s Brough Superior lookalike would be fun! :-)
thank you, thank you for this review been waiting on this also.... you have sold me on this bike ...
Thank you Steven. You are welcome! :-) Thanks for watching!
Great review, Oh Rambunctious one!
If 'herself' passes her test and ergo no longer requires an occasional perch behind my rump, I'm tempted to get one of these when I eventually tire of my T120 - no time soon then :)
Re: 'the debate'... Being an old fart, I do recall that there were similar angsty howls from those who thought Kawasaki were wrong to make the Z750 LTD. Hey, it's called progress. ;-)
Ha ha! You never know, she may surprise you! :-)
Yes, it IS called progress, but a lot of the sports bike brigade are concerned about the hipster direction... I think that it's more to do with really enjoying the looks and feeling a bike gives you, not just speed anymore...
Never, in the field of motorcycle comment, was so much knowed by so many about so few…
Beautifully put...
Ride safe,
Another exemplary review sir!!
THank you very much! And thank you for watching.
This guy sounds like a Dark Souls NPC. Great bike.
That sounds to me like a compliment so thank you! Thank you for watching as well.. .Hope yo enjoyed the video...
Yup... I'm just picturing ripping away from Sen's Fortress on motorcycles. That would be awesome!
I'm torn between Bonnie Bobber, the Thunderbird Storm or Rocket...decision decisions...if you had to pick one as a "near daily driver" which would be your choice?...as usual too, you do a really great job on these reviews! Be well.
Bobber for fun. Storm for flexing and being different. Rocket for sheer lunacy… 😎
Excellent review as always Captain! Will get my test ride booked asap. It would make a great 3rd bike for me hahaha
Really looking forward to the new Scrambler video, whenever that may be :)
Tally Bobby Ho!
Not long sir! Rode it today... You're going to feel sick when you ride the new Scrambler... WOw... ;-)
Thanks for watching chap! See you soon... :-)
did wonder about the laquered ally covers. my Speedmaster forks and heayoke tarnished like your thruxton covers. spent two hours with wirewool and Solvol Autosol and problem solved, needs a quick buff every few months.
And the gloves are awesome 🤩
I do agree! 😂😎
Went to the launch last night of this and the new scrambler, I was quite sceptical about it but the bike looks amazing in person I really wanna ride one now!
Yes, you DO have to see it in the flesh... Personally, I would ride the Scrambler if I were you... I rode it today... Quite a good surprise!
The Scrambler was what I was more interested in to be honest, it looks and felt really good cant wait to try that out! I have a feeling that I'll probably end up buying one.
I would have done if I didn't have my Thruxton R!
haha yeah you got a point there like, but c'mon man you've got a Thruxton R doesn't really get much cooler than that if you ask me.
Not yet of course! :-)
Went to see it today. Was gonna book a test ride . But because of seating position didn't bother ( long story but my left leg has only 90deg movement. So needed to be a bit higher and further back (further back position is lower ! )
I ll stick wi my bonny
Great review though !!
Thank you Andy! And thank you for watching... :-)
Does make a good noise! Great Review!
Thank you Kristofor! Thanks for watching.
picking mine up Saturday, nice review. ps i went for the green and silver
Joe Cantrell excellent choice! Hope the weather is kind to you!!
Oh and what accessories did you order for it or are you waiting until you've got it before you start thinking about that sort of thing?
I want a brown seat and cruise control. Will get when warm enough to ride. Snowing in Iowa so will have bring it home in a trailer.
Definitely! Snow is NOT the condition to ride in!
Nice parts, enjoy! :-)
I have to get this bike!
That's one hell of a split in the rear tyre @ 1:45 and @1:54 ;)
I found that it soon disappeared with spirited riding! ;-) Thanks for watching! :-)
Great review again. Sorry for sounding thick but where is the rev counter? if it's on the digital display, it must be tiny.
Jacko 123 it's in the digital display in the clock. One of the functions.
Finally!!! Would get this but I'm a beginning rider and that's a little to much power for me. I'd like this with some mini ape hangers.
Kaprina Steward nice idea! Oh, you'd soon get used to it... nice and low to the ground so feels light to control...
Captain Rambunctious when I sat on the bike during the Bobber event it felt lighter than the street cup.
Kaprina Steward it's very well balanced... worth a test ride if you feel confident enough...
Captain Rambunctious I just don't know how I feel about the front foot pegs. Lol
Kaprina Steward they aren't forward like a cruiser; more like the bonnie.
F.A.B bike ... I shall be avin one rather shortly in the green and silver thankyou very much.
Awesome choice! Enjoy!
Awesome review, Amazing Bike.
Thanks Rapha Rider. Thanks for watching! :-)
nice review, thanks for sharing boss! :-)
Thank YOU for watching! :-)
Congratulations on the new arrival. Presume the lad already has a name.....Edmund perhaps? or would that have been tempting fate?
I wanted Rik to be honest! Nearly won! :-)
And thank you!
Gorgeous!
Why thank you. What about the bike?! ;-)
Thank you for watching.
TBH!
LOL! For sure one of the most beautiful Triumphs till now.
:-)
I'll have to live with 01 Sprint ST the rest of my life, but that ok. If I could I would be looking hard at this or. Bonneville.
Well if you aren't averse to PCP deals then you could always use the Sprint as your deposit... (Devil on your shoulder)...
Thanks for watching and for the comment! :-)
HAZZARRR!!! Love it.
2mins 20secs, reminds me of the one about the quadriplegic chap who swam the channel...
Good old Bob!
Bob bob bob... ;-)
Tally ho. Great video as always. I collect mine Sat 11th.
Thank you Mark! Enjoy it! what colour and accessories did you go for?
Deep red with heated grips and one of the large black panniers. I may try and take on a longer trip but will see how practical that will be.
Lovely. THat red is amazing. Looks black then all of a sudden, it's a lovely blood red...
I'm a great fan of Triumph - I own a T120. Just not sure about this one? If you know what I mean?
I know exactly what you mean. It's a very good bike if this is what you are after... otherwise there are other Triumphs that are better.
Great bike, good review
Thank you and thank you for watching! :-)
Brilliant review as always and I would love to own a Bobber (green & silver). Just one thing, after Woburn's back passage, you referred to "mustard Mitt".....new colour gloves to match the thrusty?
Steven Hill exactly! Spot on! Furygan ones... 😉
Steven Hill exactly! Spot on! Furygan ones... 😉
G'day mate, just wanna ask where you bought your Triumph Leather Jacket that you're wearing.Thank you
Regin Lamson ah, that’s the old raven jacket that started off a distressed black and ended up a browny grey. They do new one called the Raven 2 which should tarnish the same... from any of the Triumph dealers...
Thanks for watching! Tally Bally Ho’
Top job Captain
It's for me, great review.
You just cost me 9 bloody K
Ride safe ✊🏾😬👊🏾
Wayne Mitchelson whoops. Sorry!! Well if you will watch my videos!! 😉
'Sure is a prurdy bike'😊 great review, MCN and the others need to give up as you do it far better. When I sat on one at the show, I'd wished they had gone for full feet forward rather than the 50/50 they went for.
Very true good lady but you're tall like me! :-)
Diminutive persons would think otherwise... Poor Phil480... ;-)
😂😂😂poor Phil😳
Blimey that' bike sounds great
It does indeed!
Blimey Cap'n, 70mph through Woburn Deer Park, tut, tut, you hooligan.
Well, it's what this bike does to one!
Absolutely. As I mentioned elsewhere, my arthritic hips and knees mean I need a taller seat to stretch my legs to the peddles, but having demo'd the T120 down that road from the good folk at Pure Triumph in Woburn I can understand how hard it is to resist. The engine is superb.
Yes, it just wants to go! :-) See what you think of the Scrambler. It has an even better riding position in my book...
Time to get off my Tiger :)
yay bobber review! ... kind of over it now though :P scrambler ftw :D
Scrambler will be soon... Have watched the BikeWorld review by John Hogan, looks very exciting. I'll have to take it off-road!!
I saw the 2017 scrambler pics looks like its more set up for road. It would be interesting to see what you think comparing it to the old one :)
Watch the Bike World review with John Hogan and you will see that it is more than capable off road...
Sat on it yesterday at the party. Tried to steal it.
Where do you keep that "Selfie-Stick," when NOT In use?
I have a Bose 3 Way bluetoothed to my phone. Remember to pay attention to Mt Rushmore, 7/4/20.

Love it but it's a Thunderbird Storm for me
I can see why, after all I used to own one. Amazing machine, but I prefer the slim tank so that my legs aren't stretched outwards so much. The wind resistance at speed used to give me groin strain!
Thanks for watching! :-)
...love this sound...
And this is with STOCK pipes!! Imagine with the V&H pipes with removable baffles... Obnoxious wouldn't cover it!
I have to admit to going in to triple figures of mph quite often on my Speedmaster so the gearing is fine for me…
Nice man! and compared to the speedmaster? if only i hadnt just purchased a street triple to go with my speedmaster. maybe this'll be my next bike!
Better than the Speedmaster but of course the speed master would be more practical due to the pillion seat and possible panniers... It all depends what you would be using it for. As a weekend ride to the pub or cafe, perfect... Commuting or touring, not so much.. ;-)
Even with a little country riding I would like a larger tank and bigger head light for night riding .. :) ..
Fair points... The light IS very good though... Especially if you put a better bulb in too... Anyway, yes, a larger tank would be good, but it should still do at least the same as my old Thruxton did before the light came on (104miles or so)... I had tuned it rather...
I does have a tachometer...it's a digital one. Cycle through the info modes to find it.
Yes thank you. I mention it in the review. I meant a separate tach dial. i mention rev counter later on in the vid but thank you for watching!
You seemed to really enjoy this bike, which reminded me of the fun you had while reviewing the Thruxton. So, which would you recommend for an easy to achieve thrill?
The scrambler to be honest for the cheapest and easiest and most fun thrill... But the Thruxton is definitely my favourite... :-)
I’m buying one in Morello Red on Saturday.
Flat4Power4Life lovely! I hope for good weather!
