Went to my Triumph dealer and they fired this bobber trim up and the exhaust truly sounds great-lots of pop, gurgle, throaty tones. It's just loud enough, but not obnoxious or weak on either end. A far superior moto than a Indian Scout hands down.
Thanks heaps for this recent video. Seems like the reviews on these bobbers went quiet. I'm watching from new Zealand but moving to the UK next year. Can't wait to ride of some of these roads !!
Great review and it is a stunning bike. I would definitely prefer this bike to my Harley but three things chill me: 1) Like you said, 100 mile range is too short. I don't care about mileage, just range. 2) Chain drive. My '99 Harley still has original belt and more than 150k miles with zero maintenance and no oil slinging onto the wheel. 3) Wheels appear to require tubes. Big issue if you can't plug a leak and keep going. Otherwise, I would seriously consider the Bobber. Also, I love the parallel twin. So I'm waiting and hoping for future changes to the Bobber. 🙂
i had a flat tire one time with the bobber, but i called AAA and the mororbike tow truck took me and my motorbike back home, and to the dealer for a new tube and tire the next day . the bobber feels small to me , plus it is easy to ride. it feels like a beginner motorbike.i get about 55 mpg , i'm still on the original tires with 8,000 miles + , although i try to keep my speed to 65 mph. i can just touch my boots to the ground and i am 5 ft 2 inches tall, all my previous motorbikes were tiptoe on one foot only.
I recently brought a Speed Twin 900 (formerly Street) and I absolutely love it. In a few years I would like the Bobber or the Bonnie. The only thing I don’t like about the bobber is the headlight is about an inch or two too small. I bigger, chrome edged lamp would be much better. A superb looking beast though.
I was looking at this when I got my R nineT, still love the looks of the bobber but the weight, power and engine size threw me off. How is a 1200cc liquid cooled get about 77hp and an air oil cooled 1170cc get 110hp and more torque? The R nineT also is 60lbs lighter. Seem like the bobber should be light-weight in the concept of a bobber style was less weight.
Great professional review! What do you think of the forward controls option? Seats and handlebar risers are available to adjust the ride for riders with a short inseam or arm length. The stock seat is a killer (not in a good sense). Maybe Triumph should sell a small gas can as an option? ;-). It's a great motorcycle at US or UK prices but a stock 2024 Bobber (non-stealth edition costs $19,000++ USD!
Triumph yet again, has produced another beautiful bike that biker's actually want to buy. The chrome really needs PPF coating to stop scratches and ruining that stunning designed fuel tank. The seat for me, is a bit too low? Like Alex, I'm 6.2ft and it's Bobber hence the low down seat and Cruiser ride. So it might not be for everyone. My only gripe as Alex also mentioned, is the 12 litre tank. Personally, I'd love to see a 14 which I think would have made a difference to the overall spec. All in all, another bike that proves Triumph is serious about it's place in the market.
I feel that this type of bike should have either belt or shaft drive instead of noisy and messy chain, especially when it comes to maintenance. Just my opinion of course
£13,000..? That's obscene... Last bike I bought new was a K9 GSXR1000, and it was £9500. With an alarm, double-bubble, crash bungs, tail tidy, and heated grips.
Don't get a lot for 14 grand look at the new indian sport scout top of the range for just over 14 grand triumph have been left behind even the rebel 1100 has more tech and that's just over 10 grand

It sounds so good stock! Like you say, subtle but classy.
The light comes on at approx 80-85 miles with 9 litre tank, but it’ll cover 120 miles comfortably… as I do regularly.
Put the British customs exhaust on it. It really sounds great! It opens the top end up a bit too.
I got the goldline, didn’t take long to decat & straight pipe it 😂 different animal now
The bobber chrome is just a gem of a bike. Super handling and always delivers a fun ride.
Couldn't agree more!

Late in the season but glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the comment and keep us posted on your UK riding antics!
I bought mine a few days ago and will get her in a few weeks. Cant wait =D
Thanks for the review, love the Bobber
No problem 👍 So do we!

Thanks for the comment! Original belt is awesome...

Nice review, but are you sure those aren't the stock mirrors? They look a whole lot like the ones that came on mine.
On the website looks like there are two bar end mirror options 😂 Thanks for the comment Jim.
I don't have the centre chrome paint alignment issue on the tank on my bobber
Thanks for letting us know.
@@BikeMatters I ran to my garage, hoping it wasn't a glass shattering OCD moment for me, glad it wasn't, got me up from my chair for a while there 😅
Wonder if any other owners did the same 🤣
Want one as my next bike
How tall are you? I'm curious about being a 6ft tall, and how comfortable it is, esp after 1 or 2 hours of riding?
Thank you, great review

We agree on the headlight! Could just be that big bigger. Have fun with the 900!
I have a 900 SpeedTwin and am soon to pick up a Bobber Chrome Edition.

The gas can would be welcome! 😂 Forward controls would be fun, if you're into that sort of thing.
I like the Bobber, but it seems excessively heavy - its dry weight is more than that of the Triumph Tiger 1200 adventure bike!
It is heavy!
I would consider this bike if it has Thruxton or even Speed Twin 1200 power.
Where does this not have Thruxton level power?
In the process of getting this
My absolute dream bike. Own a VFR for my first bike, but I want this beauty next. Did you get it? What you make of it?
@@V4demon_ it's a great bar bike. Lots of torque. It's the last of the EVO. Great sound with pipes!
The bobber is nice but sitting on it riding the down side i found is if your 5/ 10 + feels alooks your sitting on a potty ,knees up high 🥺
You can get the pegs moved forward

Thanks for the comment Adam! The 15 litre tank would be a game changer.
The least I get out of the 9l tank is 180 km. Regularly get 200-220 km and have done 250km+ when putting along the highway at 100-110km/h

Thanks for the comment!
That would take away from the styling. Old school style is chain
Chain is easy to maintain, just spray on the back of the rear sprocket every couple rides. Most people overdo chain maintenance.
Could one buy a passenger seat ?
Not on this Bobber
@@BikeMatters I’ve seen a custom one built on Instagram looked kinda wierd
Will need to look at it! Couldn't imagine it floating off the back 😂
@@BikeMatters ill send u link Hang on lol

the only thing about bobbers I dont like is suspension... to harsh for my taste/butt
This one really did surprise us with how plush it was!
@@BikeMatters thanks!! maybe I will test one actually haha never ridden bobber only cruisers
Own a bobber, tiring for long journeys but otherwise fine.
why is is that only UK channels praise triumphs and the rest of the world is hating their company approach to users and reliability - UNreliability ?
