Are you kidding? For car sold as being a pure sport car being teack oriented, a +8 min and the Nurburgring BTG lap is really bad! I don t know what is the official full lap with the Emira but I hope it is around 7min30...that s disappointing.
@@giovannidelucia3730 well. m2 is cheaper and did sub 7:40, but that car is equipped with cup2 tires and only one driver. I'm curious how quick emira would be with cup2 and one driver.

I always wanted a Spring 2024 delivery as it suits me (other commitments till then) - so I contacted them a few times to work out when to get myself in the queue. All good things come to those who wait... (sometimes). And 'carpe diem' for everything else! 😂
I owned the Evora S and had intake and exhaust. It didn't pull to its top speed in 6th. 6th was more like an over-drive gear for the highway. If you were at 140MPH or so in 5th and shifted to 6th, it wouldn't pull and actually slow down.
@peterjhartvideo I don't know about other sports cars, but it's definitely that way in the Evora S. I owned an Exige before the Evora, so I was surprised as well. The last generation Corvette had an option for a 7 speed manual. I bet that 7th gear didn't pull to redline either.
@@peterjhartvideo 6 is just an overdrive . My ZR-1 is not recommended that you use 6th for highspeed runs . It won't pull anymore because it comes out of the power band . Its for fuel economy on the highways . The ZR-1 Corvette's get better gas mileage than a 4 cylinder engine lol .
Thanks, I think it's a combination of the angle over the shoulder and the gloves making my hand look like it's starting further back than it is as the gear shift feels good 👍
@olofsweden haha I think it's just a weird driving habit I seem to have when heel and toe downchanging as I can reach all of the gears without doing it changing up 🤣
@@jp__fox yeah and you got held up too! I too held a lot back on my last visit, best to keep within mine and the cars safety margins and live to do a return trip!
How did you change speedo from mph to kph, I know how to change the small widget from mph to kph but not the main Speedo, does it change in all 3 driver modes?
To set kph in the trip computer widget, first select trip a or trip b, then hit widget menu button and it gives you a choice of average speed or dual speed. I have again tried to select main Speedo units to kph but it only changes the odometer to km

Its slow, not even close to anything, its glacial its that slow. A good time in a 991.2 GT3 is around 7 minutes. Don't embarrass yourself by claiming a BTG record.
580kg? Maybe compared to an S1... would it be quicker round the ring? Maybe... would it be cramped, noisey and uncomfortable for the rest of the Europe trip? Definitely 🤣 Sorry I may not be a Lotus purist but the Emira is so much more usable and I'd make the same call again, every day of the week 😁
@RobertRedford77 if you've found some scales that say a standard S3 Exige with the V6 still in it is under 1000kg, I think you've found yourself some broken scales... can I borrow them to weigh my 1200kg Emira? 😁
@RobertRedford77 Which model have you got and what do you think it weighs standard? You can add all the carbon you want, lotus doesn't claim under 1100kg wet for any of the V6 exiges so unless you've taken the engine out, the scales are wrong 🤷♂️

On the main screen, I think it's settings > car > units but not 100% on the 2nd option. How do you change just the smaller one? 😂

@@jp__fox The S1 was 680kg wet, the S2 Exige was 810kg wet....S3 Exige is 972kg wet. These are actual weight with 1/4 tank on Gov calibrated scales

@@jp__fox They are UK calibrated. I do have a lot of extra non factory carbon. Airbox removed which weight 26kg.......
