My home church is OLG Mission with Fr. Roy and I got confirmed last week ,but a couple weeks ago when we went on a retreat for a few hours Fr. Roy took us from OLG to La Lomita and back to OLG it’s beautiful there even though I was there for less than an hour and I only went inside for a few minutes it was really nice .
I live in Edinburg Texas and I’ve never gone there planing to go this weekend on my bike ride night. I did also see in google earth that there’s like an abandoned house near it I’m not sure it looks super blurry might as well investigate that to 👀
The History behind these old missions is intrestingive seen this little chaple about 150 feet from the Rio Grande River and by the river are two bars Pepes on the river and Sepep spelled back wards...😎🎸🎷🎺🎻🎹🎶🎵🎼🎤🍺🍻🍺🍻
Just wait until the WALL puts this dear chapel out of reach for the faithful. So wrong to ignore the wishes of the people in the Valley who worship at La Lomita.

I have been to that church before! When it was abandoned. My grandma used to go there
My late father used to be the the Chief of Police there. He loved Mission.
I am from the lower valley. I love this place. It is very peaceful. The surroundings are nature and peace.
