Waaaay back in the day when I drove OTR, I hauled many a load of them gift-boxed Ruby Red grapefruits from down in the Valley to Northeast UPS and Post Office distribution centers. What type of Oranges do they harvest?
Marrs, Hamlin and navel oranges.
The marrs are small in size and somewhat thin peel, but they are extremely sweet!
Florida produces much more oranges than the Valley, but the Valley oranges are much more sweeter.
