What an expressive gentleman Mr. Joey is when you get each adjustment back where it belongs! It took him the first couple of small adjustments before he was able to make the connection with what you were doing & how good he began to feel! He didn't show his awareness in just his eyes, he literally reached out with his 'hands' a couple of times! Then as he began to feel much better he reached a couple more times but just so that he made sure that you knew how much he appreciated what you were doing that was making him feel so much better, his kissy lips started wiggling & extending looking around for a way to get a hold of you to say THANK YOU! JOEY WAS REALLY GRATEFUL FOR THE WAY YOU WERE MAKING HIM FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!! 💜🐎💜
I watched a few of these, and it's definitely noticeable how the horses react right after a painful part of their body is relieved. They sort of go into a frozen but chilled posture like we do, as the brain and body immediately adjust itself to the tension coming off the nerve and immune system going to work. Just those little shows of affection are so familiar. Pain is universally life altering, but peace is even more so. Whatever the species, it's all a wonderful and humbling experience to take pain away. Very glad you exist Mr Willen. 👍
Joey's gorgeous!! 💖 Well done Doc!! I'm sure he'll be moving out a lot better. He's not camped under like he was before you did his hind end adjustment. As soon as you did that, he stood not camped under anymore. Proud of you Doc!! Great Job!! There was a whole lot of Snap, Crackle and Pop happening, but each time, he just kept lowering his head, and his eye kept getting dopier and dopier. All the signs of a well adjusted horse. 💖 Love from your Crazy Canuck Horse Trainer Friend in Ontario, Canada, Jenn. 💖 💖 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
“Lip spot”, one for the ages. Humans have a few of those, Ruby definitely did. The Doc makes healing potions (the supplements) for animals now as well as humans. The cauldron gets plenty use these days. It seemed like there was more going on energetically at times during this one. Love the licks and nibbles at the end. Joey you’re lovely.
I love Joey! I was shocked by how he was following his mom around until I realized she was giving him treats! Hahaha. Either way he put his nose in both her and your hands 10x more than any horse I've seen you work on! He is very calm and trusting. And such a handsome boy!
Joey and I twitch in the same spots in our mid-thoracics. Watched both ads attached to the video at the beginning and the two ads that played in the middle of my leaving a comment. I’m here to support the creator. 👍🏽 Wishing everyone a good Sunday from steamy New Orleans.
Joey is such a sweet boy and so well behaved. I had never heard of a rocky mountain horse, as aways you are top of your game, and all the animals love you. God bless keep up your good work.
Please, everyone give a very big shout out to Dr. W because he is volunteering his time and that means when he’s driving as well as when he’s on property; this is truly using your gifts. I’m being a servant leader in our profession very grateful to see his work.❤❤❤ everyone of these horses deserves a pain-free life Please don’t forget to contact your local Congress representatives to push the safe act forward to prevent horse being shipped for slaughter forever in the United States
@@AnimalCrackerDrDougWillen it’s my joy, seriously. I think people already respect and honor so much of what you do. I think what they don’t know, is that you do it out of a true desire, to leave, suffering, and improve quality of life. And, that you’re doing it when you volunteer, at a loss at an opportunity cost. It’s not just when you get there. The clock starts when you leave your house or your office to go there and ends when you come back. I’m not trying to monetize it as the primary focus, I’m just trying to get people to understand what you’re really giving
Dr Doug gets the best smooches!!! When you did that first adjustment his head was all over like don't touch me there, after that shove it was like he knew that was going to feel good because he just stood up very straight. When your box fell omg scared the crap out of me. LOL Joey is very handsome with his sun bleached hair. Thank you Dr Doug. Have a great weekend everyone!!! 😎
There's a saying..." If they're blinking, they're thinking." After that last adjustment of the pol he blinked a while and did the lick and chew. I think his entire body felt better and he was just realizing it. He's a nice horse and I'm glad he had some relief.
Dr Willen, Joey is really handsome and his ombré hair is so beautiful. I remember his first video, his owner is very nice 👍as well. That box falling cause of the wind startled him at 10:33, he really trusted you. Thank you 🙏for all the help you’re giving everyone, have a great 👍weekend doc, that ending was so precious.
This farm is so beautiful and I love these darling beasties have such a quality home to be cared for and loved - every horse, donkey and pony deserves a place like this. Joey raised his leg like a kitty - he's a darling. I always see that working on a horse is such a workout for you, Doc. And I loved the many integration nibbles going on - it was very satisfying to see Joey sort of blink and have a moment of thought as to what might have happened and then to begin the nibble-nibble-nibble integration.
What a cutie! He had a lot of tension in his upper lip, lots of pain. The withers area was a good adjustment. He seems... tucked under? I'm getting a sense that his kidneys are troubled. He's also a nervous boy, but very sweet, and probably funny. Oh, great poll adjustment, he stopped and said, "whoa..."! RMH are great ponies!
Wow. After watching so many of these videos you can really see how this nerv system adjustments work and how it lokks like on a horse. This one is really beautiful and thankful afterwards. That was very interesting! Thanks Dr Doug! 👍👍👍
I have used dog chiropractors. My wife was a chiropractor. I have been an animal person for a long time. My experience gives me a hard to fool perspective. You are not fooling. This is legit. I hope you find it rewarding and keep on it.
Also, he feels more like a "Jericho", "Geronimo", or even a "Django", than a joey. This beauty is not a baby kangaroo!!! I wish he was mine! He's stunning!
Jeepers he is absolutely "Gorgeous"! I'm watching & I'm listening, but all I can really do is pay attention to his ombre colouring! As well as his calm & quiet demeanour. I love him reaching out every now & then.
Joey is gorgeous! And so much more colorful from the last time you saw him. It almost looked like you were doing tai chi with him in the beginning. So soothing and relaxing. Is he getting his mane and coat bleached by the sun? He sure loves his scratches, and he deserves them! 💖🐎
Joe accepted the adjustments and his parasympathetic nervous system responded very well, with all the licking and chewing and nibbling. Thank you very much for sharing.
The sore withers are often due to poor saddle fit, if it's setting to far up or that the saddle is too tight. Sadly saddlefit is often ignored or forgotten, many horses that end up at auction or in the wrong homes were ridden in a saddle that didn't fit them which causes them to often act out in pain and then be labeled as a problem horse. It's hard working with those type of horses as you can't just throw a properly fitted saddle on them and expect them to magically get better as it will often take time as they have that memory hold that trauma of every time a saddle was placed on them and they were ridden it was painful
I love that you explain what you're doing along the way, I always find your videos so informative! OK, that's enough pushing and shoving for one day doc..... but geez, it feels so much better, thank you 😅 I love how this beautiful horse, full of expression, he should just talk, seeks reassurance from his human mama ❤️
Look at all his blonde highlights. He's so pretty. Are you a veterinarian or a chiropractor that also specialized in animals? I'm thinking of becoming a horse vet but I don't know if I can stomach certain surgeries, suffering and cadavers but I do want to work with them and help them. Great job.
Joey you are a very handsome horse 🐎. I love your coat and mane. Yes Dr Doug he does look like he has highlights in his hair. Especially if you compare the older video to this one. He was kissing you to thank you for all you do Dr Doug ❤

Joey is a beautiful colour horse
He definitely is! Thanks for connecting.
His love nibbles... that drew the tears right out of me.
Thank you so much for watching. Please no more tears.🙏🏻😊
Tears are good, they release tension. It's like the horse's licking and chewing. :)
Joey got the Elvis lip. hahaha
