I'm so homesick, can't wait to return in 2023
Belos lugares por onde passam os trens e locomotivas da Kiwi Rail na nova Zelândia vídeo muito bonito
Just letting you know the Wellington Fault is not where the pacific and Australian plates meet. This occurs off the coast of Wellington to the East at the Hikurangi Subduction Zone. The entire Wellington region is on the Australian plate.
New Zealand feels like you're in different planet.
There are 2 palmerstons in NZ one in south and the other is Palmerston North. The one in the south island is referred to as "palmerston"
The larger one is in Manawatu-Whanganui, and the smaller one in Otago.
@@thomaskara2048 do you know the Kara's in whanganui because im related to them
@@CarlosWilkie Not that I'm aware off. I'm related to the Karas in the Hawke's Bay.
that means that there is only one palmerston, and one palmerston north. not 2 palmerstons
Seeing New Zealand has just entered its full
Covid lockdown august 2021
Me and my wife decided to watch this
It’s a real shame as born and bred new Zealander s you’re attitude wasn’t the best towards the country and snide little comments
Probably not only weren’t needed
But we’re very inaccurate
I noticed you’re attitude went downhill from part 3 and the ferry crossing
And most of the way to Auckland
Few true facts about New Zealand
1) you don’t need to expect a lot of rain in New Zealand’s summer
The country’s true summer doesn’t really start until the Christmas break (25th December on wards) and extends through January and into February if you came in early December that is our spring
So to come in early December was your idea
And to make such silly comments wasn’t needed
2)
To say the Wellington coast was the most spectacular part of the journey north
Also you’re opinion
But majority would disagree with you
3) to compare New Zealand to Ireland was the most silly thing I think you wrote
Even in joking
It showed again you chose the wrong time of year
And you didn’t explore very much at all
4) to call Auckland dull and say waiheke is a better summer destination
Is very misinforming
Maybe that again is you’re opinion
But a vast majority would disagree with you
Waiheke is good for a day trip
But that’s about it
Again it shows you didn’t really explore
In closing I do hope people eating these videos
Come and make three own mind up about this country
A lot of the comments
Made here are even spelt incorrectly
So I have to wonder how much this visitor
Really too on board this holiday
Please decide for yourself
I hope it is the Covid lockdown that addles your brain. I looked for snide comments and found none. It was raining (rain is beautiful) or at least cloudy all of the time. What do you want. Should the author have lied for your sake? I see 5 times as many incorrect spelled comments in your statement than the author's. The lockdown will pass in a few years (considering where you live) and maybe you'll recover and come back to your senses. Outside of that: New Zealand is a beautiful country and I feel deprived never to see it in my life so this is the best impression I will ever get (and I see nothing negative in it).
A dozen years ago I made up my mind to go and had a great trip to New Zealand. I was there from the later part of December until the first part of February. It was a fun and enjoyable adventure. I had a wonderful time and met many wonderful people. Returned back to Vancouver in time for the Winter Olympics. I'd recommend to anyone that they take a trip to New Zealand. Cheers! from 🇨🇦
Well said!!
my english very bad.soory. thank you for videos. many people dosnt have money to travel. thank you
NZ is so beautiful.
I'm sure Auckland is better than Seattle
Beatiful
Supplier of this video is very critical of our trains ,tracks and carriages. Get a life.
What a beautiful country 🇨🇦
Thanks for the video. It's too bad the weather wasn't better during your trip. It's better you should come in Feb-1st half of Apr. That's when the when the summer is more really going on these days in NZ, even if December is officially the start of summer. Yes, Kapiti Coast has quite good scenery but I think the Rangitikei Viaducts (You only showed one small part and this scenery goes on for some time over multiple viaducts) and the Central Plateau are better, It was just unfortunate you had bad weather as on a good day, especially in winter or Spring/Autumn, the mountains can be spectacular when well covered with snow.
Did you take coverage of Auckland's suburban lines and trains? I guess you saw all the digging downtown for the City Rail link tunnels. Those tunnels are all finished now, the new laneway shopping centre opened a few months ago, and the new plaza in front of Britomart opened last week.
It's ironic you had so much rain. Auckland has had so little rain this year we have had water restrictions for most of this year!
New Zealand looks so green and peaceful! Thanks for this!
nature of NZ reminds me of Ireland
@@doc7austin I agree.
@@doc7austin That's funny, because the nature of Ireland reminds me of New Zealand! Have enjoyed watching your videos of NZ - Thanks for posting them.
We all love blue skies and snow capped mountains , but green paddocks and gentle summer rain really remind me of home .
Well, at least you experienced the wilderness.. contrast of scenic locations, amazing..
Love watching all the sites and scenes.

its too late......4 me
THX ever so much
Cheers
Is it 1.067 mm narrow gauge? What is the top speed?
Top speed for the gauge is about 160 km/ h but there isn’t anywhere with near that speed in nz
I want to see this place, this is my favourite ❤
wonder how the lines faring atm.with this weather atm in nz
no narration, we have to guess what is happening.
This reminds me a lot of British Columbia CND. I live on Vancouver Isl, the trees are different but much the same. Great video, take care and be safe.
Did you cross the tangiwai bridge on this journey? When you were traveling over that bridge you also passed by the site where NZ's worst rail disaster occurred in 1953 when a lahar damaged one of the piers and then an Wellington-Auckland Express train came by and when it arrived the bridge gave way and the engine and first five carriages were dragged into the flood, the sixth carriage fell into the flood as well and 151 people died in NZ's worst rail accident. Next time you go to the central North Island go to the Tangiwai memorial at the site where the accident occurred but it will be emotional (I haven't been there yet but I'm dying to get there one day)
Palmerston North is in the North island 60 mins drive north of Wellington and is hot in summer ,cold windy wet in Winter.
Amazing nature of Newzealand 🥰🥰👌,Iam from India one day desire to traveling to New Zealand Nature is my dream..
It’s quite civilized!
Well NZ is one of the most developed countries in the world with one of the highest standards of living, of course it's civilized.
This train run only about 35 miles/hrs.
So slow! Like turtle. I guess that's why they they have only 30% ridership!!
You would miss a lot of the scenery if you went much faster. And how are you going to go faster in those mountains? Bore tunnels through them and miss all the fun? The Bernina Express is even slower, but it would defeat the purpose of the train, which is more a tourist attraction than it is transportation.
It goes much faster than 35mp/h
@@KiwiRailSpotter it's about 38 mph, or 61 kph, commercial speed, stops included. Top speed can be higher, but it's not exactly neck-breaking. I wouldn't mind very much, though, it's plenty fast for a sightseeing train.
If it went any faster youd end up in Australia looking at 50 shades of poo brown scenery.

You actually traveled on the Horehronec? Too bad that train was canceled.
It's my dream to visit it one-day
I am doing this!!!!!!! super excited!
NZ's trains are really crappie!
Only because they are not looked after properly
@@KiwiRailSpotter indeed. Privatization did Not go well. At least there's some hope of fixing that now.
At least we have trains
Nice scenery. Maybe one day......
You have no idea. It is easily one of the most beautiful & spectacular countries in the world . It is very compact. The North Island is beautiful the South Island island just takes my breath away . It can be interesting to travel in like narrow Alpine roads, wild airports like Wellington on a Stormy day. Cooks passage can be really wild too. Oh yes it can be very wet down South.
Is it a repeat?
Good one.

I've seen this video 2 days ago!?
i had to reupload the video due to a copyright strike
Glad I watched; I no longer have a desire to see NZ
Why, may I ask, do you no longer have a desire to see NZ after watching one video?
Odd comment
That's ok. We no longer have a desire to see you here either.
How long was the commute ?
It's about 11 hours
