Ladies and gents, what you're looking at here is a go-kart for F1 drivers.
Keep up the good work, I'd like to see this complete.
Thank you, Mr. Atomic! You can see Laguna's exterior design at shorelinebespoke.com
@@ShorelineBespoke I just had a look and I like the 1960s race car styling, but not for this car. What you have in this video is gorgeous, aggressive, sleek- it looks nimble and fast just sitting there. But when you add the body it becomes frumpy- not ugly per se, but it loses all the adjectives I used previously- in my opinion.
TLDR; Way sexier without that shell.
No idea what I’m looking at, but this video should have a million views. This things looks epic
Thank you Andrew, we are happy to share our development journey with you!
acording to their website: a 635Kg 60's LMP-Style sports car with a 10,000RPM i6 and a 6-Speed sequential, limited to 75 units

@@dantevito1193 I went and sought them out after the comment, but thanks.
@@ShorelineBespoke is that a motorcycle engine, or is it something you’ve created in-house?
Mid engine, transverse I6, ITBs, vintage Speedline-style wheels and Porsche 917-esque steering wheel with a Lancia Stratos-looking windsheild frame. Thats a lot of positive characteristics in one car!
Thanks so much for the kind words, Tyler! Check out Laguna’s exterior design at shorelinebespoke.com if you haven’t already!
Hope the guys at Petrolicious will pick you up for an episode. You deserve all the recognition
Thank you! Please share with your friends if you feel so inclined! We would love to do a Petrolicious video one day.
Wow! This is awesome! I have been dreaming the past few years of building an old school sports car based around a bike 6 cylinder just like this. I'd love to see this in kit form.
You guys have inspired me to continue to work on my own automotive project. Many many thanks ! I wish you nothing but all the world's success ! I look forward to seeing you and your beautiful vehicle develop
I love little bespoke manufacturers like these! Beautiful!

@@Earlysport Look at what they aim to do on their website, it's a neat little prototype.
Looks like a mix of a Ferrari and a TVR to my eyes, which is very pleasant.
Quite elegant.
I hope they'll finish their project and all 75 cars.
This is fantastically epic! Well done, gentlemen.❤

Is that an ammo can on the side? I love it.
It sure is! We thought it was a nice little touch too, and we talked about it more here: shorelinebespoke.com/updates/edition-thirteen
This is a awesome concept maybe reach out to Europe because they have a lot tracks that need cars like this. I think next model you guys should make should use a bike engine and try and see if you can get sponsors so that you show case it at sema this year of next year.
Thank you for the kind words! We do indeed have customers in Europe!
Looks like a modern take of an old-school, light-weight, race car. Beautiful engineering!
You hit the nail on the head!
Looks like a track monster!

Wonderful music.
Lo-fi acid jazz version of 'Summertime' ?
Car is incredible. Beautifully engineered. Looks ready to drive ....
Thank you! This prototype is indeed already driving, and you can see Laguna's exterior design at shorelinebespoke.com
Yes.
So sick
I can't wait to see it bodied. Don't go retro but not futuristic. Go minimalist, elegant and fast.

Did i just see a straight 6 go cart??? Thats was a cool looking car/go cart

@@ShorelineBespoke Will do so.
So is it like a street legal low profile lowered dune buggy?
Looks awesome, although I can't see a use I'd have for it. I prefer my RZR, BMW and Seadoo. This would make for some fun beach cruising though.
Love for Gold Coast Australia
Great question. Our first prototype will stay in its current form as an "incomplete" car and perform testing for drivetrain, chassis, suspension and steering systems. Our second build will incorporate our bodywork and interior trim as a 95% complete pre-production vehicle. Chassis number three will be the first road-legal customer car. Laguna's exterior design is on full display at shorelinebespoke.com - check it out!
What a great chassis to put what ever body you want on

Respect to the team who turned this collective vision into reality.
Thank you Mike! Please share if you feel so inclined!
Great engineering guys, Congrats on bringing your pocket rocket to fluition.
Tell us, What inline-6 engine did you use?
Let me guess, is it a N/A 1.6L BMW K1600 engine or a custom 1.3L Hyabusa block with 2 additional cylinders, making a 2.0L pocket rocket?
If a Hyabusa, should be ultra reliable 👍. The BMW K1600 clutch is alway a weak issue. Don't know if there is 3rd parts clutches out there for the K1600 to resolve this.
Thank you for the kind words, Ronnie! Laguna is indeed powered by a BMW-derived engine.
Just watch out for the standard OEM clutch plate. With the extra weight of your chassis, they do need attention. This stopped me from putting a K1600 engine in my Lotus Elise S1 (car dry weight with engine would have been 600kg), as there was no 3rd party providing K1600 performance clutch kits at the time. If you do find a performance clutch kit for the K1600, and need more power, then I'de highly recommend tts-performance in the UK. They are a well renowned manufacture of supercharger kits for Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki, and Honda road bikes. Might take some twisting off their arm to do one for the K1600, but you never know. Success with your Laguna.
this thing is a beauty
Thanks so much! Please share with your friends if you feel so inclined!
Wow, yes!
Love the no holds barred approach to putting CG as low as possible while keeping the stance as wide as possible. I wonder if this would maybe necessitate something like kevlar/carbon skid plates.
Thank you for the kind words! Laguna Prototype One does indeed have a full-length flat floor that doubles as a skid plate.
This thing looks sweet, getting
Lancia stratos vibes
Definitely in the same realm of motorsport inspiration! You can see Laguna’s exterior design at shorelinebespoke.com
Sort of like Cleetus’s open car in the beginning, before it became a tire smokin drag sensation.
Thast insane 😍

Looks fast
Wow! Hope my comment helps the algorithm pick this up
Thank you, we hope so too!
What do u think of the vulcan alpha?
very cool! are the centerlock wheels custom as well? i'd love a classic 5-spoke dished wheel like that for the race car.
Thank you! They are indeed bespoke, designed in-house!
@@ShorelineBespoke do you sell them separately >.>
Looks killer. Should perform at Ariel Atom speeds which means it will be a rocket.
Thank you! You hit the nail on the head.
👍
Is it road legal, or purely for the track?
Laguna will be road-legal, and designed to be just as entertaining on both road and track!
I already see many different body types from thin brick like to triangular to organic and even mixed. The simpler the nicer I think. Good luck anyway, interesting project. 😊
Thank you! You can see Laguna's exterior design at shorelinebespoke.com
Elements of project jigsaw but more bespoke………. 👍
Looks truly amazing, what I6 is that?
Thank you! Laguna is powered by a BMW-derived engine.
@@ShorelineBespoke Makes perfect sense, they do make some good sixes
Great build!! If that was mine I would make a 60s Ferrari 250 LM body for it.
Thanks Ian! Laguna's exterior design was inspired by our favorite 60's Le Mans prototypes, the 250 LM being one of them! You can see Laguna's exterior design at shorelinebespoke.com
@@ShorelineBespoke will definitely ck it out!
@@ShorelineBespoke what a beautiful car, the red one. Come on Powerball!! I'd buy one . Along with a Superformance Daytona Coupe, a Lotus Elise, a Caterham.. a good start to a dream collection. I have a daily, 89 CRX, but would love to turn a del sol into a mini 250 LM for autocrossing.
Looks like it's gonna have some wild hood ducting when you put the skin on
It sure is! More pictures of the bodywork on our homepage shorelinebespoke.com
sheesh 🔥🔥🔥🇵🇭
Yes ... YES !
Reminds me of a mix of a kit car with dune buggy vibes, hella dope; what sort of racing is it gonna be doing?
Thank you! This prototype is shown without bodywork - to get a better idea of Laguna's character, view its exterior design at shorelinebespoke.com
@@ShorelineBespokenot gonna lie, the last thing i was prepared to see was a genuine shell over this- i thought it was already a build as is, but you guys did a fantastic job on the shell design. she looks like a heavy splash of what the 1960s LeMan’s cars were, bellissimo 🫶🏻
Cant wait to see this finished
Nice! How many hours did you spent to build this?
Thank you! Laguna underwent a 36 month engineering phase before we began constructing the first prototype, which took another 14 months! The vehicle assembly itself takes about five days - that’s the easy part! You can read more about our development journey at shorelinebespoke.com/updates
What are you guys doing for the body? Aluminum or carbon? I am in Santa Ana, Ca and shape sheet metal if you need anything.
Thank you! Laguna will have a composite body but we will certainly keep you in mind!
I wounder what it will look like when they finish it! Exciting!!

Wow, that looks extremely well designed and engineered. Is that a BMW K 1600 engine?
Thank you! It is indeed a BMW-derived engine. You can read all about Laguna's development at shorelinebespoke.com/updates
@@ShorelineBespoke an EXCELLENT choice of engine for a small, mid-engined sports car. Thanks, I'll do that.
Yeah, I'm impressed. One quick glance at the frame shows that you understand triangulation very well, and much better than some (e.g. Palatov). It bodes well for your success.
That and the gorgeous body, of course.
You've got a new fan here.
Let me know if you need a test driver... 😁
yea Im in , waiting for progress

@@ShorelineBespoke yeah I'm DEFINITELY gonna be watching cause I'm going through some things and seeing this made NOT think about so much even for a few hours at least
Looks and sounds awesome. California street legal too? I saw it had plates on the website.
Thank you, Zack! Laguna will indeed be street-legal.
Looks like a mix of the 906 and 330 P3. Honda straight 6? Overall, I dig it.
You hit the nail on the head! Laguna is a 1960’s Le Mans Prototype reincarnated as a modern sports car, powered by a BMW-derived engine!
is it staying as a exocar or this just the chassis?
Great question. Our first prototype will stay in its current form as an "incomplete" car and perform testing for drivetrain, chassis, suspension and steering systems. Our second build will incorporate our bodywork and interior trim as a 95% complete pre-production vehicle. Chassis number three will be the first road-legal customer car. Laguna's exterior design is on full display at shorelinebespoke.com - check it out!
At first I was thinking a rotary engine because of the logo you have.
That is a good guess! Our logo is actually inspired by a similarly shaped item: the signage of California's Highway 1. You can read more about our logo at shorelinebespoke.com/updates/edition-two
I’ll buy 1
Vacuum skirt for max downforce/ least drag resistance when???
bro really said "i built half my car i'll finish the other half later" 💀
can't wait to see the final result (i deff won't be able to afford it)
Thank you, Alex! You're right, we are building Laguna from the inside out. Our second prototype will feature Laguna's bodywork and fully trimmed interior!
By any chance is the engine from a Honda CBX? I hope this video gets more traction soon, the people need to see this.
CBX was aircooled. This is water cooled.
Secondly, they are looking to manufacture them, as new, as a low production volume vehicle.
The only modern motorcycle to be using an inline six, that I know of, is the BMW K 1600.
Pretty sure it is the only option.
@dposcuro is correct! Laguna is powered by a BMW-derived engine.
@@dposcuroI was so confused when I saw the water cooling, I initially thought cbx due to the compactness of the build and the ITB’s. Absolute marvel of engineering sir, well done I hope to see many more videos on this in the future.
Can you make one in automatic so I can commute to work in traffic?
Yeah, I’d daily that….
👍💪
Us too!
What is the music i need the music!!!
Also cool car.
What engine is in this?
Raceable
