    Thanks, great video👍😊✌️
    To think there was a local guy (vauxhall main dealer) who could change a clutch on MK2 Cavaliers in 20mins (the clutch was designed to come out easily). Shame Suzuki didn't take the same route🙄😳😄😇

    Could you move the release bearing lever by hand when you removed the slave cylinder at the start? Mine has snapped the slave cylinder shaft. Awesome video.

    • @TEAMR4ULTV
      @TEAMR4ULTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can move or take the leaver off.
      After taking the slave cylinder off.
      Bear in mind the leaver has snapped, that tells me that the clutch pressure plate has gone very hard.
      Make sure you mark it before you take it off because it doesn't have a master Spline hope that helps

    Hey mate I got the 2011 1.4L the gear linkage is different and not sure how to remove it

  • @bert8801

    Thanks for the reply. Yes, the little pin is the one on the fork that locates the throw out bearing. Great minds must think alike as I figured that if it was operating alright like that then it should be okay to be driven again. Not surprising it happened though because Im sure that my son said the clutch had done close to 240 000kms and it was shagged. The wife drove it home one night until it stopped moving and wouldn’t travel any further. You know then that it’s time to do the clutch. Thanks for the info.

    Do you know how much an independent garage would charge for clutch replacement on this car (parts and labour)?
    Thanks

    • @TEAMR4ULTV
      @TEAMR4ULTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Labour about £150 to £200
      Plus the price of the clutch

    Hello mr. Raul TV. I just bolted a new clutch plate onto my boys high mileage swift, and I noticed that the small pin on the arm of the fork mechanism in the bell housing is missing. The pin, about 5mm long, steadies the throw out bearing. It has obviously been operating without the pin but can it be replaced easily. To remove the shaft from the bell housing I think I would have to knock out the seal up under the lever arm on top of the case. Then maybe wiggle the shaft down into the bell housing. Then I would have to drill and braze a new pin into the arm. I am really tempted to put it together without the 5 mm pin on the fork arm. It’s obviously been working without it. Any ideas. Thanks.

      Al be straight up honest with you mate without seeing it cant really say. Are you on about the little pin on end of the fork where the bearing goes on if yes. It should be ok without the pins once the release bearing is on and gearbox is bolted up it cant come off because the the fork will hold it, and also the pressure plate will stop it from coming off

      Is there anyway I can send you a picture to show you if it's this pin your on about

    Hello! My gears ain’t falling in so I checked my slave cylinder and its been leaking. I suppose that’s the issue. How much would it cost £ approx to get it fixed?

    • @TEAMR4ULTV
      @TEAMR4ULTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching.
      For the slave cylinder estimate around £100 to £130
      That's supplied and fitted

      @@TEAMR4ULTV Thanks for your reply mate. Just one more query. Can you please provide me with the OE number of the pivot ball. In case the pivot ball is damaged or has too much play, do I need to just replace the pivot ball or the whole thing. Thanks .
