Great tutorial, appreciate the detailed info!
I need some advice. I followed this flow on my 2003 G35 Sedan 6MT with 90K miles, replacing my rear rotors, pads, slide pins and brake hoses. I finished up with a 2-person brake bleeding at all four wheels, being careful to keep the brake flued reservoir filled with DOT3 Nissan brake fluid as we were going along. I had my wife doing the brake pedal pumping -- I think she might have gotten a bit aggressive with the amount of force on the pedal. While bleeding the second wheel, she said "braking seems to be getting easier" and we continued on to bleed the four calipers. After bleeding was done and I topped off the brake fluid reservoir, I started the car and depressed the brake pedal to seat the new pads. I noticed there was very little brake resistance and the pedal went to the floor! Uggh. What do you think may have gone wrong? Might my wife's aggressive braking during bleed operation have blown the master cylinder?! Or brake booster??
Ahhh man, sounds like the seals blew on the master cylinder.
