The crab's eyes get super psychedelic when it has star power
Crab people, taste like crab, walk like people.
It's interesting that you have such a different approach to preview doors. I find preview doors very helpful; I go in and spend some time and figure out what the creator planned for the player to execute. Then I go back and fail to execute 50 times. You take a glance at the preview, it doesn't really help, then you go through usually fail the first attempt but acquired the feel and can execute on the next attempt or few attempts following.
It's kinda like the heuristic and algorithmic approaches to solving problems. You kinda jump in and figure it out on your own, but because you've put in thousands of hours into Mario, coming up with a solution is second nature. That makes the jumping-in approach more successful for you than for someone like me. I could figure it out on my own by feeling it out, but it would take a lot longer than just sitting down and analyzing the room. Pretty cool how Mario Maker relates to psychology.
I am very much a "I gotta make this mistake first" type of guy. A lot of times I just can't see the consequences without preforming the action!

Yeh, the mind is a fricking crazy machine. I'm more of a mix and do either or depending on the situation, but your mind sometimes takes these shortcuts subconsciously like if you see four dots on a screen, you know it's four, you don't have to count them. But if it's seven or ten you do. But if they're like in a familiar pattern (a hectagon or octagon or 4x4 square) you don't.
But MM messes with your mind. I feel like some super smart psychology student needs to write a dissertation on the psychology of troll levels in the game. Even the evolution of the troll levels is super fascinating.
Which door? It was 3... Which door? It was 3... Which door? It's 3 right? It was 2. Which door? It was actually a pipe to the right.
Honestly someone needs to make a troll level where the exit is a very obvious door after 1 or 2 doors that kill you. You'd never try that 3rd door and be stuck in the level forever until you finally break down and try that door and slap yourself in the head because it was there the whole time!
Yeah, it is amazing how human activity relates to the field of psychology and how trying to beat a level relates to the field of problem solving approaches. It is also amazing how saying hi to your neighbor relates to the field of cognitive beharioal science and linguistics.
Props to Poo making the first jump after a checkpoint. The rarity makes it so much more enjoyable than every other jump.

But wasnt there a "real" true ending before even getting to Bowser Jr.? if one had done the jump correctly, he could have gotten to the skull plattform above which he cwould destroy the block and get somewhere else :o

the interesting part before the first checkpoint is a power up check. If you aren't a crab you just put on the hat and then lose
airkami oh wow I never actually noticed that, so that's why poo was all like "alright that is verrrryyy interesting". That's such a cool check system.
