@@robertide5182they might be mixing up the VODs and the regular videos, a lot of people have their sub boxes set so both show up the same way, so I can see how watching the last edited video and jumping straight to yesterday’s VOD would be confusing
On the topic of Quickie Mountain I’d be fascinated to see some non-SMW Kaizo in this challenge. Celeste hacks, SMB3 hacks, SM64 if you’re confident enough, there’s a lotta fun Kaizo out there
As a beginner I can assure you, getting your ass kicked and taking multiple days isn't the problem, it's when you simply can't win no matter how much time and effort you expend that is demoralizing
This one is tough tho, I don't think I got far on it. Kaizo kindergarten was way worse obviously. There's one that was called.... I dunno like introduction to kaizo or something, that was the best one, had all the tricks and I didn't get wholly bodied until near the end

Quickie World is, so far, the only "kaizo" hack I've been able to beat, and it's weird how proud I am of myself while watching this. I'm in the cool kids clubs. Even though it's very on the easy end.
QW is hard for beginners. Which is what makes it the perfect intro to beginners. It’s hard but doable. Prepares you for the brutal world of Kaizo ahead of you. If you can’t enjoy the difficulty playing QW for the first time, Kaizo isn’t really for you. That’s how I see it.
QW also has a number of quite janky levels, at least compared to newer beginner kaizo hacks. The lack of fast retry and various odd setups really hamper beginner's experience. I had a number of levels I had to look up just because the setups felt so odd, like I was missing a trick.
I popped in the livestream yesterday and was like "oh wow, Poo got his pace back, way to go"
Now I see how that happened.
watching Poo casually 1 shot a level that took me an hour to beat is always nice.
Poo: "that jump's hard"
Me: yeah, it took me 3 hours to figure out how to make it, and I still miss it half the time

Just started Super Quickie World last week as my first Rom Hack, I got the first 5 levels down in about 3 hours haha, haven't dared go past there yet!

I think it's confusing because of the vod channel. You have the vods from the main channel going live and then those re-uploaded to the vod channel

Quicky World 2 is easier than 1.
Fantastic use of Phantom of the Hourglass music in the intro. Underrated soundtrack. Oh, right, and good video too. :)
This one was my first kaizo, and yeah, it kicked my ass for a bit. Love Yourself or Cute Kaizo World are def gentler for true beginners.
