- Silver Coins Detected out of an old Dry Lake!
Today I take my equinox 800 metal detector to one of the first places I've metal detected with luck back in 2012. Coming back here was a great idea because I found some silver coins!

Eagle scout here, that neckerchief slide is from the bobcat rank in cub scouts. the 2nd rank for Cub scouts up until 2015.
Beat me to it
Woggle
I use to do a lot of detecting with my grandpa, I got hooked immediately after I first got my own detector , found a rotted coin purse that had a trime in it along with some more seated coins. Coin purse protected the coins a bit and most were in nice shape. Finding a 3 cent coin was so interesting to me and got me into collecting us odd type coins. Now I buy more coins than I find detecting but still go out and detect a couple times a year.
A trime how exciting for you. I won one but the person never sent it to me. My
loss. It was a GAW, and the person gave it to a metal detectorist. Wah!!
Incredible finds and you’re in my home state! Happy for ya man.
My home state as well PA
Mine as well! New subsciber I like your style.
Mine too ❤❤ where in pa were you hunting?

I do enjoy your detecting videos
The wife and I spent our anniversary hiking Ricketts Glen this weekend. This is the first time in recent memory that the falls trail has been open in march. No snow, no ice and all beautiful!
What keeps you detectorist heart pounding? Silver, relics, old coins, gold and so much
more. I so enjoyed this video. Seeing you back doing what you have been doing for
years. I also love the yard sales. I've been with you since 2016/2017 and have enjoyed every
second of it. I would love to join, but can't. You will always be one of my favorites.
Best of luck, Shane! 🤗🤗
Very cool spot and awesome finds. Thanks for sharing!
Hey brother, happy to see my friends excel in metal detecting. 😃 It's a great hobby where persistence pays. 😉 Remember a silver signal will generally read high maybe 26-36 pull tabs tend to come in 16-18.🧐 Keep in mind silver rings that are shaped like pull tabs silver can ring in at 16-18 cause of their shape and size. 🤓 Once you learn those tones it's easier to pull silver more often. 🥰 Happy Hunting! 😊
I always watch all your stuff it's always very relaxing
nice to see you out and about! nice finds
What a great day out detecting Klesh. I can't wait until you get back there.
Congratulations on the silver scores great video brother stay blessed
I watch your videos quite often but it was nice to see ya hunting in PA. Im from South Williamsport PA so it was very cool to hear you talking about places I'm familiar with.
Awesome, my Mom's from Williamsport, I spent a lot of time up in Renovo and north, up into sproul state forest, cedar run, slate run etc..thanks for watching!
Yes!
It’s definitely a Cub Scout neck scarf retainer of slide. You see the scarf was yellow in color outlined in blue, and with a blue wolf. It was required to be worn with the uniform. One folded the scarf into a triangle. The largest point of the triangle contained the wolf. This part of the triangle was draped down the back of the neck, with the other two points of the triangle draped over the shoulders where they came together in front of the neck. These two points were then inserted through the wolf scarf holder to keep the scarf stable, and prevent the scarf from sliding off the neck. This holder used to be of solids brass, with the wolf of blue enamel.
Great vid , I really enjoyed it, lovely coins , definitely get back there again and find that gold ring and those gold coins , brilliant
Thanks, will do!
Awesome Shane and great finds. 🤘
Very nice finds!.... Ground is finally thawing up here in Canada and I will be out shortly!
The boyscout scarf slide info can be looked up @ Philmont BSA museum in Cimarron NM. I believe it's from 50-70's wolf pack one step up from cub scouts. I used to make lot's of silver belt buckles and stuff for them. Hope that helps. Thanks for sharing.
Sweet silver score Shane!! ✌✌
Always love the videos from your travels in the northeast states. Keep finding those treasures!
Great finds, just started the hobby this year, haven't found anything that good yet. Thanks for the adventure!
4:28 fully expected it to be a Coors can
Slayin the silvers !
Another awesome video!
Thanks for the video Shane✌️ Napa California
No. Used to be that the wolf was symbol of the Cub Scouts, period. There were no ranks that I remember, although one could earn different animal patch’s to be sewn to your uniform, like the Bobcat badge. I’m talking about the original Cub Scouts of America. And it remained this way through the early 1960s at least. Every Cub Scout wore this neck scarf retainer, or slide.
Great video thanks
I found a V Nickle in the dirt by accident by an old set of RR tracks in a wooded area years ago when I was a teenager . It was very corroded and could hardly make out what it was.
It was just under the surface of the dirt. Hmmm I wonder if there's anymore there. This was fun. thank you
Hello Shane,
I cant believe im late for your latest video... got caught watchn Dave Turins new show- Americas Backyard Gold, and watching your video, Im PUMPED to go out and find gold and treasure!

Cheers to you.
🔥💯⚒️🇺🇲✌️🔥
@13:01 - I'm not happy to say that i am old enough to have worn one of those. I joined the group young and worked my way all the way up. My rents were notable scout leaders in the SoCal back in the day.
Just found my first Barbee dime the 9th. Gotta love that old silver!
Good job Shane! 90% Silver coins!
That was a fun hunt, I'm glad your silver slump is over. Congrats on the shiny coins!
I'm in Berks county PA. BUT ME UP.. when in area. Metal detecting.. nice find
I got out detecting today for a few hours. Only junk. There was one target I spent 20 minutes trying to locate but just couldn't get it. This ever happen to you? I figure it was some small piece of aluminum amongst leaves.
Yeah it took 20 minutes to find a few of the targets in this video. The magic of video editing makes it look easy
#266 👍! BOOM 💥 61 Rosie! 34 Washington Quarter! 🎉
Hey bud, good to see ya back in PA again. I'm pretty sure the pull tabs are from yuengling cans. I think you found a bush party spot.😃👍
Missing your pup in the videos 🐶
Yeah for travel videos I leave him home in Colorado. I'll get Timber back on camera soon enough :)
Cub scout kneckerchief slide, wolf rank. And tin can is Vienna sausage
I found a bunch of old silver nickels in PA once. It was at a diner in Ambridge. The waitress opened up a roll of nickels at the cash register and cried that she couldn't give them out as change because they were all dirty and black. I asked her if I could see them. It was a roll of mostly War Nickels. I traded her two dollar bills for the roll.
Great finds I've always wanted to get a metal detector but dang they cost so much lol.
I’m so jealous, I have yet to find a silver coin here in PA! Happy Treasure Hunting 😊
Nice ⚓️🧲👍
I'm sure there are Sunbury local history facebook groups, they'd probably be a good place to ask about the button.
I don't really like metal detector videos. Ok Shane, just do it. Your channel is always worth watching
I love the variety!
Sunbury Trousers button. There's info out there. You just need to refine what your actually looking for.
Cool
Possible it could be a old cub scouts camp.
If that is a pond there maybe a swimming hole. 😊
Quick question, I remember from older videos that you went to a west coast beach for your black sand stocks. Have you ever considered Lake Superior?
Bust out the foo!!!
I know of some treasure that is similar to your finds in the sidewalk cracks. lmk I have more details
I miss PA but it's changed so many states have changed
Certain places have changed a lot the past 20 years, other places are the same as 200 years ago. It all depends where you go.
Vienna sausage tin!....
Hey Klesh, where you at up here. Would love to meet up with you while your here. Let me know
That thing with the triangle looks like a piece of an old school ink pen. The piece that would hold the nib to the barrel? Any other opinions on this one?
I live in south western PA what part of Pa are you in Klesh
NEPA
Do you know if there is any gold to be had in Maryland, I’ve just gotten in to panning , I joined the GPAA about a week ago and wasn’t sure about My state, any ideas I would be very thankful, watching your videos got me into the hobby Thank you
Check out my Maryland episode , yes there's gold in MD 👍⛏
@@Klesh awesome will do thank you
get out of my state klesh!!!! lol
😂😂
Is the quarter for sale?
What's a good metal detector that won't break the bank?
And bring a real shovel 😅
I'm using my travel kit, small coil on the detector, digging knife and pinpointer. No shovels or large coils
PEE-AY
Canslaw
I was excited to pan your one gram paydirt but someone cut the package open and had an empty envelope delivered... 😮💨
Email me will have to fix this ASAP
@Klesh I got a refund from Amazon, but if you want to send a new paydirt anyways, im open to it 😁
@@Based_Dept. ok sounds good - not sure why Amazon has so many damaged packages. We might need to work on rhat
I used to watch you all the time... until you, probably, accidentally claimed your payrons, so much more important. Too bad you lost your momentum. Maybe that's why. I stopped watching you. SORRY
When did I "claim my patrons so much more important"? Genuinely curious on why you think that.
I believe the video was for your patrons only. I think it was after you were trending. Like I said I watched your videos all the time. I do believe you were driving at the time but to remember the exact video... I really don't know which one. I promise you it's true. It might have been when you first started the fifty states series. Maybe ten states in. I personally took offense but hey, I wasn't a patron so I just decided to unsubscribe. I'll attempt to try and find it but obviously you have a great amount of videos.
Nice little spot!
That was pretty awesome Shane 👌 Just a personal thanks to you 👍 I've continued the 22 × 22 push ups challenge & add weights to my program ! It's great to have additional focus & offset the ageing process 😂
