- Aqua Teen Hunger Force! One of my favorite shows in the early 2000s. It's about a trio of fast-food items that work together to solve mysteries in an edgy adult cartoon. The brains of the group is Frylock, a floating box of fries, but Master Shake does a lot of the talking, most of it aimed at making life miserable for Meatwad, a sweet-natured ball of meat. Recurring characters include neighbor Carl, supercilious Mooninites (lunar creatures) Ignigknot and Err, and mad scientists Dr. Weird and Steve. Enjoy this Cinemassacre review!

I remember the day Adult Swim aired. Cartoon Network had all facets of animation covered, from adult animation, to anime, to classic cartoons. What an era.
It's like being 12 and clicking "Yes I am at least 18 years of age or older" on _that_ webpage you found.
I showed aqua teen to a girl from Korea I used to date and she asked "you watched this as a kid?" I was like "this was the best part of being a kid!"
I still remember when I discovered Sealab 2021 as a kid. It was the ep where they talked about if they'd put their brains in robots

Came here to say this. He is probably the most consistently funny character in any form of media I have ever seen. "It don't matter. None of this matters" is like a thesis statement for his character and the entire show.

@@sedme0 No Flash, actually. Just After Effects (with animatics created in Final Cut Pro). Flash wasn't readily available when ATHF launched. Squidbillies was done in Flash, though.
I remember when the movie was about to come out, Adult Swim made this big deal saying they were going to air it on tv. And they did, but like 2-3 seconds after it started the sound cuts out and the show shrunk down into the bottom right corner of the screen and was so small you couldn't really make out what was going on. They showed the normal AS lineup as scheduled but they did indeed show the whole film, albeit too small to see and with no sound.
I saw it that night too. thanks for reminding me!
They were so snarky with the line in that bumper after they shrunk it before continuing with the movie i sat there and watched all of the Egypt segment up until they went to Lincoln’s before i gave up and watched something else the movie was well worth getting its just one extra long episode

I love how Frylock seems like a totally normal and chill guy until he stalks a woman and murders her boyfriend to turn him into a skin suit.

Me and my friend were only ones that watched adultswim. He went to my old school and at the new school there was only one kid there that watched once it started hitting its peak later on. Only knew he watched it cause he was only kid in school to acknowledge my ATHF tshirt I wore one day haha. Venture bro’s was me and my buddies favorite show, even if we waited sooo long for new episodes it was worth it. We even made our gamer tags henchman_21 and henchman_24 haha good times!

There may or may not be adult swim has said they might make more episodes if they ever need new content but it has been unconfirmed if it will be season 12 or count as a new series but this will probably only happen when big shows like rick and morty ends which is unfortunate because we will not be alive in 100 years

I was a senior in High School when the movie came out, and no joke, my girlfriend of 3 years dumped me for going to see it. She had seen the show before and straight up told me that after graduation she didnt want to date a child anymore.
Still..... It was worth it.

I think my favorite Carl moment is when he's being serious but he's still crude and sarcastic. Shake also has a power: whenever he throws something, it explodes. But since he has no arms, this immense power cannot be appropriately utilized.

It happens with every character though. There was an adult swim bumper that said the reason this happens is because Shake cloned every item so many times that they've become super unstable and explode every time they fall.

Fun Fact: the Mooninites started as the ghosts of the abandoned E.T. Atari cartridges in New Mexico. This show is actually how I learned about it.

Watching adult swim as a child was like a fever dream. I remember getting anxiety my parents would see the 30 second warning they used to broadcast when they were switching from cartoon network to adult swim.

One of my all time favorite shows. The humor in ATHF still stands to this day too as it all comes from within the show and is essentially timeless in that matter.

😂 I remember that like it was yesterday. This is why I commented that Shake was my favorite character; because he's such an unapologetic asshole.
