This era was peak James Rolfe. Haven't seen this in maybe 5 years but after rewatching I'm reminded why I got so much into AVGN. Just feels more well written, sincere, and legit, like all his stuff from 2006-2008ish.

It seems as though I need Organic Almonds if I want any iota of nice taste and integrity, or it's garbage.
"Help! I've fallen and I can't get up!" Was a popular thing to say in the early 90s because of the Life Alert commercials, and turtles can't flip themselves over from their backs. It's like the one joke that actually works, way better than the Adam's Family lol
@@CassandraPantaristi The reference made is just a coincidence Graalock found funny. I think he condensed the two episodes into one and as you probably saw in the video they added a subtitle to the film so he put a message there to denote that.

I wish the TMNT had a Days of Future Past movie where Leo, Mikey, Raph, and Don prevent their past selves from using the scepter, and instead, the 8 of them battle Super Shredder and Krang even though Splinter may not help them.
I remember seeing it in theaters. At the part where Michelangelo climbs down from the ladder at the end of the movie, I remember thinking well I guess turtle craze is over.
19:20 in Batman vs TMNT I like how they continue the tradition of a stoic leader "making a funny" at the end of the movie, having batman say "It's Pizza Time"
this is why I love James Rolfe, because even over 10 years later. He's still making quality, consistent content, and he still cares about his older video enough to pick them up again, and give them a touch up. Truly one of the best film makers in history.
Kind of a shame that they didn't maybe hint, that the samurai villain in this movie, might've actually been his ancestor. Could even do something where the turtles messing about in the past, somehow managed to plant whatever proverbial seed that started the Foot Clan, like some pre-destined paradox thing.
James cut that VHS just like he re-cut the falling scene. Maybe that's why he became a film maker; So he can avenge his childhood by fixing this movie.

I’d love to see an Angry Movie Nerd series. Knowing that James’ true passion is film, I could see him being able to make that personal connection to the reviews like the early set of AVGN episodes. Not that I have a problem with the “newer” ones, I absolutely everything James puts out, I just think it would be cool to the the Nerd character in the rental store making videos like this.
But this was the only Angry Movie Nerf Episode which is where the Angry Video Game Nerd reviews movies and the only movie he has ever reviewed was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3.
@@LooneyCartoonMan Actually he later reviewed an obscure Rocky parody movie called Ricky 1. He did it as the nerd as a response to the Nostalgia Critic in 2008. It was part of a satirical feud they had going on back then.
I only found James about 5 years ago. Gutted that I wasn't watching a lot earlier! Still, at least I found him and his amazing content. For me, the man has to be the best yputuber of them all. He's been cr sting original and new content for 15+ years. That is incredible!
I still remember how I saw episode like 10 years ago more or less. I never though the AVGN would still be around 10 years from then and I never though when I saw that episode than I would become a big fan of his work. I'm glad both things happened and I hope it goes on for as long as it can because from the start until now James is one of the best TH-camrs in all of TH-cam and someone really important in the history of the platform. Thanks for all of the years of amazing content~

I only found James about 5 years ago. Gutted that I wasn't watching a lot earlier! Still, at least I found him and his amazing content. For me, the man has to be the best yputuber of them all. He's been cr sting original and new content for 15+ years. That is incredible!

I still remember how I saw episode like 10 years ago more or less. I never though the AVGN would still be around 10 years from then and I never though when I saw that episode than I would become a big fan of his work. I'm glad both things happened and I hope it goes on for as long as it can because from the start until now James is one of the best TH-camrs in all of TH-cam and someone really important in the history of the platform.
