An exceptional video. It's almost like being there. And I also like how you looked at these beautiful works of art towards the end. Very well done. Thank you.
Hello from England, we have it all in the uk, top fuel, funny cars, gassers, methanol you name it, the best racing here at the mo is pro mod hands down, good stuff👍
I love Pro Mod class reminds me of the Funny Cars and Pro Stocks of the 1960s and 70s when they weren't all "cookie cutter" clone bodies of today 😎 cool video 💯👍
I totally agree. I love the older chopped and channeled, "skinny", nostalgic funny cars. It seems the NHRA is getting away from the cool "Hot Wheels" look in Pro Mods, too....🤔
Can’t believe Cordova is still open. I lived in Port Byron and raced there in high school many years ago. That track has got to be the oldest track still open. Palm Beach International Raceway closes & a tiny track in a tiny town still racing. Go Rams!!!
I went to Palm Beach International Raceway two years ago on the last day before the closed. My hometown was Port Saint Lucie spent many days at the track. Cordova one of the best ones in Midwest!
Is this a NHRA event? I've noticed that most of the NHRA Pro Mods lately are starting to look more like Pro Stock cars with big blowers. I haven't been seeing the cool "Hot Wheels" exaggerated hot rod look that these cars have for a while. Is this a different association?
these Promods remind me of the “betweeners” the ones that were like Gas Rhonda out here on the west and the funny cars that came out by ‘67 or ‘68. By ‘69 everyone that wanted to be were “flip tops”.
Racing and drugs.. Both get in your blood. Both put a monkey on your back.. Only difference is that racing monkey can flat out move!! 😊👍 Excellent video. Enjoyed it all.. Thanks.
it's a art to drag racing, you must have CAT LIKE reflexes and know how to drive. if you can get that Christmas tree down you can win some CASH MONEY 💰
@@mhenderson1000we are not! We are our own group. We are a run what you brung match racing group! So some are pro mods and some are old top sportsman's cars. We run 6.80's or better in the quarter mile.
Can't get enough of those old school bodies. Especially the older Chevy models.

Hell yeah, we were there. What a great show everyone put on for the 69th Annual World Series. Been going since 1977
👍
What's hell got to do with it.
Yes to hell?
Would you choose to go to hell, if you had the choice; or have you already made it?
Just curious.
You made me read it, by typing it; so please don't be surprised that I asked.

I too spent many Saturdays at Cordova in the 1970's. I had a green 70 Dodge Coronet 440. Wonderful memories growing up in the Quad Cities.

The Plane Insane II is a real eye catcher. Be something to see when he gets it to hook.

Great audio!
Is that Joe Zolper from Garage Squad in the gray Daytona?
Yep
Great video. I would've loved to have seen the time for that green Couger if the driver had ever got it to come out the hole straight.
Enjoyed!!!
Thanks!

A lot of winning is hitting the green light perfectly
How do you make a pro mod that slow, asking for a friend.
All noise and no go.... wannabe's
Im so excited for EV fans, can't wait to hear the cars go.
" Whoosh " as they go by...lol
lol
1/4 mile ?
Quarter mile race
Great video, I crewed for the GXP, the World Series was pretty cool 😎
Very cool!
04:12 when the green can finally did catch traction. Wow it would have won if it took it at the start
awesome
I agree!
Cordova IS NOT CHICAGO! And thank God for it.
A lot of dirt is blown into the air.
Are these "Dailey drivers? Do they get good gas mileage?"😊😄
LOL
I'm already jealous...m
😎😎😎
👍
😲 wow
I was tired of those drag and Drive car shows
Yeah well I can understand that but if you had one wouldn't you like to have some fun and show it off as well???
If you're tired of em, easy fix. Change the channel
sure wished you would have stayed off the zoom
All noise and no go... wannabe pro mods
2:30. Joe Zoller from TV.
These are not Pro Mods. This is the Mid West Top Sportsman association running
You are wrong
Chicago Wise Guys are Top Sportsman or race under Midwest Top Sportsman racing Association.
There was some tremendous horse power at that race track!$$$$$$$$$$
