Hello there, I dont know what I clicked, but this genre of music still poping in my reccomend section in YT. Really like it, maybe because HOURS spend in Gran Turismo tuning section heh ( "from the east" anyone? :) ) I'm wondering- are these artists (TWWLI, GORE etc) are japanese, or its kind of Ａｅｓｔｈｅｔｉｃ ? I mean every album contains kanji or kata/hira, I've tried years ago to translate some to japanese and nothing was correct. So I thougt that these guys must be japanese, or someone doing this as outsource....
This music is ok. To be honest it's not bad, but it's not really impressive in any technical or creative way. Having said that, what I think history is going to look back negatively on is the cringe practice of using Japanese lettering for no other reason than you think it looks cool. That is really really cringe. It's also cultural appropriation, but mainly it's just lame as fuck.
