The algorithm has blessed me yet again.
😂The algorithm keeps blessing me too. And it looks like no end to the musical joy it keeps suggesting us, magical recording the space tunes.
And me
me too
It’s the only algorithm I care for ❤️
Thank the heavens for the algorithm!
She’s Jamaican Belgian and makes experimental atmospheric jazz in London, and she plays the harp . Very cool
@guinnessforbreakfast are you high?
Beautiful
Why arent you?
awesome!
does she play live in London? Might go one day
she composes music from studies on frequency and geometry. thats how you use science in a different way with feelings to obtain beautiful things like this.
Influenced very heavily by Alice Coltrane whom was pioneering these techniques mixed with African music in the 70's onward.
having orgasm from hearing this... must follow up.
It’s called binaural beats it effects brainwaves based on our understanding of a natural geometric visuals of vibrations
@@kenneththompson8933 Alice Coltrane is amazing!!
@@austinhart5310 the way in which our brain even processes audio frequencies of different wavelengths is pretty interesting. Definitely could understand that if you understood how vibrations affect our biology you could come up with some pretty interesting scenarios
Had a whole emotional breakthrough to this. So healing to say the least. Thank you Nala.
Same. Great for empty time
The album cover is absolutely gorgeous. Whoever made the calligraphy name deserves credit.
sure its on there some where

oh wow i didnt even realise it was calligraphy til i read this. thats absolutely beautiful
Agreed, very Japanese style.
As a musician, finding this feels like an angel came to take my hand to lead me to creating again.
And your comment has done the same for me 💓

Agreed dis shit flame cuz

This is one of the most beautiful albums EVER!!!!!! Thank you so much for believing in yourself ❤
I was deep cleaning my room today and throwing out old stuff while I had this playing in the background, the last song on the album(space 8.44.22) started playing right as I opened my "childhood memories" box. Was bawling my eyes out within a few minutes lol
Wow ….. 🎵🎶🩵

I wish her a long, long life to produce many more of this piece of art.
It's like floating in a pool of liquid sunlight, it's like slow jazz and ambient music had a beautiful baby. I just can't get enough of this. I usually don't listen to ambient albums all the way through but this one is special.
it's like a shot of espresso it's like being bathed in sunlight its like
you put it so good. floating in a pool of liquid sunshine, exactly
What a description 👏 👌 🤝😘
Why not? Why don’t u? Listen? Maybe one day
Welcome to the lofi life, brother
I heard 0.2 seconds of this and already love it.
Me too! and the rest did not disappoint either!
I need a vinyl of this album, it deserves to be on a vinyl
It is on vinyl
@@kanebanner My friend Josen bought it on vinyl
you dont say 'a vinyl' you just say vinyl
@@LAMEHERC1 in latin language (french and italian at least) we say "a vinyl" so maybe it's a small translation mistake
Thanks lad! I need vinyl of this album. I need vinyl.
healing musical medicine for this troubled world.
Like an intergalactic bowl of warm chicken soup for the soul.
A lot of people who play synthesizer are inspired by acid or edm, New Order or Brian Eno, but...
This is the kind of synthesizer music that inspires me. 😊
My name is Nala…. I guess I was blessed to find this as inspiration as I’m a musician as well ❤
Damn its 2 AM and I was listening to banging breakbeat techno and now this just came on to tickle my ears... love it
lol same, I was deep in heavy dark DnB and this is such a breath of fresh air.
Breakfast techno is the sh*t, this is the perfect balance to mellow out to after a meal ☺
you guys should look into the iterations of dnb that dabble with soulful samples. ghostwhip comes to mind. touch me all night long

3Am nd it hits really good 🫠😍
This makes me feel like I have the potential to creat something enigmatic.
you can
No everyone is wondering and this comment became something enigmatic
I listen to this album almost every time I need to sit with myself. Either to write or just to meditate, it’s otherworldly and just so beautiful. Thank you Nala for creating a masterpiece 🙏🏾
I heard Space 1 on a Japanese radio this morning. I love it !
Wow their radio must be different than ours lol 💖
as soon as you hear good music you can tell you're going to like it within the first minute
Very true
takes me back to the 70's jazz funk/fusion vibe - but with its own futurist twist - beautiful
This music helped me transcend.
Would you like something else to get you transcending? I don't disappoint on recommendations.

i could fr listen to space 8 on loop forever. that little loop with all the delay on it so awesome
One of my favorite albums right now. I get similar vibes from Pharoah Sanders, Hailey Niswanger and her group MAE.SUN and Coltrane too. SO good.
thank you for sharing. I need more!
Yes!! Hailey is incredible, glad to see others spreading the word
Been following Hailey Niswanger's stuff online for a while now, I'm really excited to see her newest project Ohma live in a couple of weeks

This was so beautiful! A gift from reality. Sun is shining through my window: trains are passing and two dogs were furiously chasing a ball. People on bicycles. and me doing yoga on my 5th floor. Good Morning. A gift.
This album is so beautiful. What a piece of creation to make at just 27 years old. When in-spirit-ation comes through, it's like wow. Sending this album to my brother in heaven.
I believe he may of sent it to you

maybe the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard
Utterly beautiful. I was reading this poem by Sharon Page when it came onto my You Tube playlist of its own accord:
Past Six and Counting (by Sharon Page)
The usual responses to the usual queries
are getting harder and harder to believe in, and to say.
So when you came along and asked the polite question,
I wanted to tell you: Friend,
I'm courting disaster six ways from Sunday.
But I would've had to risk that, in your trusty way,
you might've asked: which six?
and I would've had to count all the time and luck
I'm living on - borrowed, stolen, inevitably
to be begged. More than before, I'm more
than I appear, and less. You see, I've grown afraid
of this chicanery risen round me like a hedge
I could either burn for fuel, or choke on.
I've been practicing prestidigitation, quickening faster
even than weeds in March, when on an especially
brave day, I went out and knelt
and was humbled by the season's looming harvest.
It's all grown deep, the roots long past my grasp.
Thinning those cotyledons, each in competition,
I no longer could be sure what it was
I'd meant to plant that little time ago.
But as for the paths I pave to hell,
I know each scavenged moment,
the ways I skim off the cream
and milk the wages and credit offered me.
Don't bother asking where I'm headed,
for I'd try to tell you if I could.
The job on salary, the business on pluck,
these studies, that homework, projects shouldered
for the common good - can there be a place for art?
Friendship? And what of love or - worse yet - loves?
It's gone past six already;
something's got to give.
-I hear all of the universe in your music. 🫶🏼🌌
I cannot thank you enough, Nala.
This is literally one of the best albums I've heard this year. It's gorgeous!
Wow. I WAS listening to the Pharaoh Sanders "Floating Points" album, and YT moved over to this when I wasn't looking. Seamless. Great listen and very happy with this discovery!
Really great album, I come back to it a lot! Beautiful sounds!
9 is the number of this album. A number that represents the transition period between the end and a new beginning. A period where we are being prepared for a new chapter. The period where we finally learned something from our personal dilemmas. That's what happened to me after listening to this album for the first time, this piece of music reminded me that I needed to transition into a new state of mind. It came to me at the right time, at the time when I started to lose control of myself. What's interesting is that Nala said in the Pitchfork interview that she tweaked the synths' frequency to 432hz because of the calming effect it gives, the album's title is Space 1.8, and the duration of the project is 44 mins and 19 seconds long. I don't know if that was intentional but once you sum all those numbers and reduce it to one digit, it will equate to 9. A powerful number. Space 1.8 is a powerful album, indeed.
An excellent analysis of this great album. Your comments make perfect sense when listening to the soundscapes & production process involved.🌍🙏 Greetings from the UK
That last track is 10/10
Not to be chaotic but this reminds me of Mr Rogers, especially when he'd show us behind the scenes when things were made. Same instruments and calming feelings, truly magical 💓
Space 8.44:22 is the most beautiful song I've heard since Bjork's All Is Full of Love, back been playing up lately and this gives me peace in the moment so thank you Nala.
Proof that humans can do things right.
The laughs when it ends it's so healing.
After listening to Promises by Floating Points and Pharoah Sanders, I searched continuously for an album that sounded similar, if not, better.
Coming across this album, it feels like I'm discovering music for the first time, as Space 1.8 is an album that doesn't compare to anything else I have heard before.
I'm really excited to see what Nala Sinephro releases in the future.
That's the connection I made too. Love this.

What a tripp. This albums just summons your serotonin with a dash of dopamine. Jesus Christ 🙌🔥🔥🔥
The language may be a bit extreme here, tho.
Space 5 has opened my eyes
Space 8 is stunning. Make music not war.
Honestly, it sent me from sadness, awareness, solitude, and now numbing joy...
On Space 4 I can hear Robert Glasper-type chord sequences. Gorgeous.
That's the shit I'm looking for! MODERN jazz!
A bit tired (Covid ten days ago, got back to work, nice, but tiring...). I spent a nice moment with my nice but overly joyful kids, but then I got really tired... So I went to my room and just took randomly the advice of TH-cam Algorithm, mainly because of the nice thumbnail... What a great album. It's quite intricate but still warm and comforting. Exactly what I needed right now. Actually the jazzy harp has a hint of Alice Coltrane's music. And the tracks are so various but still coherent.
Thank you very much to share your music with us (and at the first place, thank you for making it !)
A friend sent this to me last night, and I have already listened to it 4 times.
This is a great album, thank you.
Here, take a cookie

Reminds me of one of my favorite albums of all-time, The Pavilion of Dreams, by Harold Budd. Really nice work!
Oh i love that album, too!!! We're so blessed with wonderful music. ❤
OMG! , I'M LISTENING TO IT FOR THE FIRST TIME, HIGH AND IT'S CRAZY, TRANSCENDENT, I DON'T KNOW OWN TO DEFINE IT BUT IT'S BIG, BIG NALA.
this has to be one of the best albums of the year and one of the most innovative and gorgeous ambient/jazz albums ever. the very first ambient album that made an almost 20 minute song feel so progressive and interesting and it just never gets boring! this is by far one of my new favorite albums ever, like only a spot or two behind pet sounds.
the best album of 2021. i fall in love instantly. it makes me communicate with my inner self, with my sensuality. it’s like a bad and a good trip at the same time, like smoking a dense fog of happiness. this radiates serenity and chaos. so happy i found this album.
I second that emotion...because I was going to say the same thing!💯
I'm got the exact opposite, listening to this has made me feel quite depressed. And that's not a judgment on the quality of the music at all - it's clearly excellent music - but the same sounds can affect people differently I guess.

Coming from a Dorothy Ashby album, that makes sense! Superb!!!
I dunno how to describe this album. It has an edgy, electronic sound with intense drums. I’m used to hearing it from legends like Solange. It makes me feel like I’m in space (my own world with weird, unique looking creatures). This is a work of art ✨

Excellent album. Mature, riche et diversifié. I keep coming back to it, which is always a good sign! Alice Coltrane would love this!
