I remember waking up at 6:00 AM on a Saturday to this album being released. In an hour, I had to meet up with my taekwondo friends and coaches to go to the Liberty ski resort in Pennsylvania. I got a message from Bandcamp as I woke up that it released and decided to listen to it on the way to the resort. That ride really hit different as if I was transcending reality. I love vaporwave...
Really nice stuff. Had to listen through it again today. There's something on this that kinda converges nostalgia with uncanny valley into a new flavor. It's like music from a robot that understands love.
I'm so happy you brought the synth vocals back! They add another layer of waywardness to the music that adds so much to feel like the longing of nostalgia, in my opinion. I loved it in Reflections, and it's implemented in the same way here! It's especially divine in 240p!
