Beautiful, stunning, inspiring, are just some of the words that come to mind. Watching videos like this gets my crafty mind flowing with ideas! Thank you so much for sharing your amazing creations with us David. ❤️
I thought when you had finished the piece it looked fantastic but when I saw the added copper red, the piece just blew me away I wasn't expecting that, seriously stunning. Thankyou for the share and I have subscribed. :)
Holy Batman David !! I must have watched this 5x & I still can not figure out when you put down that orange/yellow/gold/glow part. You are a Magician, that is the only explanation !
Oh, thank you so much! Thought I was downright nuts. (big sigh of relief). Gosh, that pour is "The Bomb" !!! If I can ever get a tenth as good as you, I would be very happy. That copper red mica is beautiful. I'll shut up now.
i have just started having a go at acrylic pours, but im loving the glossy effect of the resin, may have to give it a crack, your work is stunning by the way, i have subscribed and look forward to checking out your other stuff
just gorgeous, you make it look so easy. I have my resin here staring me down. It looks so intimidating. One question...what do you pour on on layer two that gives you the huge cells?
David, I really like the cryptic in black with the blues. We're you spraying or dropping silicone on top of the acrylic layer to get cells? Thanx for sharing...it's beautiful😎😎😎
Hi David, I've been doing flow art with acrylics and oil pains on canvas. I've experimented with epoxy and have really fallen in love with the medium. I find your artwork inspirational and creative. I wanted to ask you what panels you use? and what you use as a primed base? With flow art pouring I find canvas panels tend to bow or warp. I'm looking for something relatively inexpensive. As an add on, I also do airbrushing and have found that and airbrush with no paint attached (so just using the air) really helps in moving the paint or epoxy with finer/great detail more so than a heat gun or blow dryer - if you wanna try it out.
CultureSync TV I use 1/2" MDF panels primed with black paint and primer in one from home depot. the panels come in 4x8 sheets but you can have the cut them into the exact sizes you need on their sheet saw.
Gosh you do incredible work! With your layering in this particular piece how many hours or days between coats of resin did you wait? You are very accommodating in your responses - thank you for sharing your expertise :)
This is absolutely beautiful. I am moving into resin pouring and was specifically searching for techniques in layering pours to add dimension and came across this video. I am wondering, how long do you let the resin set between pours? I am guessing it has to be fully set but was curious if i was making an assumption.
Amelia Murphy thanks for watching. It doesn't have to be fully cured but it should be tack free so you don't indent the first layer with the weight of the new resin when it is first poured. This can leave visible marks
Hi, very nice work !!!, May I ask what do is in the liquid that you pour at the begining of the 2nd layer ? did you use silicone or alcohol in any of your colors ?
David Stein Hey sorry to ask twice, did you use alcohol in all the colors or just in the spray of the beginning of the second layer?, your are inspire me a lot !
No I didnt use alcohol in all the colors. You can do that though and it will give you a little more movement as the resin self levels for a different effect. To be honest, a lot of what I do and what I have learned over time is just from trying new things and seeing what happens. There arent a lot of rules in resin art that cant be broken!
This is Beautiful... but WHY did you speed this up??? It loses something when it is sped up that fast... even when I slow it down, its just not the same.
Your art is amazing. I just love it. How do you use oil paints in your resin art? I have never heard of them being used this way before. What do you mix them with ?
Thanks Shelley. I use black oil paint and mix it with the clear reain and use that as the base color. I should be coming out with some detailed tutorials soon.
Pam Rosenthal you just have to play with it a little bit. I dont have a ratio that I use. different amoumts will give you different effects. Thanks for watching!

LOL. That Happened off camera. I thought I was done...but then I wasn't! It is a copper red mica pigment that I use.

Your Welcome!
Love your work.
Thanks Robyn. God bless you.
Thanks for replying so fast. Love your art. Guess I'm going to have to wing the spray bottle!!!!
no problem. i know some people do 1 ounce by weight per 16 oz of alcohol. you could try that as a starting point make adjustments as needed. Have fun!
Gorgeous. I really love it. Do you work on canvas or piece of wood ?
Thank you very much for sharing. Nicky from France 😊
Thankyou! I work on MDF panel which is a composite wood.
Gosh you do incredible work! With your layering in this particular piece how many hours or days between coats of resin did you wait? You are very accommodating in your responses - thank you for sharing your expertise :)
WAHM L Thanks for watching. Its not really crucial how long you wait. Yiu just have to make sure the previous layer is dry to the touch.

Your work is so beautiful. I'm speechless. Can I try this in a Cotton Canvas? Or is the resin to heavy for a Canvas?
A.B Taner I've not done it with cotton but i know some artists do. If you go to Home Depot you can get 1/2" MDF and they will cut it to size for you.
Love your work on that first video David but I can't make heads or tails of this its Georgous when your done though omg!!!!! Can u slow down????!!!!!!
YES... Slow it down...
Sweet! Nice Job
Thanks Tim.
Gorgeous!
Where did the orange come from? All of a sudden it was there?
Shared it!!!!! Love it David!!!!
