Do you know of a contractor in the Kansas City metropolitan area? My driveway has a 3/4 inch thick small stone overlay that was applied 20+ years ago to cover an improperly finished surface. It is breaking up and seperating from the concrete below. There are no cracks or settlement of the concrete below. I could not find a contractor that would quote an overlay. What is your surface preparation to get a good bond to the existing surface.

You mentioned you used MDF. I didn't think that could be used outside? I'm building an outdoor kitchen and looking for a solution. I was maybe going to pour concrete but I like this idea much better.

I have an outdoor kitchen in Foley, AL that I would love to do an epoxy countertop, however, it is totally exposed to the elements. It’s uncovered, so subject to sun, rain, cold temps, etc. Would this system work in this type of situation if extra steps were taken to completely water lock the MDF? Other epoxy companies have not recommended in this application.

How did you keep the copper base from running down the sides?

Looks superb but that hasn't got a polyurethane top coat on it has it? So without will scratch and mark easily. Once you use the gloss top polyurethane coat it mattes the high sheen down which is less appealing. Stunning job though.
