- In this video I review MEM by the house of Bogue, one of the best perfumes of the last decade, created by Antonio Gardoni. This is a very interesting take on the classic Oriental Fougere genre. A mesmerizing experience to be savoured by the real afficionados. This perfume is a must for every colector.

Daaamn this is a masterpiece of review. I actually have a little 0.5 sample of MeM and Douleur!, and needless to say, I'm hooked with Gardoni's deep, dense style. Totally in awe with MeM and couldn't agree more with what you stated in your review brother. Cheers from Mexico City 🤙🏼

Love MEM its amazing. Gendering in perfume mostly happened in the 60/70s when advertising & companies were trying to sell more perfume to men. 100 years ago people wore what they wore because they liked it.

I like all of this except the gendering near the end. People should assess & wear perfumes based on how they feel about them, not advertising campaigns or baseless social bias. This is a completely unisex fragrance (in fact, really, all fragrances are unisex; smells are not inherently tied to certain genders). I find it slightly off-putting to say "this is for a confident man who knows what he wants" -- why not "this is for a confident person who knows what they want"? Otherwise this is a great review!
Yes I have this and MAAI. Out of my 45 frags some of which I have not fully explored this is no 1 at the moment. That is in competition with a few Bortnikoffs and Are I own.

It's a special perfume, I would definitely put it up there with some of Bortnkifoff s creations but if you consider the price difference, there is no competition ;) MAAI is splendid as well
I LOVE LOVE MAAI a true masterpiece by Antonio would you say that Brilliantly British by Penhaligon's is a fougere? I own that one & I love it but pretty sure it's on a completely different level to Mem ie alot more simple

Tried it, bought it and sold it lol the first impression was that of good masculine but after a few wearings I just didn't find anything in it that made me want to go back to it, its one of those derivative perfumes that i couldn't connect with.. and by the way it has NOTHING in common with Aventus ;)
I did try sample of mem and for some reason it smelled like an old building...not particularly pleasant...perhaps im missing something or it may get better with more wear...
Do you also get that old building vibe?
The first time I tried it I was not particularly fond of it. It gets better with more wearings, now I consider it a masterpiece ;) I get a retro vibe from it, like a grand concert at the opera
