My Holosun is clean. I got the HE (Elite) 407c x2 2moa Green from Optics Planet on sale for $200. Mine came with 3 sets of screws & the battery was pre-installed. I have a G19X & bought the FDE $179 Dagger SW4 GatorMouth cut, RMR milled, complete Slide for my G19X lower. Makes a ton of difference, my trigger is better & zero slop or play between the upper & lower. Just swap out the Backplates & she'll run. Not sure what the difference is between the HE & HS models of Holosun besides the HE has the traditional Shake A Wake, Auto dimming & Brightness, drain holes for water & I have no idea what else this dot does. I haven't heard any reviewer talking about the HS & HE models. It was just cheaper than the Vortex & fit my RMR Cut Slide perfectly. 🤟
I’m not familiar with regular vs elite. I see some sites denote that the elite is saved for either green dots and/or titanium housing. Thanks for the info! It’s something we’ll look into!
Great video, I noticed your P365XL has a Tactical Rail installed, what type of holster do you use with the tactical rail installed and who did you get it from, thank you.
Now you've had some time with it, how do you like it? I took in a well customized 365XL which came with a Zero mounted. I picked up a 507K X2 GR to put on it, but haven't done it yet. Curious if the 6moa of the 407k is useful. I haven't used anything larger than 3moa myself.
To be honest. I don’t mind the 6 MOA, but after buying an SRO with a 2.5, I think the 3 MOA may be the better way to go. Nothing against the 6, but the advantage in target acquisition hasn’t been as significant as I anticipated by the larger dot. Thats on the 407k anyway. I can’t speak for the 507 reticle on the smaller optic.
Just got mine on Saturday. Installed it last night and the dot is high-center. Tried to adjust it and it only slightly moved downward. One-click at a time and virtually no movement. What am I doing wrong? I have it on my Shield Plus.
If you can, I’d take it to the range and get it on the bench to see. It’s going to be difficult to tell for sure without getting some rounds through it to test.
How is that Tac App rail holding up? See any movement? Got the same setup but in red (for my eyes, the red dot then transition if needed to the green front sight worked well for me). Got the NRA version, peanut butter Sig. So, who makes that grip tape? Talon? Nice content and well spoken review.
@@yarbroughphillip I did some digging and im pretty sure the right screws for the sight are 6-32 x 7/16 machine screw's Im going to the hardware store to confirm later today!
I dug this up from sig’s website. Threads should be consist. Length I’m not quite sure how the Romeo Zero compares to the 407k. Hope this helps! “ROMEOZero mounting screw kit for P365X or P365XL Specs: M3 x .5 x 12, steel flathead, black oxide” www.sigsauer.com/romeozero-mounting-screw-kit-p365x-or-p365xl.html
Just a small precision screwdriver and a set of small torx bits! I forget the exact but I think it’s a T6 or T8 but I can’t say for sure. You can buy a small set for a great price at Lowe’s or Home Depot.
It was a Kobalt set I got from Lowe’s. I can’t remember the exact model. I’ve had good luck with sets from Kobalt and Craftsman for small precision driver sets. However, I’ve stripped a lot of Wheeler bits for their torque wrench. Would definitely not recommend their bits, even though the FAT Wrench is great.
I believe they typically run $240 for the green dot and I got it for 10% off. End of the day it was around the same price as the red dot 407k: $220 or so!
I just bought a 407k Holosun GR green dot. Installing on my revolver. It's too much play ▶️ for my taste❗For $244.56 this isn't acceptable as far as I'm concerned❗I'm going to a gun smith in the morning, to find out if I didn't install it right❓ If I did and it has to be modified ❓I'm sending it back to Amazon 💯
I wonder if the revolver screw threads were long enough to accommodate the screws. If it had too much play that would be the first thing I would guess is to look at the screws and how secure they were. Most slide mounted optics can use longer screws, but the revolver may not be able to.
@@RangeDay As I mentioned I went to a gun smith. He said the screws would have to be cut 💯. But the base plate was another issue. Regardless the front of optic didn't seat flush anyway. So when I got 🏡 I called 🤙 Taurus and told the rep my issue. She looked it up on her computer 💻. And said the optic for the 605 revolver is a HS407K 💯. I bought the wrong one. I shipped the gun back to Taurus. I got a call 🤙 from Taurus and they fitted a HS407K, optic to my gun. I purchased that optic online from there website. They will put it on and ship 🚢 it back to me 😊
It doesn’t bother me a bit! I haven’t had any issues with sight picture or mixing dots. When you focus on the dot it focuses more on the plane with your target instead of your front sight so you really don’t notice it!
Just bought a sig p365x with the ROMEO ZERO. Total garbage! Up/down adjustment knob does not move the dot at all. So impossible to zero in other words and useless to me.
We had a similar issue with a friend of ours. Not my personal Romeo Zero, but we did experience the same thing. With no indicators for position, AND no clicks to measure adjustment, it’s a complete nightmare.
Same! It’s definitely an entry level price for red dots but you get what you pay for! Sig just came out with a new Romeo X I believe, it looks amazing. Aluminum housing, integrated rear night irons, adjustable buttons you can actually use, and has their shake awake tech, but I wanna say it’s close to 400… but so far torture tests and reviews are very positive
One of my best friends just switched over to that same dot. He's pretty pumped about it 👌
We think it’s a pretty great dot. And I’ve got a hunch he will too. 😎

I have the 507k Holosun on both of my Sigs they are awesome.
Agreed. I’ve had no complaints on my 407k since install!
Great video, I noticed your P365XL has a Tactical Rail installed, what type of holster do you use with the tactical rail installed and who did you get it from, thank you.
McKinatec Holsters! The wait time is long, but they accommodate the Tactical Development P365 Rail!
@@RangeDay Thank you so much, it has been extremely hard for me to find a holster to fit my 365 with Tactical rail, thanks again!

Never had any problems out of the Tac Dev rail! Loctite kept it locked on just fine.
Does anyone know the specs of the screws that are included? I would like to buy some backups but the website doesn’t give information :(

What ammo are you using that’s fully pointed, by the way nice video, I use the 407k
That was Fort Scott TUI!
Looking to get one of these. I have a 365 x macro tacops. Is it the same cut and will it take the 407k direct mount?
Yes! 407k should direct mount straight to the slide. Shares the same mount as the Romeo Zero and Shield RMSc.
Does the HE407k fit on a Springfield HellCat Pro ? If so what adapter plate do I need ?
I’m not familiar with the HellCat platform. I’d send an email to Springfield and check!
So you didn't need to add the plactic plates to install it.
Nice install
Thank you! Appreciate your feedback!
@@RangeDay BTW just purchased the green 407 based on your review.
Fantastic
The Holosun 407k... is is a Holographic or Reflex... Or both 🤔?
Just a regular reflex! No holographic tech in there!
What tool did you use for the initial screw on the Romeo zero

Make sure you don’t strip the screws, that little tool isn’t the greatest. So tiny
