I'd like to add one thing to the pattern making process: do not wrap one single strip of tape all the way around your leg. You will end up making it too tight, which is not only extremely uncofortable but it also pushes whatever chub you have in your limb up or down, messing up your shape. For a snug but comfortable fit I like to put the tape on vertically instead of horizontally, though kamui's method of taping two pieces horizontally seems to work too.
Just to put my reaction into perspective, the thumb nail made these look like tights. I'm completely blown away by the effort put into these. Like, I know cosplay really is a time-exhaustive labor of love, but it's another thing all together to see how much skill is put into this.
For people that don't have the airbrush system, you can also use regular chrome silver spraypaint. And instead of the black oil color you can also use acrylic paint.
I'm making my very first cosplay build and I'm learning everything from your videos and books! Thank you so much for putting the effort in to share all of this!
Thank you for making tutorials on youtube as well as making the books for people to purchase! It's great to be able to see how you go through the process visually as well as reading about it!
I have been inspired by your extroinary energy on all of your video tutorial, so I purchased lots of your designs book, thanks for the amazing talent, both of you and korggies, fun to watching your video, I think both of you are extremely talented,. Thanks.
My friend had ordered your books for me for my birthday. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the sweet birthday message in the books and for the yummy gummy bears. :DDDD Im so excited to try out your tips and tricks from your book!!
i really like this process style of video. of course, i really love your tutorials as well, but it's really helpful to see the order in which you do your pieces. :) can't wait for the next one.
I was very excited with Symmetra cosplay, but I screamed when I saw this video. You're producing all my favourite things! I play WHM on FFXIV. Maybe when I find a glam I like, I'll think of cosplaying her too ^_^ Such a great example! It makes me want to try! Thank you! Don't tell me you're going to Fanfest aaaah!
Yay Miq'ote!!! My gril is basically the same as you cutie except with dark blue skin and a bow and arrow (I play as a Bard!!!). Another wonderful video, you're so much fun to watch and your boots look FABULOUS!!! I swear one day I will make a cosplay...one day!!!!
You should make a "Sewing basics" book :) I love cosplaying and making armor with worbla or EVA foam, but I barely know how to sew. Would definitely buy that book!
This was cool I was just wondering if you left an inch on the sides to make room for sowing and also I'd love to see how you made the slip on shoe stuff on your Overwatch Symnrtra cosplay. Love your tutorials!!!
Hi there! I love your videos! Tell Benny he did a fabulous job. Give your Corgis a good rub on the tummy too for being so cute. You really know how to do your craft so we'll. If I feel sad or I don't feel good I just watch one of your videos and it perks me up. Thank you. Keep up the great work. God bless.
can you please tell me if the black fabric up the back of your boots was of a stretchy material like what you have used in some of your other tutorials [a legging type fabric] or was it also a faux leather fabric.
Hello! I bought some of your books and I will be using them to make a Ronin Warrior cosplay for my husband. What kind of primer did you use that is able to be sanded? And do you have a preferred brand of contact cement? Thank you so much!
I'll be trying out boot covers soon, but mine will have to be completely closed, out of faux leather (I will be using a zipper of course!). Do you have any tips for making covers like that? Do I use the same method or will I be too restricted in movement? It's for Kitana's tournament skin from MKX!
Super gutes Tutorial.
Hi Kamui :) I was wondering if even with the boning, did your boots end up falling during photoshoots or cons? I'll be working on Dehya from Genshin Impact soon and was considering using that technique on the thigh high boots instead of using tights :) Thank you!
Kommt ganz drauf an welchen Stoff du benutzt.
How do you tidy up the area where you glue the fabric near the sole? 2:03 The edges there seem messy but at the end of the video there's a band around it
I would like to ask what glue do you recommend for the boot cover in general? Is there a particular brand you like to use? :) I am planing my first boot covers

+Peachy and the Smile Good tip! Yes I always try to use very small strips
You can actually see that the tape is pretty loose
Just to put my reaction into perspective, the thumb nail made these look like tights. I'm completely blown away by the effort put into these. Like, I know cosplay really is a time-exhaustive labor of love, but it's another thing all together to see how much skill is put into this.

Oh dang, adding the plastic bones inside is super smart??? I'm totally trying that.

i really like this process style of video. of course, i really love your tutorials as well, but it's really helpful to see the order in which you do your pieces. :) can't wait for the next one.

I just want to say you have an incredible amount of talent, I'm in awe :) I really want to take these tutorials and make an outfit of my own :D
It's not really talent. I've just been doing it for a long time.
I was very excited with Symmetra cosplay, but I screamed when I saw this video. You're producing all my favourite things! I play WHM on FFXIV. @@yongyea4147 that's a shitty thing to suggest in the comments of a creator who relies on selling their books to live.

Which airbrush machine do you use? How about a tutorial what kind of equipment you need, for doing cosplays?
Check my Sombra Gun Painting video for airbrush tips!
Does the boot cover also work with Foam? I want to cover pony heels with EVA Foam with magnets. I want to cover my boots and decover them again.
Amazing!!

Does it also work for heel shoes? I bought a non elastic leather fabric and I was wondering if the result would be nice as well
You are awesome!!! 😁 😁
Wo hast du das "Leder" denn her ?
Could you cover how to make resin deer hooves?btw love your channel supper easy to follow.
Check out Lightning Cosplay 'schannel
The ending though 😝
Is that ok to use acrylic paint for adding contrast to fabric ? 🤔 Or i should use fabric paint ?
I'm curious if this would work with heels....? PS LOVE your vids, they make me wanna cosplay sooo bad!!!
Hi Kamui :) I was wondering if even with the boning, did your boots end up falling during photoshoots or cons? I'll be working on Dehya from Genshin Impact soon and was considering using that technique on the thigh high boots instead of using tights :) Thank you!
The boots look great, especially with all the detail work. How comfortable were these boots to wear?
They were actually super comfortable!
