My husband was outside working a lot later than normal. I rang him to see of he was okay. He was trying to fix a cattle trough. He was being majorly hindered by our cows surrounding him and licking him all over. He was covered in slobber when he came in. 😂😂😂. Cows are very affectionate

i live in a rural place too, and there is a farm near me with big land with cows in it, one day i just went to fish near the river to these cows, ofcourse these cows all came around me, but they didnt do anything to me, even they didnt know me, the thing is the cows are not aggressive to anybody. Maybe except bulls, but if you dont scare them or annoy them they shouldnt do anything to you either.

Totally! My parents are farmers and we had cattle at the farm, not many, just two or three at a time. Each cow had her own name and each responded to its name. And each cow had her own personality. Rosita, the matriarch of the clan was very calm, responsible, and motherly. One of her daughters took after her, while another was the wild child. And also, when one of them had a baby, they all collectively took care of it. Just as a good grandma or aunty would. Where we lived, small farmers could choose to take their cattle daily to a common pasture and hired a single man to take care of all of them. My parents cows usually hang out together there, but also had one other cow best friend. It always annoys me when people say cows should be let to roam freely. Cows are no longer wild animals. They need a lot of care and have a lot of affection for their owners. Cows can also be very stubborn. You can't get one single drop of milk out of them if they don't want it, because they can voluntarily control the release of their milk supply.
Cows are very curious. I had a pet rabbit get out and the cows found him first. I knew where he was because they had him surrounded checking him out. Poor bunny came home cow licked all over. 😂

I grew up on a small ranch. Can confirm cows are super gentle. We wore flip flops around them all the time. If they accidentally stepped on your foot they’d immediately shift their weight and let up.
He also takes care of their trapped farts (which can be fatal), their hooves which get nasty abscesses, helps them deliver their calves, makes sure they don't have ticks etc... Farming is hard!

The ladies making smaller copies of themselves would get the spot they liked and return to it every year. All we had to do was let them out to eat and exercise, and when they were done they'd go back inside.

Cows are one of the most mature and understanding animals. I have no issues with people who eat non-veg but I will only say when we know that there is a being with similar biology and emotions we need to understand their pain better. So eat meat or whatever but try to control the liking of variety and send their souls to heaven respectfully. If you can't stop eating non-veg then atleast don't slaughter them like madness. Let them leave peacefully and pray they come next time as a better species because they sacrificed their body for you
I used to help my mom boyfriend take care the cows before he passed every morning they were right by the on time for breakfast lunch and dinner and if we was out there cleaning the fields they was right I was like you guys just going to follow me everywhere they started mooing 😂😂 I loved it used to make my day

That is true! On a visit to relatives in the country, I took a good book and found a comfy spot next to a fence in their pasture. Don’t be so sure. I run a 2400 head hog confined feeding operation. The hogs love me better than my cows that are out on pasture. Sure they annoy the crap out of me sometimes, but it’s just because their doing what pigs do, being curious. I haven’t had many cows let me give them scratches but the hogs don’t mind even though they have a plenty of room to get away from me if they want.

Thia happened to me when I was with my dad at the hospital. A mother hen and her chicks, because I started feeding them, they soon began coming very close to me. Soon, they were eating from my hand. Was just so lovely. Miss them 😢

Reminds me of my Grandma. When she would go get veggies from her garden she’d take the time to set her basket down and go to the fence separating her property from her neighbors. They raised cows. One of the sweetest things I loved to see is when they saw her they would come running because they knew they would get hugs and scratches from her. Animals recognize good souls. She was a wildlife rehabilitation foster and she was always surrounded by animals. 💕

The only i got is after working in an addition addon for a house(insulation) the owners have horses, i went to the fence to pet a few of them, and 1 of them was trying to eat my shirt😂. I had to pull away, didnt want it to eat any insulation fiberglass or whatever else is on it, plus its my work shirt it has enough cuts and tears in it.😂

@@alexs2195I’ve spent a lot of time hopping fences to hang out in irish cow fields, don’t ask me why… but in my experience, Irish cows will instinctively crowd around you anytime you enter their pasture. Once you hop their fence, they will waltz their way over to you and then just stand around, vacantly gazing at you as if they’re expecting something to happen. If you try to pet them, they will back off, like they’re afraid that you could hurt them. I could be wrong about this, but I have always assumed that It’s not so much an emotional reaction, but actually just the most basic Pavlovian response to your being there. Maybe they’re expecting food or water, maybe they’re anticipating that it’s time to move down the road to the next field, or maybe they’ve just been trained to huddle up near the human whenever one enters their field, which could save the farmer a lot of daily frustration that would add up fast. I guess that compared to an American factory farm, this farmer is probably like a cow Mother Theresa, but otherwise this kind of behavior seems very normal.
Sad thing is that they are going to begin sacrificing cattle in Irland because they "cause of climate change"......in Ireland of all places!! where they are doing it right!!!!🙄

It's not odd at all. Every creature has its own personality. Like my cats, they're siblings but so different in temperament. One is nuts and the other is so calm.
Totally! My parents are farmers and we had cattle at the farm, not many, just two or three at a time. Each cow had her own name and each responded to its name. And each cow had her own personality. Rosita, the matriarch of the clan was very calm, responsible, and motherly. One of her daughters took after her, while another was the wild child. And also, when one of them had a baby, they all collectively took care of it. Just as a good grandma or aunty would. Where we lived, small farmers could choose to take their cattle daily to a common pasture and hired a single man to take care of all of them. My parents cows usually hang out together there, but also had one other cow best friend.
It always annoys me when people say cows should be let to roam freely. Cows are no longer wild animals. They need a lot of care and have a lot of affection for their owners. Cows can also be very stubborn. You can't get one single drop of milk out of them if they don't want it, because they can voluntarily control the release of their milk supply.
Cows are very curious. I had a pet rabbit get out and the cows found him first. I knew where he was because they had him surrounded checking him out. Poor bunny came home cow licked all over. 😂

Most dairy cows have a routine for milking and bedtimes. They usually line up to do both. Grew up near several dairies.

The ladies making smaller copies of themselves would get the spot they liked and return to it every year. All we had to do was let them out to eat and exercise, and when they were done they'd go back inside.

Cows are one of the most mature and understanding animals. I have no issues with people who eat non-veg but I will only say when we know that there is a being with similar biology and emotions we need to understand their pain better. So eat meat or whatever but try to control the liking of variety and send their souls to heaven respectfully. If you can't stop eating non-veg then atleast don't slaughter them like madness. Let them leave peacefully and pray they come next time as a better species because they sacrificed their body for you

After about a half hour, it was quiet and peaceful. but I felt I was being watched. I turned around and startled a herd of dairy cattle., on the other side of the fence. They had all silently drifted to the fence to investgate what I was and what I was doing.. The cows were stretching their necks to look over my shoulder. lol
We had some cattle and they acted like dogs - such personalities when you interact with them regularly instead of putting them in cages and lots.

Don’t be so sure. I run a 2400 head hog confined feeding operation. The hogs love me better than my cows that are out on pasture. Sure they annoy the crap out of me sometimes, but it’s just because their doing what pigs do, being curious. I haven’t had many cows let me give them scratches but the hogs don’t mind even though they have a plenty of room to get away from me if they want.

Thia happened to me when I was with my dad at the hospital. A mother hen and her chicks, because I started feeding them, they soon began coming very close to me. Soon, they were eating from my hand. Was just so lovely. Miss them 😢

Idk about that. Whenever I go to the little villages, I often find my vehicles surrounded by cows and they won't even let me get in without some shoving. They never seem to do anything to me. Reminds me of my Grandma. When she would go get veggies from her garden she’d take the time to set her basket down and go to the fence separating her property from her neighbors. They raised cows. One of the sweetest things I loved to see is when they saw her they would come running because they knew they would get hugs and scratches from her. Animals recognize good souls. She was a wildlife rehabilitation foster and she was always surrounded by animals. 💕
Thats awesome. Loved to have seen that. The only i got is after working in an addition addon for a house(insulation) the owners have horses, i went to the fence to pet a few of them, and 1 of them was trying to eat my shirt😂. I had to pull away, didnt want it to eat any insulation fiberglass or whatever else is on it, plus its my work shirt it has enough cuts and tears in it.😂
My mom was a wildlife reabilitator too! We had all manner of creatures. Most often it was babies whose mother had been killed in traffic.

this is standart cow behavior, this is why for example their is videos of people singing or playing music to cows... If a person does something diferent in front of cows they are going to flock arround and watch it
@@alexs2195I’ve spent a lot of time hopping fences to hang out in irish cow fields, don’t ask me why… but in my experience, Irish cows will instinctively crowd around you anytime you enter their pasture. Once you hop their fence, they will waltz their way over to you and then just stand around, vacantly gazing at you as if they’re expecting something to happen. If you try to pet them, they will back off, like they’re afraid that you could hurt them. I could be wrong about this, but I have always assumed that It’s not so much an emotional reaction, but actually just the most basic Pavlovian response to your being there. Maybe they’re expecting food or water, maybe they’re anticipating that it’s time to move down the road to the next field, or maybe they’ve just been trained to huddle up near the human whenever one enters their field, which could save the farmer a lot of daily frustration that would add up fast.
I guess that compared to an American factory farm, this farmer is probably like a cow Mother Theresa, but otherwise this kind of behavior seems very normal.
