Great video! Just replaced my girlfriend's alternator, and it took only 45 minutes. One thing though, on the 3L 6C SOHC, you push the pulley towards the back of the car instead of pulling toward the front.
You need to get your own auto repair show , you explained everything in simple to understand terms , I will be doing this myself Monday and save money , thank you and God bless you.
i think the amount of views on this video speaks for itself. this car is absolutely bullet proof, but for some reason it's alternator goes bad so often. this is gonna be my third time changing it over the years.
Bout to change mine right now, hopefully it’s not much of a hassle but I’m going to smoke anyway so it doesn’t really matter when I’m high, as long as I’m not too high so I don’t blow myself up.
Recently replaced my starter engine and think my alternator is going now too. This looks much simpler but hard because of the belt. Amy tips or extra tools that would help me fixing this? Also side note when i try and start my car it does the clicking thing, im just assuming the alternator
@@thomasfixit7931 i was turning it the wrong way haha. Thanks for the video i switched mine out and it works great! The hardest part was getting the belt back on properly.

For those people wondering why they keep replacing their alternators it’s bcuz of the amount of oil leaking into the alternator I had the same problem

Hello I have this car and when I try to start it, it just clicks excessively. is this the batter, the alternator, orboth?
clicking is a dead battery. It could be the battery or the alternator, or both. You can figure it out I'm sure.
I would check the battery first, if good then check the starter.
i cant seem to get the tension bolt to ease to take the belt off it wont budge..any ideas?
Without being there hard to tell. Just make sure you're on the right bolt and turning the right direction
