The Karate Kid Trilogy || All Kata Scenes (1080p)

When I was a kid, I had a really big Karate phase 😂 I did Karate for about 5 years and got up to green belt. Though I don’t do it anymore, these movies still are very monumental to me. I loved the Karate Kid movies and I still do! Here are all the kata scenes from the Karate Kid Trilogy. (Let me know if I missed any in the comments down below): Kata: (Japanese: 形, or more traditionally, 型; lit. "form") is a Japanese word describing detailed patterns of movements practiced either solo or in pairs. Karate kata are executed as a specified series of a variety of moves, with stepping and turning, while attempting to maintain perfect form. Mr. Miyagi and Daniel do Kata in the trilogy and for me, it’s one of the best parts! I also included a personal favorite from The Karate Kid Part 2 where Daniel and Mr. Miyagi are training in silhouette lighting!

What's interesting in the last scene Daniel does a jujitsu type throw on Mike Barnes. I wouldn't have thought a throw like that would have been permitted in a karate point type competition?

not sure, but if you trip your opponent or they fall, and you get a clean strike to the body, that's a point. However, I can't say I've ever seen a judo throw being used in a Karate tournament before. Not because it's illegal, but more so because trained karate practitioners won't throw a punch that will allow that kind of takedown to be used like that. that move requires the opponent to literally throw a haymaker and become off balanced to allow their energy to be used against them like that
