Title: The imprints of the medium evolution in jet quenching
Abstract: In this talk, we present a novel extension to the theory of jet quenching, incorporating the effect of both the flow and anisotropy of matter undergoing hydrodynamic evolution. First, we study the modifications to the gluon radiation spectra in the pressence of evolving matter, which becomes anisotropic in the transverse plane to the jet propagation. Second, we annalyze the interplay between the two, which results in a significant rescaling of fundamental objects like the energy loss rate and jet quenching parameter, potentially transforming our understanding of jet-medium interactions drastically. Finally, we discuss phenomenological implications that the presented results have for a realistic imaging of the QGP created in HICs.
