So I called them today to order me a pair after watching your video since ONCE again you got me spending$$ haha, any who they don't make them out of aluminum body no more like they use to, now they are making it out of nylon body...I don't like that at all....I think aluminum frame was much better they shouldn't changed it can't buy them in aluminum no more, so I didn't place an order
That's a super interesting change. I'm going to send them an email and offer to pay shipping both ways and get a pair in and look at them side by side. Maybe I can get a statement on why they made the change. Thanks for the tip!
Good morning. I spoke to MaMO last night and they’re going to send me one of the new frames. I’ll have to do a video comparing the two. Thanks a lot for the tip!
@@AdamChandler86 Well this morning at 10 am michigan time i bought a new set from them updated nylon not aluminum , i wanted aluminum but they only have nylon so by mid next week i will be getting it for my 2017 bmw 1200 gsa. They explained me in great detail that nylon is so much better option in many different ways, i belive them...I was not happy paying $250 for them , but they can thank you for that hahaha , all the best
I don't believe so just because you really have to crank down that outer bolt as it's holding a lot of weight. I'd send the MAM folks an email, they're great at answering questions like that.
On my oilhead GSA (2009) they were not great on the highway. 80 MPH, you couldn’t make out who was behind you (important if you’re doing 80) but on the liquid cooled GS, they’re very smooth. I’m really happy with them 30K miles now.
I’ve asked them to send me one sample frame so I can test it. I don’t think it’s a regression but I hope they can publish a video or let me test it. The old model was aluminum and wasn’t perfect either.
When you do a full turn, aren't they touching the wind deflectors (it seems pretty close).thanks.
Looks Nice. Is it cast Aluminum or Machined Aluminum?

Funny how they use cheaper materials but charge the same price.
I already have plastic guards. I'll pass.
wish they have in white.
Would these puppies work with my bar end mirrors mate?

@@AdamChandler86 Thanks Adam.
Adam what mirrors do you have? I looked but I cannot find a review on them? Are they better than the stock?
Those would be the DoubleTake Adventure Mirrors. Love them and have them on every bike.
Adam Chandler do they vibrate a a lot that’s what I saw on the reviews.

lets see how the install goes on a S1000XR please.
Nice design but the new ones are plastic. I'll pass.
