This is actually a very effective workout, the only things you could change to maximize your results are to widen your arms so they're parallel and hold a weighted barbell as you curl
Hi, physiotherapist here. Please understand that not everyone has the same capacity as a beginner in exercising. The main goal for this type of exercise is control and muscle activation, which targets both biceps and pecs, and more on the red muscle fibers. my only issue is probably the part that she edited it in a way that it gives you bulkier muscles (if regularly done it may result to a more lean upper arm), and that she didn't do the full range of motion that will maximize the results. Still, I wouldn't call the exercise useless.
this does absolutely nothing for pecs lmao. and no, doing this "regularly" will not result in leaner upper arms. losing bodyfat and getting leaner will. you cannot spot reduce fat, especially with a movement like this.

It doesn’t do anything because he isn’t doing it the way she said to. You press your elbows together and keep pressing as you move your arms up and down it creates resistance and uses your strength to create a “weight”! Her arms are actually exactly what her target demographic wants their arms to look like. So showing off those biceps are actually a pretty effective thing to do. (despite the fact that the workout itself is bullshit)

These actually help me a lot. It’s not for if you’re trying to build up a lot of muscle. It’s to keep your muscles active and help them recover. Oh please. I have been doing her workouts for a long time. They are meant for toning, mobilty and endurance, not muscle building. As a dancer, blogilates videos have helped me immensely.
I mean yeah you’re a dancer, and dancers are supposed to be agile and flexible which this workout may help with. But saying that it gains muscle is kind of a understatement. Especially when you have the goal to get bigger muscles this is just a ineffective way for muscle growth
Lifting weights is really good for endurance idfk what lifting a bit of air does, further more doing like 20 reps of lifting weights will produce some muscle and therefore some strength
This is demagogy as its peak. You may have been doing her workouts for a long time, it doesn’t mean this video in particular isn’t a fraud. Doing low weight curls, like 1kg, or low resistance band curls will help you a thousand times more than this. It will literally help you much better for toning and endurance. Up to you to choose a almost useless exercise, or actually doing one that will have much better results in a way shorter period of time.
I will admit that some of blogilates stuff won’t give the same results as lifting weights but her work is really good for building endurance and I like the pace of her work.

It’s to keep your muscles active and help them recover.

@@bambitoelafaki6036 it is perfectly effective to use Pilates for weightloss idk why y’all think you have to OD on everything. You work out so hard you don’t even realize a lot of it is extra. This actually does work. It’s Pilates not weight lifting.
They're beginner exercises. I did alot of blogilaties workouts when I was younger and up until end of 6th grade, progressively working up to her harder workouts. They help teach muscle control, flexibility, cordination, and strength. Also, doing multiple 10min workouts was mentally easier than doing a commited 50 min workout. I recommend blogilaties to anyone getting into working out because she's very positive.
Jesus you’re young

If you've had to recover from an accident then you know these type of exercises are very very useful.
Just not for people in good health.
For sure but if you can already perfectly control your arms this is useless and there's countless more effective movements for pretty much anything you want to achieve. Bigger muscles and strength=High intensity (big weights) curls, endurance (also "toning")=high volume low weight curls
@@Ho_Lii_Fuk I love that you start by saying "if you can perfectly move/control your arms". After an accident, you can't, for months and months. Physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Or for old people or people recovering from sickness.
It's not all about building muscle, extreme strength or endurance. If you've never lost mobility then you cannot even imagine what it's like for your own arm or leg to be heavy for you or taking 5 steps is exhausting.
She doesn't start her video by saying "Here's something you can do if you were recently in a horrible accident and just starting to recover"

You're wrong on this one, Sean. Cassie's audience is mainly women who aren't bodybuilders. For someone with little arm muscle who would struggle with weights, this is a great exercise.

@@suda_lifts blogilates never claimed that it is meant for muscle growth.

You focus on breathing and slowing down at times. Not everything needs to be about looking bulk when sometimes you just prefer different ways to move.

So I tried it, and it actually works! I felt the heat in my muscles!
You just have too big muscles preventing you from raising your hand to the right position as she does 🤣
Nah man... it's not because his muscles are too big, it's because this is straight up bullshit. @@emanuelegaddi3545 have you read the other comments? It's not bull, it does help those with disabilities or injuries, and it also helps get beginners started on their fitness journey. If you're none of those, then ofc it wont help because you're more advanced and have moved on to harder things. But that doesn't mean it's bull, it works for its target audience and bc you're not the target audience, it's not going to work for you.
@@gdaym8y I agree that it can help people with injuries or disabled people, I actually think that it can really help those who woke up from a coma, but saying that this will build muscles?? This is straight up false information. And even for beginners this won't help, simply because it's just you performing the movment that the biceps are designed to do without any resistence, you basically already do that in your everyday life
Has anyone told you feeling “heat in your muscles” means absolutely nothing ? You can literally stand there and flex any muscle in your body for extended time and feel “heat”. It won’t make you stronger or give you bigger muscles. If it did people wouldn’t lift weights they would just sit in front of a mirror and pose for an hour
Here we go. Another loyal customer of placebo effect.
I suffer from extreme chronic pain and slowly lost my ability to be active, and had all but given up on having a toned body before pilates. These exercises improved both my health and my body image, and they weren't causing me extreme pain. This one in particular I would recommend because it helped me build a huge chunk of arm strength back when I was at my weakest.
But it is a basic strength or minor toning move that increases mobility, not muscle size or necessarily strength once someone has reached or recovered to their most base abilities and physical comfort. Congrats on recovering BTW, it's always a good story to hear
