    Matt is what every ENTJ should be. I was an adjacent in Afghanistan for a security contractor and he used to get up smile on his face look at us and say "alright little duckies! This is a red op. Lets get to the RED!" And hed grab his rifle and hes right out there with us. Absolute gentleman great fuckin operator loved seeing that in this movie

    This is a great looking movie, which, unfortunately, is lost on most general audiences. Its becoming more and more rare in todays movies.

    Denis Villeneuve would be the perfect candidate to direct a body horror movie

    Love this movie so much, Villeneuve is my favorite director working. Also, I signed up for Writer Duet! Great system they got there. I love it, so convenient.

    The USA led mission reflects the our moral ambiguity. It was clear to me of our contribution to the “problem.” We are not innocent bystanders.

    23:56 The wife is definitely not innocent. As for the children. The younger one may be, but the older one is definitely cognisant of how the family wealth is made. So are at least ⅔ of them innocent? No. Do they deserve to be killed? It depends on where you think the threshold of ethical culpability should be drawn.

    Just finding out the same guy wrote Sicario, Hell or High Water and Wind River. I’m blown away. Those movies are amazing as well. Not to mention those three films were made in three years.

      They all have a mystique about them, where youre not quite sure whats going on that make them very engaging movies.

    The scenes with Silvio, the policemen show how trafficking is part of the economy. Law enforcement are not paid well. I would not say he is forced but more like he needs extra cash p. If he doesn’t do it, someone else will. The other harsh reality depicted is the bribe money isn’t reflected in Silvio’s family lifestyle. I do like the comparison between Silvio and Kate’s characters. The next time I watch Sicario I’ll remember that point.

    The laize faire attitude that the millitary guys have is absolutely realistic. Guys who do that kinda stuff for a living will tell you the kind of jokes and language they use is 100% accurate.

    Many say Alejandro is the protagonist, but I think Kate is the protagonist, and she just doesnt win in the end, and audiences arent used to that. Shes really fighting 2 villians at the same time - the cartels and the US govt.

    Yea I stopped watching after all the limp apologetics and moralizing. ‘It’s not that crime ridden’ ‘ok there is a lot of murder’ ‘but it’s because of poverty’ ‘boo hoo they made a gangland look like a gangland’

    • @t-rossi80
      @t-rossi80 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They sympathize with murderers. Not a good take in my opinion. There's plenty of people in poverty that don't resort to crime.
