Pro-tip: You can sometimes copy setup values like spring rates and damper rates from other sims just to get a baseline.

Great video as always. I especially liked the video transition you used at 1:29.

Just an FYI - it was recently discovered that there was some bug with RaceRoom's MX5, making it too fast on the straights, fixed now.

Great comparison video! I love to race with this car. There's one in rFactor 2 may be a mod though, and one in FM7 but FM7 physics is worse than NFS.

would love to see you do a similar video with the Porsche cup car from iracing, acc, and rf2

Tried out the RR mx5 cup. It was literally impossible to get the thing to oversteer. I'm talking loosen front sway all the way, tighten the rear all the way. Then jump on the brakes and swing the wheel from side to side and it refused to slide. Not at all how an mx5 cup handles.

At least AC cost's 4.5 dollars for the ultimate edition on summer... iRacing has that dumb subscription service just to play online (on which many complain the servers are complete crap) and bloody expensive everything, big nono.
Raceroom... no thanks i don't like greedy f2p business schemes.

i mean, i get why iracing works the way it does. it has a league system, it has a rating system, it has server maintenance costs, they manually review ban reports... on AC it's all grass roots. i personally think AC drives the best out of all of them, and it's the sim i spend by far the most time in, but when i want to race i basically need to set up i my own server and invite my friends to play.
if you want to frequently race against similarly skilled opponents with a working matchmaking system, honestly it's better than anything else, even with all the problems it has. Kunos could never afford to provide all those services with AC costing 13 bucks when it's not on sale.
it depends on what you want from your sim. while the handling simulation is absolutely hardcore sim in AC, the racing is mostly a bit more casual, and the whole thing is basically an extremely competent sandbox. some of the most fun i've had was a touge downhill session with 8 drivers and the abarth 595. you can't get that anywhere else except beamNG.
ACC is kind of a halfway point between the two if you're into GT racing. but again, the simulator aspect of it is so much better than how they use this foundation to make online racing happen...
