brett's lofi: who are you?
brett's soundtrack: i'm you but scarier
Brett has the power to hurt you with music
I think we're looking at another side of Brett that we haven't seen before.
I just like your George Harrison's profile picture
Man, brett's lofi took some steroids
take a look at his recent effort
Brett is just a genius in horror music without even knowing it.
agreed he went into trance when he started playing. he was channeling something. o_____o
@@quillclock He was obviously messing around, bursting in laugh several times omg. Apparently that music got into your head ... chanelling LOL, wtf. He is really good at making horror music, when people are totally freaking out here.

Also Brett:
Ikr! Brett seems to be in disapproval of his innate interests
This is how his life sounds like
Maybe THAT is the reason why he doesn't need horror movies with that soundtrack in his head 😅
I thought Eddy said that
My thoughts exactly!
Eddy's first question: "Is there a general guide that I should approach this with?"
Brett's first question: "Is there like, sound effects for like, leaves and sht?"
Because Brett is a Mozart in a way (albeit not as good) , he can picture the track in his head, he just needs to write it out
@@ronelel2109 Mozart cant even compete with Brett

Brett : Half smiling, half trying to bop his head to it

Brett has a talent of making terrifying soundtracks. Every time they collaborate with Shaun Brett unleashes a new monstrosity. Needless to say they should do this more often

it's the accumulation of feelings whenever he listened to young prodigies

It's amazing how Brett pressed like, six notes on the keybord and it already sounds horrifying.
The moment when he starts to compose the horror starts too :D it's like immediatly turns out a creepy/spooky thing at the beginning.
Brett is so incredibly creative, and it's like no one realizes it.

The moment Brett put his fingers on the keyboard: start of horror movies
Maybe he know that he never could compose music as good as eddy. So he turned his composing into horror music for jokes
I thought it couldn't get more traumatizing after the lo-fi, but brett keeps invoking whatever demon there is living inside him cause that's the only way you can really describe his writing process
It really is hilarious how both compositions are terrifying 😂
I know right😂😂 maybe brett should consider being a horror movie composer😁😁
How can someone so smoll and adorable looking create such psychotic music

Okay so Eddy followed the assignment extremely well but Brett just went galaxy brain. I love that creepy horror soundtrack.
Brett understood the assignment 🤣😭💖
My horror blood loved it. Tho I kinda imagined it as a psychological horror kind of thing.

Eddy: gets all excited about creating epic cinematographic soundscapes.
Brett: How to say you are into horror movies without saying you are into horror movies.
Good that shaun is back I though he was so traumatised by brett's lofi that he ran away

And I think...Brett finally did traumatize Shaun now...

I love how Brett is sitting so innocent in the middle while he was the once who creates murder music, lmao
Horror filmmakers: Mr. Yang?

Once again: undeniable proof that Brett would be considered a certified genius if he decided to write for a metal band.

I'm new to the community, but I realized from some of their videos (like in their games and their art painting and stuff) how Eddy is pretty structured and analyzes things to get his desired output, while Brett is more of the gung-ho "we'll cross the bridge when we get there" kind of thinker where he doesn't think in advance, he just thinks on the fly.
Brett's shifty eyes at 12:00 (at Eddy) and 12:01(at Shaun)... which one will be his first victim? Then his psychotic laugh at 12:39. Love it XD
Eddy is a natural with composition!
how can you caught the shifty eyes lol xD
Eddy is a natural at conducting also!
10:10is even funnier😂😂
Eddy's composition: came from a very happy movie somehow related to Up.
Brett's composition: came straight from a horror movie about Brent trying to kill you.
And just like that, another brett masterpiece is born😌
Brett's is like a Castlevania, Resident Evil, Alone in the dark Boss fight type of music
Eddy's is like the epic Intro to an adventure game with characters that are appealing to kids, something like Lego Adventures games
Gives off Obscure and Obscure 2 ost too
Shauns: Adventuring is fun
Eddy: While your adventuring, you faught against an enemy
Brett: U died

Eddy: Alright here's my epic soundtrack Shaun
Brett: **summoning demons at 3 am**
Paganini didn't sell his soul to the devil, BRETT DID! Brett the lo-fi genius is now challenging the mighty Hans Zimmer
As someone who listens to 12 tone serialism, I can say that Brett's soundtrack is amazing.
Please don't mind but what is 12 tone serialism
@@NewFelixTwo You basically make your piece based on a row of all twelve pitches You often turn it upside down and backwards and stuff and can have "chords" by sustaining pitches as you play others and you change up the rethemes as well. I would recommend checking it out, as well as finding better explanations than mine. But be warned: once you leave behind tonality and seek to make all pitches equal, one finds what some would call deep primal emotion that moves moment by exhilarating moment, and what others would call utter bullcrap that doesn't even sound like music.

Eddy's soundtrack feels like a pseudo Interstellar movie theme for the main sequence, or like a flashback style trailer that gets dark after we pass a middle point with a dialogue like "Then..... it all went wrong" as the tipping point
Brett's soundtrack feels like the tough boss in a Souls game that has multiple phases that get worse and worse, at least 4 lifebars..... you don't have any potions..... you just screwed up your last dodge roll and are at your last sliver of health...... You Died.

As a composer myself, this video was really interesting to watch! I'd love to see you guys do some more videos with composers. Particularly something like playing the parts they write for violin. With software like what Shaun is using, I don't think a lot of composers are aware how parts they write actually translate to being played on the instrument, so it'd be super interesting to see a video of you guys and a composer working together to create a violin that's not just playable, but really shows how much more musicality you can get out of an instrument than what's available when using a sample library.
Hello, please tell me the name of this software, it will be really kind of you! Thanks in advance

Meanwhile, Brett's track is like a music ad where the main character(s) are those who listen to a youngER prodigy(ies) slaying any piece(s).
I am living in Brett's track.
I've rewatched this so many times, and the little giggle from brett at 10:10 sums it all up. Absolute gold.
Imagine how epic it would be if they just tried to compose Video game soundtracks. Whether it be super chill, Genshin impact or Zelda type stuff or like halo stuff. I think they’d be great at it.
But Brett's specifcally relegated to boss music and all the night levels
Brett could have a serious carreer as a horror movie music composer lmao
i’m just envisioning them trying to convince producer shaun to do this after the horror of lofi
It seems like Producer Shaun has finally gotten over the Brett Yang Horri-fi trauma
I actually love and appreciate Brett's track most. Like the majority of people would normally do happier, upbeat, mellow, etc., like Eddy, but Brett took a route completely different and I like that.
He channelled horror and fear pretty well to make this song. I'm not the type to like horror or scary sounding / looking things but I just appreciate his effort so much even if he were jokingly making this piece of art✨
