If you launch a car at those revs you’re going to completely knacker the tires and the clutch.

@@PasymCzivv i think his point is hes using up the whole rev range. where some cars powerband is more so in the mid, not high rpm. like for sky-G 2.0 i believe the torque band is optimized between 3500-4000rpm

Launch RPM we're way too low and shifting is incredibly slow.🤨 Not a good representation of the cars capability.

@98envy the 2.0 liter doesn't have 186 hp, the 2.5 does. The 186hp 2.5L has a 6.8 or 6.9 0 to 60. I own the 2.5L 22 M3

Why is it lagging on the top end, are these just your gear switches, or is the flywheel super heavy?
The rev hang is real.. not sure how it is w the sky-x but i assume it has to be heavier than the sky-G (with having a ton more torque). I have the G 2.0 6MT and the upgraded pulley was what got rid if that issue. I now dont miss shift points caused by rev hang

yup, corksport or i know some other aftermarket brands have lightweight pulley. pretty simple stuff tbh. note this will drop your fuel efficiency as well. just like a lighter flywheel.

With the 120hp mazda 3 I made 9.0s 0-100 this one should be definitely quicker.

He shifted at about 6k rpms which is very late. He also only went up to 3rd gear. He should of shifted more or 3k-4k rpms as acceleration dramatically drops off a little past that. Had he he shifted earlier, 0-100 would be more around 7 secs
@@ninjalinchpin4498this engine cant go sub 8.5 whatever you do. Automatic with lounch control does 8.9 which is pretty poor for 186hp. Everything else on this car is top notch.
CX60 Is a big 2500kg SUV how he can do faster ? With this small engine 187hp.
Still irked they never brought this to the states. A smaller engine and same HP as the 2.5 while more efficient would have been a nice complement. But they worried too much about cannibalizing sales and logistics. 😢

Maybe he meant that diesel is poor ppl car and this is mazdas answer to making petrol closer to diesel spec.
Coming from only owning diesels before moving into a mazda, i was also devastated to realize the G wasnt the X. I dont know how i thought all skyactiv was the same tech at the time.
Also this has a much better torque curve that actually starts at 2k like a diesel. That shit you can be satisfied to shift at 2k on a regular commute and still make it fun and effecient. Petrols you need to step on till 3.5-4k for actual pull to happen.
Tested the '21 M3 2.5s and got 7.9s 0-60mph with balding 245 tires

Zastawiam się, czemu na tylu testach osiągane są tak słabe czasy, mam Mazdę 3 z pierwszej generacji SkyActive-X w manualu i przyśpieszam o wiele lepiej. Ale wiele osób obchodzi się z nią jak z samochodem uturbionym, może dlatego. Przede wszystkim nie startuje z zerowych obrotów i z włączoną kontrolą trakcji jeśli faktycznie chce wystartować "na wyścigi".
2.0 120 KM 3-ciego genu robi lepsze czasy niż 4 gen 186KM - Jeździłem tym autem i też mnie to zadziwia. Chyba masa jednak była decydująca
Przecież to auto nie ma przyśpieszenia 10 sekund do setki. To co tu zrobił ten gościu to jakaś padaka.
Bo ten silnik ma słaby moment obrotowy, czyli główna siła napędowa jest do bani. Dzisiaj silnik 1.0 z turbiną ma większy moment obrotowy niż ta pseudo technologia SA-X.

Look at the torque and power curves, then youll understand why its not really about the redline in these mazdas.
Realize they usually have higher displacement but doesnt put out crazy power like a lot of other brands. Mazda likes longevity and reliability with their handling. All around drivers cars.
It’s surprising that such a heavy SUV do 0-100 on 10 seconds with such a low-power engine.

Need to hit the max torque point with your gear shift, over revving is costing you so much time. I have the exact same engine, i did it in 8.1.
Yup, with the G, 4k is the peak of the torque curve. For the X in this vid, its a lot more usable like a diesel @2k but peaks around 4-5k

While they make the same hp the 2.5 makes more torque lower down in the rpm. Americans don’t like to rev the engine out, so brands prioritize that here.

Bro I drive a base line 3 sedan fwd and that shit moooves for 186hp. I’m upgrading to the turbo sedan awd I’m hyped. But u can do so much more then this guys doing in the video if u two step the gas u no lag my friends done it millions of times in his cx-30 and has had no issue. U can control the gears with the pedal in automatic, teach yourself how and you’ll beat cars u shouldn’t.

Да никогда CX60 не поедет быстрее со своим весом 2500кг и таким маломощным мотором,у меня Гибридный Лексус на заднем приводе 224 лошади и 300 момента едет 8 секунд при весе 1700кг.
Hay un error en la descripción. El motor 2.0 desarrolla 153 HP. El motor 2.5 desarrolla 186HP.

In Europe 3 starts at 118 bhp. 13-18 model.
There are 2 different 2.0 engines. The Skyactiv-X is the spark-controlled compression-ignition engine. It's very high compression, and gets nearly diesel efficiency from 87 octane gasoline without knocking. It's rated at 186 horsepower, while the regular Skyactiv 2.0 gets anywhere from 120 HP to 155 HP, depending on the application. It has pretty high compression, but doesn't implement compression-ignition.
And now that with a car full of people and luggage, no thanks 😂
the 2.5 makes 186 not the 2.0
The US model is the Skyactiv-G 2.0 2.5 2.5T, the rest of the world has the Skyactiv-X 2.0 which is what's being shown.
