When trying to teach knots, use rope. IT does not matter that half of it is supposed to be wire. Rope can be seen. 2 different colors of rope is even better. Another option is to use a black sheet of paper as a background. IF it cant be seen, what good is it?
YES! This is pretty much exactly what I run for husky jerks, death pause minnows, and pretty much any smaller jerkbaits. I do however size up to the 20-30lb range if I'm targeting muskies
That's a fantastic question! There's no reason not to use them with soft plastics. I think the biggest reason you don't see many people doing that is generally when you're throwing plastics, it's more of a finesse presentation, so stealth comes into play. That said, I have thrown plastics with this leader and caught plenty of fish. Great question!
very interesting - wish I had been using this when the big northern bit me off at the net - pan to get some at D&S
good stuff noah! love it! big fan of the cortland or SA knottable wire products too! Congrats papa humfeld!

Would this also work for small musky jerkbaits like Lee’s DPM or like a 5” shallow raider? Or would you use a heavier wire like 20lb instead of 12lb?

Hi, way not using titanium with soft lures? Will the soft lure be damaged somehow? Or has it to do with the action of the soft lure?
