I do it West African style: with goat meat, dried fish, fresh fish and chicken; peanut butter; and coconut milk. I am cooking it in the next two days, only need the dried fish now!
I had it off a colleague from Sierra Leone at work, it was so good. But he didnt cook it, someone cooked it for him. So I am on youtube looking for the recipe. The one I had was made with dried fish. But I will give this verson a try.
In Congo we don’t make it like that - it’s just as delicious I understand in SL they do so which is fine but please don’t come and ask us to add things to have our recipe match that of a different nationality, it’s rude
i tried your previous pondu recipe and it tasted just like the one my husbands grandma makes❤️ we thank God for the amazing food he gave us

How to process into cassava block?
Hello can you please put all the ingredients in the comments
You can add peanut butter to help thicken the sauce and okra to help with the texture
In Congo we don’t make it like that - it’s just as delicious
I understand in SL they do so which is fine but please don’t come and ask us to add things to have our recipe match that of a different nationality, it’s rude
Can I leave out the egg plant?
Yes you can
It's an aubergine not EGG plant
Do you put raw meat in it or cooked?
I put Pichard fish
Hey Elle, instead of courgette, can I substitute cucumber instead?
No
You can't add cucumber. However, your not obliged to add courgette. Many times I do mine without it.
Can we substitute palm oil with something else?
With pondu no to be honest
@@letsCOOKwithELLE I had to travel to a neighboring city to get it but I found it and it tasted great :)
@@Jaspinamwira260 that’s good ☺️
My mother in law uses olive oil to substitute and it still tastes very nice
@@PositiveGlowsno it doesn't
