  • The Xiaomi SU7 has been on the market for nearly a month now, and recently, more and more customers who have purchased the Xiaomi SU7 have been voicing numerous problems they have encountered on the internet. Each person's situation varies, but from the videos, it can be seen that the Xiaomi SU7 has significant design flaws. Due to single-layered windows, the sound insulation is poor, allowing people outside to make commands to "Xiao Ai" (Xiaomi's AI assistant) through the window. Furthermore, another video questions the issue of Xiaomi car door handles.

    I just love the guy who casually judges the Xiaomi engineers for being too lazy to rip off Volkswagon's emergency unlock mechanism. Like, the Chinese are so synonymous with intellectual property theft that their consumers are angry they haven't stolen better schematics. 😂😂😂

What do I do when I need to replace my 21" dashboard LED outside the warranty? I guess it would be time to buy a new car. I wouldn't trust Mercedes or Tesla to get that right much less Xiaomi. The same with making everything electronically controlled where a simple handle/lever would work. Stupid, dangerous, pointless liability.

      I can give you many reasons as to why they can’t drive properly but that would take too long. So just three reasons, they learn to drive in a small area moving at 5-10km an hour and never on the road in traffic. They have no logical thinking because they’re never thought to think logically as that would cause them to fight the system and finally they are always on their phones like literally all of the time. I’ve lived here for more than 10 years, have ridden motorcycles, bicycles and driven cars for most of it and I have to curse and shout at people all the time. 😂😂😂 I always tell my Chinese wife she will never drive my car with our children unless I teach her outside of China and I’m fully confident in her skills. I have worked on transmission and vehicle control unit software design for several popular car makers including BMW, Peugeot, Fiat and Ford. We have been also selling these products to Chinese auto companies as well. The main difference of the European and Chinese versions of the sw was the security and quality modules. Chinese auto makers were always rejecting the security modules and also were not caring about the quality checks which make the sw a lot cheaper. By then we thought that they are going to develop those modules by themselves. But then we learned that they were deploying the automobiles without all those sw modules directly to the customers which is absolutely not allowed to do in Europe.

    Not just China, but it appears that China prioritizes money and profit over everything else with zero regards to even the simplest things such as safety concerns. Like, how can one think of a design where a complete stranger from outside of a locked vehicle command the car to open… and the car opens. Like, wtfh?!?!?!

      America has this severe problem too. Japanese cars are so much better than American cars it's like they were made on different planets. But they give their cars patriotic names like Liberty, and Patriot, and most mechanics will admit the products are bad, but they still buy American. That said, American cars have improved significantly over the last decade.

    Single layer windows? In Australia we only use single layer. We don't do double glaze in cars. Didn't even know that was a thing. I know airplanes do it

    • @felixtag5121
      @felixtag5121 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Double is usually standard for Cars - also most likely all cars sold in Australian from all the known Brands use that like VW/AUDI/MB / BMW/ JEEP or whatever - all of them have that standard... It's for Insulation to stop Heat/Cold Transfer from the inside out and vice versa. It is extremely thin and not visible to the eye like that. But the argument "I can yell commands from the outside" is stupid as this is not for that... sure it will have "some effect" for noise reduction but not that massive as there is close to none gap to prevent noise. So, to not be able to jell commands from the outside will work also with Double layer glass - that’s just a software problem and they will fix that - also the thing with the GPS with some software updates....
      The 2 main flaws that would concern me - 1st: the Brake Pads THAT IS A BIIIIGGGG Problem - and 2nd: that the Air tank for the Suspension is based in the Back. These Air Tanks usually sit behind the Front axis... if you get rear ended like in the video with the lotus crashing the SU7 you won’t be driving anywhere after that with all the suspensions deflate…

      Software update is easy click, but hardware problem take longer time.how to fix brake pad if no recall

  • @dperreno
    @dperreno 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    All of the software issues, such as being able to open the doors by talking to the car, can likely be fixed thru software updates. Other issues, such as stiff suspension and the lack of alternative door locks would require hardware changes. I'm not surprised - the automotive business is much more complex in practice than most people seem to think. All new entrants have a steep learning curve. Tesla had (and still has) a huge number of problems with their cars. 16 years later they are now making pretty solid, stable cars (well, except for the Cybertruck...)
    As to the crashes, look, this is a Porsche wannabee car. I'm going to assume that there are a certain number of buyers who are going to try and drive it like a Porsche. There could also be other problems, but 99% of road crashes are due to human error.
    Small brake pads: This is an interesting one. As an electric vehicle, most braking is usually accomplished via regeneration and so the vehicle doesn't need as much brake capacity as an ICE vehicle. However, if it is being driven as a performance vehicle, especially if tracked, then yes, it needs bigger brakes. But this is true of any vehicle driven on the track. Here in the U.S., anyone who tracks their car will use a separate set of wheels and tires and will also put on new brake pads and rotors before each race. If you want to track that car, you should probably be upgrading the calipers as well. Just saying.
    BTW, I'm not trying to say it is a perfectly fine car, I'm just pointing out that it's a new car from a company who hasn't made cars before, and also the customers may very well be not using it appropriately. Is some of this Xiaomi's fault for designing and promoting this as a performance car while the engineering doesn't seem to support that? Yes, of course. But history is strewn with cars that looked flashy and couldn't deliver the performance without serious upgrades. The customer has to take some responsibility for knowing what it is that they are buying.

      @agusedyanto3324 4 หลายเดือนก่อน
