There is no other female vocalist who can come anywhere close to Liz's vocal dexterity. She's one of a kind and I never tire of her or Cocteau Twins. I've been listening to them for over 30 years.

Spacefreak Agreed. As much as I love Simon and all he brought to the Twins, the driving, melodic awesomeness of Will’s lines is unquestionable and I really would have loved to hear what his influence on the band’s sonic evolution would have been. I sometimes imagine what certain later songs might have been like with one of Will’s bass lines driving them...🤔

I only just discovered this video and it gave me the same chills down my spine as when I first heard it. 1980. I had read the album reviews, so off to the university bookshop and record store, headphones secured, and then this otherworldly magic begins to play...
Wow! What a treasure (no pun intented) - this must have been around the time I was lucky enough to see them live,at Liverpool University, and it´s such a joy too see such a stripped-down performance in contrast to the highly polished videos that came later (which I also love, don´t get me wrong!)
So I kept hearing the cover by Deftones and I kept thinking to myself about how much it didn't sound like a Deftones song, so I decided to look it up and I would've never guessed it was Cocteau twins but God I love it !!
I just know that I have always fancied Elizabeth Frazer strange, unusaual and perfect and always will be, I fell head over heels for her in the 80s when I too was a very young and she still looking good now, if there is a song I like best it would be From The Flagstones because everything the Cocteau Twins made is good listening and watching, I really love the video Pearly Dewdrops Drops made in a church.
Saw her live at the Barrowlands for the Heaven or Las Vegas tour, supported by Dolphin City, the night I was there was special, Liz's parents were in the rear of the audience as it was her birthday that day, she was so happy they were there and by god we felt it too. What a show!!
Great post, great sound and doesn't Liz look hot with long hair, just as I'm typing this,I just saw a comment below lamenting the same thoughts, hahaha, and good to see Will Heggie on the bass.
I saw them same year in Stockholm. Finished up Liz drink left on stage. It was vodka & Orange juice. Such an evening, still remember the Smoke, smell & mystic vibe… best band! Still is! God bless CT!

Absolutely, out of this world. Top if the tops
That Richenbaker definitely bites dirty🖤
where is he now??
weird, I was there, it was a double gig with Siouxie, I remember Eliabeth's handpicking particularly
That must of been a spectacular concert. Two amazing women. It took me 26 years to see Lisa Gerrard Dcd in the states in concert.
wOw - What a gig it must have been :)
+Night Owl- DCD at the Opera House 4 years ago. The sound of the pa rig was a bit rough but a good performance nevertheless.
So cool.
You lucky fucker! ;)

Wow, amazing! I love this concert so much. If I could choose one concert to attend in all of history it would be this one.
Garlands is truly an essential album for the "goth" scene and sound. Kids today know nothing about

Oh yeah all those Liz Fraziers of the 80's. Kids these days don't know what they're missing. All they have is thousands of Ian Curtis's.
