I don't think he put the car into Sport Mode and left it in Economy Mode. It makes the car a little Sportier and responsive. I own this car and I love it.
Can u explain this to me please? I am confuse. I just bought one and so if u put in sport mode do I need to turn off economy mode? Sorry for my ignorance!
@@dulceh4128 I think it's that extra paddle with the plus and minus attached on the back of the steering wheel. I will try that and see if there's any difference with the econ mode that's ON or OFF. I just got mine the 2020 sport and still trying to get to know this car.
@dulceh4128 putting into sport mode bypasses economy mode. The paddle shifters also behave a little more aggressive. It's no sports car but it's quicker in sport mode.
Update, we got rear-ended on the freeway in September, and after 3 weeks their insurance totalled out the car. We used the money to buy a 2024 CR-V Sport Touring AWD Hybrid. Car and Driver gives it a 10/10. I'd give it an 11/10. The new HR-V is uglier. We were not big fans. So upgraded.
It seems when the term "sport" is used, appearance is the favored reason. A lot of other manufacturers use it for the same purpose. Why, even the clothes we wear could be labeled as 'sport" but everything else is unchanged. It's too bad because even I agree that it should include a more aggressive drivetrain. Too add, no sunroof, another option which I feel is missing. Presently I own a 2017 HR-V EX as my daily driver, 3 yrs plus without a single issue.
In Europe the HR-V Sport has the 1.5T with 185hp, but the equivalent of the 'Touring'is only available with the 1.5L with 130hp, CVT or 6sp MT, no AWD available. Honda bring us a real HR-V RS, AWD and the 2.0T with 250hp
In Europe the petrol version is just a 1.5 litre. The smaller civic gets a turbo version. Why isn’t Honda trying with this car? The interior is excellent!
Its slow. Center console is a horror show if you like to store stuff there. The steering wheel obstructs the odometer no matter how I adjust it and theres not really a engine temperature guage. I have the awd 2019 sport and other than that I love it.
Fun fact: the 1.8L I4 this has, is the same R18 that debuted in the 8th gen Civic 12 years ago in 2006. Not that it's a bad engine, it's just old. I guess the only argument for it is that it's VERY tried and true.
1985 Cadillac Brougham with a 5.7 V8 and over 4000lbs of weight made about the same 140 horsepower as this Honda. Most cars on the Autobahn today make less horsepower than that. It’s not underpowered. Your expectations are out of sync. You expect a sports car from a sub-compact crossover economy box.
Guys I bought this model for my wife reconstructed with 58000 miles ; we love it but I can’t find the switch for the odometer to stay on permanent with the miles displayed ; every time I turn the car on the round odometer for the miles it’s on the miles traveled from the gas used ; also the oil reset button I can’t find it either; please if you know where I can locate those things share with me ; thanks in advance!!
@PussMag Yeah I would pass on this as well. No power seat. CVT. Underpowered. I still don't like the exterior look. All monotone (grey or grayish black) inside (typical Honda). I rarely see these on the road.
Too bad it’s slow as heck, rides like it’s sitting on a bag of bricks and the interior feels cheap. Not to mention you’re stuck with only a CVT 🤮🤮 Pass. And take off that sport badge. Nothing sporty about it. Seriously.
SPORT? but has same 140hp, and a CVT!!☠️☠️☠️ nope nope lmaoo just cosmetics lol You can get more sport out of anything else in base model lmao😂😂..Honda can keep the rice package 📦
Honda why bother with this Sport trim??? same engine, the materials are still crap inside with the small center storage console. There's no power door locking button for the passenger door WTF !!!!
Outside looks good, but the powertrain is criminally underpowered. Need the Civic Type R's 2.0T in there.
People actually like the way this segment looks! I think the little SUVs are hideous.
How bad?
What is the ECON button for? Thank you !!
The HRV sport in UK has a Turbo, same as Civic Sport. No sun roof though. The FIT / JAZZ is also called Sport, but doesn’t have turbo.
I got a turbo one in Belgium here
And red leather int

Put the shifter in sport, then paddles.

I hate how at Honda, "Sport" models are pretty much just base models with an appearance package.
Not much different than Chevy's RS trim, was pretty dissapointed to find out that its just an appearance package
@S. D. H. I dont care about the safety tech, I'd prefer sport to mean more horse power and a more sport tuned suspension

The sixth thing you need to know is that there is no sun roof planned for the turbo model.
Its slow. Center console is a horror show if you like to store stuff there. The steering wheel obstructs the odometer no matter how I adjust it and theres not really a engine temperature guage. I have the awd 2019 sport and other than that I love it.
fuel pump problems?
How to set oil life
Seems like it would have a higher MPG for it's size. The 2019 RAV4 is higher.

@@afcgeo882 Where did I say this is underpowered? What you just said doesn't really have anything to do with was I said.
Ryan Littleton when you said it’s old. Otherwise, the age of a design is irrelevant, especially when the fuel efficiency has kept up with updates.
@@afcgeo882 Saying it's old is NOT saying it's slow. Last time I checked, I said it was a good engine. Hell I've got an 18 year old engine in my Si.
Just like the Fit, this model could use a sporty engine upgrade
I got the turbo one 182 hp
@@kevinelders7124 I envy you, is it possible to upgrade my stock to turbo?
Why oh why didn't Honda put the 2.4L engine???????????? I would have bought one ASAP.

how to convert fahrenheit to celsius??
Did you figure out how to change temperature?

Don't even know why they call this a sport. The sport is the 1.5T (182 hp 240 nm 6s manual) what i have . Only EU
Its is NOT a sport version to be a sport take that huge civic engine and put it into this one
Choke, choke...can't even get out of its own way!
"One of our favorite sub compact SUVs" isnt that like having a favorite punch in the face?
The Tail lights need to Go.
I have seen some amazing After Market Lobster Claw Tail lights which aren't much more expensive than the originals.

That seems expensive for what it is.
That’s my feeling too, for a few grand more you can get a used CR-V. I Think it’s too pricy espicially for such a weak powertrain

Tell me about breck idont like it this car breck
