- This is a quick review over the features and functions in the 2019 Honda HRV. If you are considering purchasing one, or have already purchased one this is a nice refresher over what the car has to offer.
We bought a 2020 Honda HR-V EX yesterday. Every time I’ve had a question about something, I find the answer in this video! The Honda book is useless! Thank you SO MUCH for doing this video! I really appreciate it!

I bought one last week and I can’t find a way to open the tailgate from inside the car. Did you figure it out?
You can unlock the tailgate using the door locks or the key fob. But this is not a power tailgate. Meaning it is not going to open automatically...

Great video. I build the crv but had been debating between a crv & hrv but since my plant doesn’t build the hrv I had very limited knowledge about it. Your video helped a lot and allowed me to easily determine the differences that would impact my decision.

I just purchased a 2019 HRV EX with only 32k miles on it. I love it. There were some buttons and items I didn't quite know what they were for and you answered them! Question though - I DID notice that the temperature indicator was on when you were first recording. It was blue. Mine is like that too. I'm assuming that means nothing is wrong or it would be yellow or red. Does that come on normally when you first have the car running? Thank you again for this video. Huge help!

Great quick review I just got a 2019 Honda HRV EXL and this video helped me a lot. My key has a button for the trunk, I this point I can only lock and unlock it from the key, is the tailgate supposed to open automatically when pressing the trunk bottom??? Thanks
That button is just to be able to unlock the hatch alone.

This is a great tutorial. How do you get the dashboard to display the digital speedometer and get out of the settings mode. My mom hit reset. Now a bunch of lights are on. She is kind of freaking out. Not sure how to get the system back to display how she likes it.

The mechanic just replaced my radiator - 2015 Honda crv because the car was experiencing an overheating but I was surprised that after a few hours that the little screen on my dashboard show maintenance info and co display screen went blank and the shortcut bottom on my steering stopped working, the screen remained blank till now, i can not control the radio, volume or anything on my steering again, Please how do i get it working again?

I have this car and I have a question. Before when I was driving in a specific street it would say on my dashboard the street I am driving on. Now it says just the coordinates. I tried looking everywhere but cannot seem to find it so I can change it the way it used to be
We just got an HRV 2022. When I put on the cruise control I see 4 tires and lights on those tires but I don't see how far I am from a vehicle in front of me. We had a Subaru and it always showed the distance. What's going on?

I’m new to my new car of a 2022 Honda hr-v and I got into an accident…while I have the collision brake on that I shouldn’t put more pressure within the brake while the light is flashing before I get into an accident right because it’s doing that for me? I’m only asking because I’m not used to it and it was flashing and I could hear it but I kept going with it while it did it. Honestly it hurts me to have flashbacks of it or even know what I did wrong.

Leather-Trimmed Seats
Automatic-Dimming Rearview Mirror
Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel and Shift Knob
180-Watt Audio System with 6 Speakers and Chrome Speaker Rings
if you find that these features are important to you, then maybe I would go with the EXL...

How can I add my own picture to background?
I bought the 2019 EX model this past December. I was wondering what do the colors (white or green mean on the gauge cluster) , can I change the colors to something else like red or pink etc, is there a way to always have the miles show how much more I can drive when I’m getting low rather than just it blocking and just saying low fuel, and do the mirrors fold on this model?

The green and white light system is to help out with gas mileage. If it is in the green the way you are driving will effect your MPG's in a positive way. If it fades to white it will negatively effect it. On the right side of the gauge cluster in the dash you should see your trip info and gas gauge. you can toggle through the menus to show you your range ( how many miles you have left on this tank of gas).

shola i find that this car is prefect for me. It’s a nice ride and drives smooth. Still trying to learn some of the “tech” things but very user friendly.

My elderly parents recently bought this car in the UK.
My question is, will all the features like Apple CarPlay and other HUD features be the same? They’re not the most technically capable people, so they really need guidance.
But I think the features available in the US may differ from the UK

Please explain more about the up and down shift on the steering wheel. I'm not really sure how to use them
The Paddle shifters allow you to lower and raise what "gear" you are in. You can use them for engine braking. If you were traveling down a mountain you could down shift to slow the vehicle down without using up the brakes. You can also upshift to coast a little easier. If I wanted to gas the car real hard while driving I could shift down gears as I gas it to give me more torque. It really just allows you to control the performance a little more.

I currently have CRV. I no longer need as much space and was thinking of this car. Is this car "low" to the ground like some sports cars?
It is not. The CRV and HR-V are about 1 inch in difference in ground clearance I am pretty sure...

Hi, can I reduce the brightness of the reverse camera at night? It's kinda blindingly bright.
I know you can effect the brightness of the screen in general, but I do not think you can adjust it to dim specifically when the backup camera comes on.
Hi there, I am unable to upload by contacts from my iPhone via bluetooth. Any idea how? Thanks!
First thing you may check is: go to the Bluetooth settings, click the i next to your car and turn on the option to share contacts.
If that does not work:
un-pair the phone from the car and delete the phone pairing info via the car's phone setup (be under Bluetooth device list). Afterwards, turn off the car and reboot the phone. After the phone has rebooted, turn on the car and pair your iPhone to it via the Bluetooth setup.
Usually one of the two of these options will take care of it.
Question, is there a way to use my remote transmitter to roll down the windows, as I'm walking towards my car?
The HR-V does not offer that feature.

The EX does come with an audio touch screen. The AC controls are below the touch screen.
Does it have a garage door opener?
I was wondering if I can install a gps map to the system so that I don't have to attach my phone to it everytime I need to use a map.
There is not a GPS APP install available. You would need to use your phone on this model or buy a trim level with GPS built in.
Can you explain how to make hear WAZE during driving. I connected iPhone, but, WAZE from the same iPhone keep silent.
You may need to check the settings of the app. Make sure the voice is not muted. Then check to make sure the volume in the car is turned up also.
Is 2003 CRV the same size as this HRV? (Yes I know, two diff vehicles. But size looks awefully similar)

I assume you are talking about the front passenger seat. I do not know that there is any specific factoids that go along with that. Just a lot of air vents! LOL

I am 6 ft and it is just fine for me. But I would encourage you to sit in one and see what you think.

I chose the HR-V EX AWD over the Kia Seltose and Toyota Chr. My final decision was based on utility and resale value. But to be honest, had I based my choice on looks and handling, I would now own a Kia instead of this Honda.
Everything is well and good according to car reviewers, but as an owner of a 2019 HRV, it is an underpowered and noisy vehicle. It is so unsafe, when the transmission does not engage when you are in a merging lane into highway. Buyers beware.
if there were to be large problems with this vehicle as mentioned I would think you would have noticed them when you test drove the vehicle?
