The Skydweller is my grail watch for sure. Probably in yellow gold, but this blue dial looks phenomenal. They all do. Absolutely gorgeous watch.
Exquisite watch...one of the best complications by Rolex till date...looks perfect on your wrist...want one sadly can’t afford it...!!!

Got the call on mine this summer. A perfect steel stunner in every way...amazing dial, complications, size, etc. Absolute perfection!
Had the option to pick up the blue dial vs white dial and after having both on my wrist, I decided for the white dial (it’s amazing) kind of silver, it’s more legible, elegant sporty yet and it goes with everything. Enjoy the best Rolex model you can have at the moment.
At the top of the market (Mar 2022) you could’ve bought two white dials for the price of the blue.
@@powerplay.556 I don’t care about resell value … there is too many blue dials on the market but beautiful white /silver like the sky dweller there are not many options… and to be honest … the price difference between these two are only 2K
I am not a fan of ROLEX at all, but I love this watch. the complications and the way you set it up ...just amazing

Must be one of the best "does it all"-watches. This is my favourite dial colour too! I did find the background music during the sticker removal a tad too loud, compared to your voice, it could just be the speakers on my device though. As for the toolkit certainly some cool stuff in there, like the red dust remover and the spray, things I'd never think of but are very useful for anyone who is into watches. Beautiful the movement is fantastic. It’s not too thick for me. This watch is on my list as a choice for my next piece. I love the blue and the white gold combination. I like the black or what is probably more like a grey dial too. Looks great on a black strap
This rolex sky dweller is the best watch that rolex produce.. if you can get it for retail price, what you get in terms of technology, movement and quality is head and shoulders above any other rolex models including the daytona (and I have both).. took rolex years and years to release an annual calendar and they didnt disappoint in this. The bezel function is totally unique in the watch world...I prefer the yellow gold version but that just my preference. They are all good whether its steel or precious metal
Beautiful Watch and amazing compilation. I finally learned how Rolex managed to control this complication with only one crown. Only surprise to me is the clasp, it has no security latch!
It is a masterpiece, I think the same about every Rolex new in the box all references I'm not a Rolex fan boy but I do appreciate the best in any field thanks for sharing wear in good health sir.👍

Beautiful piece, my friend. Slightly weird not hearing you say "welcome back to Weekly Reviews" but I'm sure I'll get over it. Either way, My theory about the new background - it's wonderful for the unboxings, but I'd love to see the histories and full reviews/comparisons in the more natural setting. That aside, the only thing about it that got me was the back corners at the bottom seemed to be kind of open to what was on the other side of the "box" you were filming in. Don't know if that's avoidable or if that's just how it is, but I figured I'd mention it just in case you didn't realize. Otherwise, loved the review, and so happy to have you back!

Did he have a channel before this one? He only has 7 videos on this channel, none of which have "welcome back to weekly reviews" in them.
Oh yeah, it used to be called "Weekly Reviews." Ran into some issues of some kind, if I remember correctly, and the channel went the way of the dodo, hence this one being so young.

The white version for me. Perfection
I've got a barely worn decade old boxed Skydweller in my safe at home.
I bought it to mark my retirement from a full time military career but living with it wasn't quite as easy as I thought when trying it on in the AD.
Eventually, when I think the market is about to peak, I'll sell it on so it might not have been the terrible decision I thought it was when I fell out of love with it!

It is indeed a lovely statement piece. Here in Dubai you can get your hands immediately on any of the Skydweller`s unless it has a blue face. The arabs have been going nuts for it. Weird. Sincere honest video. Looks fantastic on your wrist. Despite all my travelling i`v actually yet to see one in the wild.

Thank you for this amazing video I have put my name on the list since and finally received the SD this Xmas. I love it so much and it’s all because of this video.
I hope you read this comment and share your opinion on if my SD is the only be but I found that the crown on my SD is not fully flushed with the case when finger tighten. I thought it was a jam so I tried to do it more careful a few times but still see theres a slight bigger gap between crown and flush on the SD compared to my OP41 or DJ41.
Please kindly share if this is normal or do you have the same problem? Is still water sealed?

What a stunning watch, love the SS/WG combination with the blue dial, the black dial is pretty good too. I have ordered one but when it will turn up is anyone's guess. Such a brilliant watch.

hi, I really like your video and all the details that you shared. I have a DateJust 41mm black dial and looking to upgrade, I am pretty much in your line of thinking with the upgrade I think the blue dial is awesome. I am concerned if the 42mm will be too big. Thoughts? Not sure if it the Sky Dweller is thicker than my DateJust II. I bought my Rolex two years ago (first Rolex) and I am surprised how much I still like it. They truly are great watches and an incredible company.
I am in a similar boat but with a DJ on blue with jubilee. This watch is awesome thinking of upgrading

I personally like the steel version of the Sky-Dweller more than the precious metal versions. That beautiful blue dail fits also very well on a steel Rolex model imho. I love the design of the Datejust and Day-Date (I have both of them in my collection) and I guess I will also add the Sky-Dweller 326934 to it soon.

My AD here in the states just offered me this same watch. Need to drive to his shop 1,000 miles away in a month to pick it up.
An Annual Calendar has to be put continuously on a watch winder to enjoy this complication. Just like Perpetual Calendars.
Or just wear it every day like I did with my '83 GMT Master for the first 22 years I owned it. In fact for all that time, I didn't realize that it was manual wind!

So two years on, this blue dial Skydweller has become harder to get than a steel Daytona and I have just switched my desire from a Rootbeer to this watch not least as they are now the same price but this is a far superior technical piece as well as being more dressy!

How easy is it to buy one from AD? Is it as hard as submariner?
Much much harder mate, I got the new 2020 sub no date in 3 weeks. This watch is rumored to be harder to get than the steel daytonas.
In the states the AD’s are required to remove the stickers and the bezel protectors completely. I assume this is so you can’t claim it is brand new never sold. Interesting that he is able to buy these with the stickers still on these Rolex watches..

I have the date just 41, blue dial, fluted bezel on a jubilee. What do you think chaps, DJ or sky dweller?
Almost three years to the day, my AD called me yesterday and mine was finally in. I consider myself to be one of the chosen few to be able to own this caliper of a watch. I feel bad for my blue Datejust that I now call the little brother to the Skydweller. I did notice that the watch came down in price a few bucks; earlier this year it was 16 grand on the Rolex website, I paid 15,200.00 U.S. same price that is now on the Rolex website.

@londonwatchcollector if you focus on high quality watches you should definitely consider a lange & söhne! I love the brand and also think, that they produce the highest quality of all the watch makers - of course for a high pricetag. A saxonia moonphase or datograph would perfectly broaden your collection! You have to look at these movement and the attention to detail once and you will Fall in Love !
I don't think he's into german watches, sadly. It's an acquired taste. I agree, a Lange shits all over Rolex any day of the week.

If this watch is not a constant "daily driver", it must be a pain to have to set up the annual calendar every time you want to wear it. That is the issue with owning so many high end watches - you can only wear 1 at a time, and the others keep stopping. Every morning you must be re-winding and re-setting......??

This is an exquisite complication! I want one but can’t decide on blue with steel or champagne with steel &yellow bracelet. Why did you not go with an earlier precious metal version with Roman numerals or Arabic numbers? I somehow also like the 2017 more. I hope to see more dial colors and maybe with jubilee bracelet at baselworld 2018. Sadly I can’t go see in person. Btw, I don’t love all the folds of this new videoing box. Thanks for making your videos!

A ten dollar watch will never have a soul, it's there to tell the time and that's it, nothing but time. A timepiece like this Rolex really has a heart and soul, it tells many stories...
@@igotmoremotion Don't get me wrong, I'm itching to buy another Rolex. But in my mind, you really can't judge a watch based on its pricetag. All watches have their own stories - the memories that you make with it.
@@igotmoremotion Pricetag should be irrelevant, as long as it is a watch you love. I have a G Shock, Datejust, Speedmaster, a timex and a Casio. I would have to say that the Timex has a special place in my heart because it was my first watch. The Casio was a gift from my mother who is no longer with us. The Datejust was given to me by my wife as a wedding gift. They all are important to me and i would never sell them for another watch! The G shock gets the most wrist time, just because it so durable, and i can wear it at the gym, or out in the city.

The watch is said to be fully waterproof. Wouldn't the ring command bezel compromise this, to some extent?
Not at all there are seals all around the bezel making it 100 meters water proof

Very nice watch. Unfortunately, my AD has already informed me that the blue Sky Dweller will be discontinued this year for its tenth anniversary (launched in 2012). New Dial coming. Since my AD has always been right in the past, the watch will probably cost €50,000 and more soon this year.
This could be the only one watch, on your wrist it looks great not to big just nice, its just a very bling watch, i would like to see it on a leather strap or this kautschuk thing they have. The good thing is it holds the value and wirh luck even more. Nice watch keep it and enjoy this nice peace

Not sure how you keep getting these watches. In the US, all Datonas, Sky-Dwellers, Sea Dwellers and subs are extremely hard to find. You make it look like they're out there.
AliSalim he has spent a lot of money with his AD, and has built up a relationship. This is why he can get them before anyone else. It’s the way Rolex ADs work. All these watches are available, only to select customers. Not available to the general public however, in most circumstances.
I realize this. Unfortunately, for me when I have the money in my hand I want to spend it right away. Which is why I keep going back to Omega. Rolex's strategy is to make very little quantities of their watches to make it look like they're rare and in high demand but they are losing business when a customer who is new to their brand doesn't find the watch he wants. Now that's not to say I don't have Rolex .. I own a Sub and a DateJust. Omega can follow the same strategy, make little quantities but they don't. That's why they keep getting my business. I own 3 Omega so far and plan to make them 5 by summer .. whereas Rolex is sitting at 2 in my colleciton.
