  • Replaced the pawls and springs on my profile elite rear hub. The hub had been skipping, so after cleaning and inspection, I replaced the wearable pieces and I’m back in business.
By no means am I professional at this, I just wanted to show what the hub pieces look like as I reassembled things.
After the freehub is placed back into the hub body, you need to work the seal back into position so it keeps the moisture out when you wash your bike or ride in the rain. I neglected to film that for this video, but it’s pretty common sense if you’re trying this for yourself.
    Thanks for watching!
    Liam

What happens if my profile beastmode hub has gone quiet?

Liam, thank you much for taking the time to make these informative and inspirational videos! Amazing job addressing skills on and off the bike! It's nice to know how to tool on your bikes as well as ride them well. Question, did you replace the entire hub on your Monster Quad or is it possible to replace just the driver assembly your holding in your hand that the pawl and springs go in and keep the stock hub? Either which way are you able to post a link for the item(s)?
With much appreciation and blessings, Thank You

Hi, unfortunately the entire hub needs to be replaced because the splined/serrated ring needs to be matched to the pawls and size of the driver with much precision. For the hubs themselves, this is the link for the rear, and the front is called a “Beastmode” as well, but a standard 110mm hub should work as well. I happened to get a matched set. www.profileracing.com/product/beast-mode-compatible-elite-rear-disc-hub/

Is it common to need to replace these on such a new Profile hub?
