    How different is the process for elite splined drivers? Removing the lock ring for the 16T cog was simple but havent gone past that yet. Profile racing rules

    Just push a spike or small Allen wrench against the pawls while spinning it..fishing lines too difficult

    Why is the drive side spokes crossed and the other side straight

      Some racers are into radial lacing, but you can't do it on the drive side. It's more of a look than anything else.

      @@bmxultradotcom Best to use cross lacing on all spokes for rear wheels, to handle the torque from hub rotation while pedaling. Cross lacing half of the 36 spokes, is 18 spokes, then half of those (9 spokes) are properly oriented to handle hub rotation torque. Surprised you haven't had issues with the wheel twisting when you pedal hard.

    I can't get my driver off. my hub has a incomplete sound the hornet nest has a pause in it if that makes sense first time servicing my hub not sure what's going on

    • @bmxultradotcom
      @bmxultradotcom  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Which hub do you have? You should be able to unscrew the bolt on the driver side and then hold the wheel and pull the driver directly away from the hub shell.

      @bmxultradotcom I got the tire off got both bolts out but the driver won't come out I grab it by the teeth and pull just like the video but nothing

    it's dumb profile a good brand just over price there products sell there. hubs for like 600 and it really only got maybe on average 120-250 to manufacture and assemble like they make at least a good 250 bucks profit every Hun they sell it's entrepreneuriing but still.

      Profile best hubs! Been doing it longer then most the other companies. Your paying for quality, tried and proven products and American made! I did bmx dirt jumping and racing for years. Now I DH and still run there products on my DH.

      @@lngtrvl8447 yeah profile are the best. i have 2 sets of onyx and one set of profile elite on my bikes. my onyx are pretty much new, they ride great and spin well and the silent instant engagement is pretty cool. but my profile elites are 5 years old. i ride my bikes all the time and i know my bearings are old and worn but they still keep going, the hubs not as loud as my friends new profiles but they spin just fine and after all this time i’ve never had a problem. i know my onyx will never have that kind of longevity and with the engagement, price, and how well they have held up over time any other hubs just don’t make sense. next time i ever but new hubs i’ll definitely be picking up a fresh pair of profile elites.

      @@trevorkornish4034 yup great hubs. I have a Santa Cruz jackal . I run Hope pro 4 on that. Wanted to save money and it’s just a DJ. But the pro 4 is legit , best bang for your buck. Quality,smooth, ect.. only been running them a few months so longevity?? I donno. But there fully rebuildable so no worries

      @@trevorkornish4034 your buddies profile hubs might be louder to because they are dry. Couple drops of oil will quiet them down. When my elites are dry on my DH , my bike fuckin screams down the trail.
